    I agree that this is an important missing feature.

    I suggest that instead of (or as well as) just copying the URL we have a right-click (Ctrl-click) function that allows the user to select a browser with which to open the URL.

    As stated elsewhere, this should be achievable:
       from an email message
    without the need for downloads and uploads to Drive
    and without the need for manually attached file sharing links.
