I'm on the unlimited plan. As a Linux user the 500GB of storage isn't of much value to me. Being able to mount my Proton Drive on the filesystem and being able to use an API to access it would be a game changer for many people out there!

I pay for unlimited and don't use Proton Drive at all as I'm a Linux user.
I now use Baikal, Floccus, Webdav and Fossify apps for calendar, tasks, bookmarks and contacts. It ties together nicely in Thunderbird with Proton Bridge.
I can use Fossify Contacts/Phone (F-Droid) on my phone to dial with and address emails. I've been able to cover all the deficiencies. I'm using Seafile for documents and Immich for images. It is possible to be Google free and use Proton Mail on Linux.
I'm planning on downgrading my plan to only Proton Mail as the functionality is insufficient for me unless they surprise me. A Proton VPN linux client with split tunneling, a drive client of course and cli clients. A contacts app for Android would be nice too.
It's Proton's email that is what I want most. Unless there is an comprehensive integrated suite of apps for Linux people won't buy in.
