Many organisations rely heavily on shared task systems to keep on top of actions, important deadlines, equipment checks, kpi milestones, event planning and staff’ tasks. At the moment we do this across multiple external apps, which aren’t private, aren’t designed for teams, and don’t integrate with Proton.
A Proton-built reminders app—simple, private, and team-friendly—would be a game changer.
Some features that would be amazing:
- Shared lists across Proton Business plans
- Task assignment to specific team members.
- Due dates & reminders, including recurring reminders.
- Subtasks / checklists for bigger workflows
- Tagging or categorising tasks (Events / Finance / Safety / Equipment).
- Integration with Proton Calendar (tasks automatically appearing on the assigned date).
- Integrated with Proton Mail (show lists in side panel)
- Integrated with Proton Drive - attach files from drive, or links to files, save files to drive and view the task list on the right hand side of the screen in the web client
- Push notifications across devices.
- Comments or notes inside tasks to avoid scattered messages.
- Attachment support (e.g., photos of equipment, documents, links).
- Dedicated URL link support for related sites
- Privacy-preserving design consistent with Proton’s ethos.
A lightweight task/reminders system like this—end-to-end encrypted, team-shareable and not over-engineered—would make Proton an even stronger choice for organisations that prioritise security and accountability.
Thank you for all the work you do. A feature like this would genuinely transform our workflow.
