Most other (Android) apps allow "sharing" of photos with the Drive app. This end up as a file in "My Files" and then there is then no way to move them to the "Photos" part of Drive.

I don't see the need for this. In fact, won't this make moving photos between "photos" and "my files" more clunky (when that feature inevitably arrives".

Proton rightly makes a fuss about being a Google replacement and in all another respects for me it is superior. But without archival pre-1970 date support it is not a Google equivalent (Google can do this). This is preventing my full migration. I can see how this might not appear important, but a date is a date :shudder: millennium bug #2!
