    iOS and macOS VPN clients like Passpartout already support major VPN providers such as NordVPN, SurfShar, PIA… through their dedicated API. This API allows for automatic configuration, the best server selection, server status and country selection and many more.

    The Passpartout developer and other third party client vpn providers will probably support Proton as soon as an official API becomes available.

    While I’m currently very satisfied with Proton VPN I won’t renew my subscription due to the lack of an official API.
