Further to the above, selecting a specific endpoint is often critical in order to access certain services. Some services both require a country specific IP AND block some VPN endpoints. In order to access them you need to select a specific endpoint that isn't blocked, which currently forces me to use Proton VPN without secure core in order to do so.
