When an email is deleted, it shouldn’t be counted in the number shown next to the subject in conversation groups.
Having deleted emails from conversation is good (the header saying “This conversation contains trashed messages. [show messages]”), but having them be counted in the number shown in the thread list feels very counterproductive.
I want to know how many _useful_ emails are in the conversation, not how many were ever sent.
Or at least make it an option in the settings, if you don’t want to change the existing behavior for all users.

When emails from a conversation are grouped, the number of emails is shown in email lists.
On iOS, the number is easily distinguishable as it’s in a box with a border. But in the web app, it’s “just” a number in square brackets before the subject, so it’s easy to confuse it for a part of the subject.
Could this be made easier to tell apart from the subject?
