I am shocked that this doesn't exist. I have hundreds of entries, and they are a complete mess without sub-folders.

This is the only reason why I am currently forced to stay with Keeper.

Tags would be great and very important. Similar to Proton Mail
To get a some kind of this functionality I have created 20+ vaults

Definitely need this for me to contemplate leaving Bitwarden. So keep the Vaults, but have them as a drop down list to select from (rather than down the side). Then underneath where Vaults are now we would have folders instead. Do one better than Bitwarden in fact and allow a three level deep folder structure as you do with ProtonMail.

And finally allow decent filtering so we can pick the Vaults we want displayed in the list, rather than an all or nothing situation like we have now.

Further to his, ensure the importing taks get improved to support this new paradigm. Allow users to pick where imported data goes in a more granular way for example.

Some people keep talking about "Tags" and tags are better than folders. Well if you like Tags great, I am not a fan of tags. I want nested folders.

Yes, please. This is the only thing keeping me on Bitwarden/Keepass at the moment. It would be great to have a way to organize our credentials instead of having them all on a single page.

I'm using a deep structure of subfolders in Gmail. I've found out that Proton mail supports just a level of 3 subfolders. this prevents me from transferring my mailboxes to protonmail.

Tags and folders are pretty much equivalent. Just tags are more flexible as you can add as many as you want to one item - you are not limited to add the item to a folder or subfolder.

But tags show as folders. So you can go to a tag and see the items that have that tag, as if it was a folder.

The thing with tags is that if you actually asigned a multiple tags to an item, you can find that item until any of those tags.

As said, just as folders, but more flexible. This is why I like them best for a password manager.

In my case, my folders are my different vaults. And in addition, I have tags making my life easier and not restricted just to add that item into any one folder.

Using KeePass, folders is a must have. Things like tags is a nice to have, but folders help keep hundreds of passwords organized for me

I would like to argue that tags are more versatile than folders, as tags can be used to simulate folders, but also much much more.

I agree!.I use Keepass and it allows this.
For me, the only thing missing from ProtonPass is this item to fully use this application.

Agree 100% w/ P.M., having a hard time justify the migration until folders / sub-folders are implemented, and there's an easy way to import Google authenticator tokens in.

Keeping my logins organized is very important to me. There was 2 features that kept me switch to Proton Pass. (1) Extra password/separate password and (2) Folders and subfolders. When folders and subfolders is implented then I will happily switch to Proton Pass. Please Proton Devs implent this.

A directory structure is the most basic and useful concept of organizing anything. The whole point of password managers is that there are too many services for you to remember logins for. And no, the search does not negate the problem. You might remember the names of the services you used recently or often. But if you, for instance, reguarly change insurance/utility/etc companies when contracts expire (looking for a better deal), you won't remember them all. Or that specialist shop you purchased a very specific item that one time two years ago, and would like to buy it again. Or, that old-school forum you got an answer for your niche mechanical question, that suddenly requires revisiting. Sadly, having a couple of hundred logins, it would be impractical to switch from my current password manager until this is implemented.

There doesn't seem to be any logical way to sort through the list of existing Logins. If Proton Pass would at least list entries alphabetically it would help in reviewing and organizing extensive lists, even without Folders. Folders and sub-folders would also be extremely useful.

This is something that both Bitwarden and Lat Pass does - automatic individual entry alphabetical sorting and Folder lists and the ability to import with Folder lists and entries intact. Extremely useful feature and probably the one thing keeping from switching to Proton Pass. That and the fact there is no light mode or appearance setting like in Protonmail.
