1. Easy switch for registered emails from gmail to proton

   Following the ability to connect my Proton Mail with my Gmail, I'd love suggestions in my inbox that offered me an easy way to change the email address associated with third parties.

   For example, I have an account with Zalando. It would be awesome if, after an email from Zalando, there is an way for me to click-through to Zalando's account management screen where I can update my email. Providing this option for third parties who offer change of email addresses.

   I'm not sure if this could be done in a way that doesn't intrude on privacy, but would be great if possible and really help me with migrating my life (not to be dramatic) over to Proton's ecosystem.

2. Bulk import/export of sieve filters

   As a power-user I have extensive Sieve scripts that are split up into domains of functionality so that it is easier to manage and so that I can run smaller pieces of the larger filter set against my existing mailbox if that is necessary without it needing to run the whole filter.

   I also keep them in version control and have a suite of tests that I run against them when making changes. When I'm done with implementing something new it is really frustrating to have to go to each one individually, copy the contents and paste them into the UI. It would be great if you could support some means of bulk-updating the filters. I can think of three ways to do this:

   1. Map the filenames to the names of the filters. If they don't match, prompt the user for the filter to update for unmatched files.

   2. Support uploading as a zip file, with a TOML or YAML config that maps filter names to files.

   3. Support some custom syntax in a comment at the top of the file that specifies the filename

   Then, I think ideally it does the check for each one in turn to ensure that it can update. If any of the files are invalid or otherwise cause errors the whole update gets rejected. If everything can apply cleanly then all of the changes are applied at once.

   This way if there are changes in scripts that depend on each other there won't be unexpected behavior.

   I would think this wouldn't be too terribly difficult to support, and wouldn't expose less savvy users to any more risk than is already present when using these filters. It is very frustrating to click each one in turn, and it's too easy to lose track of which ones you've updated. Or to accidentally paste the contents of the wrong file into a filter.

3. newsletter digest

   Creating a daily or weekly digest message of newsletters. I can see the implementation being like an automatically generated email (opt in) that takes all the sender addresses and subject lines from every messages sorted into the newsletter view and delivered back into the inbox. This would condense messages quickly to make sure nothing important was missed and allow you to skip over everything else. This would be EXTRA useful if newsletters could be completely removed from the inbox view, or is a new -newsletter view was created. Really cut down on the clutter without the chance of missing something or something being misfiled

4. Invert Newsletter View

   I appreciate how the newsletter view concentrates the noise to one place but what would be way more helpful is a the view of all the messages that are not in the newsletter view. If either the messages in the newsletter view were excluded from the inbox or even just a new view that was the inbox sans -newsletter would be amazing. this would allow the important things wouldn't be buried in the newsletters.

6. Update Inactivity Policy

   As a Proton user who infrequently logs into their Proton account
   I want to ensure my account is not delete due to inactivity as per https://proton.me/support/inactive-accounts
   So I want Proton to modify their inactive-acount rules to IF (account inactivity > 12 months AND space used > X*) THEN delete ELSE do nothing

   *where Proton decides an publishes what the amount of space used needs to be, e.g. > 1gb

7. Dynamic email / alias addressing

   This would be most likely against the way email is working nowadays, but could every email I create be sent from dynamically created alias so I do not own a real, static email address as such and I am not prone to any spam, phishing attemps and so on?

   I could imagine me, my digital identity, my emails being of a digital pod which could be contacted only when I would have made a first, initial attempt.

   I am not even sure if this technically makes sense,

8. server-side integration for proton mail

   Proton Mail lacks a developer-facing event/API platform for backend automation. I need machine-to-machine notifications for incoming email (webhooks/events) and programmatic mail access without relying on Proton Bridge or desktop clients.
   Maybe allow users to opt into developer integrations (webhooks/API access) for specific addresses or folders, even if that requires a different trust model or user-granted application permissions.
   Or api access via user-held keys.

9. Fix pinch-to-zoom panning in the iOS Mail app & add a text-size / reflow option for emails

   Problem
   On the Proton Mail iOS app, emails that use a small font are hard to read. The only workaround is pinch-to-zoom with two fingers. The text does get bigger, but then I can no longer move around within the email: when I try to pan to the right to read the rest of a line, the app moves the whole view instead (swiping to the next/previous email or triggering navigation), so the zoomed content is unusable.
   Steps to reproduce

   Open an email with small text on the iOS app.
   Pinch to zoom in to enlarge the text.
   Try to drag the zoomed content horizontally (e.g. to the right) to read a long line.
   Instead of panning inside the email, the whole app view shifts/navigates away.

   Expected behaviour
   When zoomed in, I should be able to freely pan up/down and left/right within the email content, without the gesture triggering app-level navigation.
   Feature request

   Fix the panning bug so zoomed content can be moved in all directions.
   Add a dedicated text-size / font-scaling setting for reading emails (independent of pinch-zoom), ideally with automatic reflow so lines wrap to the screen width and no horizontal scrolling is needed at all.

   This would make small-font emails much easier to read on mobile and remove the frustrating navigation conflict.

10. See & Accept invites for others' calendars (if editor for them)

    If I am an editor on another's calendar, I want to be able to see and accept pending invites for them FROM MY OWN CALENDAR.

    EX: I help manage family members' calendar at times and I manage our family calendar. When I create and event and invite family members (ex: my wife and daughter), I cannot see it as a pending invitation on their calendars until they accept. I can view our daughter's calendar and I am an editor on my wife's calendar, but I have to open my own event to check that they were invited and I must switch to their calendar or email to accept for them or even see the event.

12. Ability to suggest other times in Calendar:

    When managing multiple people that have busy schedules, the ability to propose new calendar time for conflicting schedules is a HUGE time saver by not having to write messages back and forth. Both Google and Outlook have this feature.

13. Reply All option with Send

    Hey,

    Love ProtonMail.

    But... whenever I receive an email that is addressed to a group of people with me included... I reply and occasionally leave out the others in the group email when I'd like them to stay updated. A reply-all option would be great in the drop down menu by the Send button.

    Maybe this is already in Premium or one of the other paid plans? I'm using free, but a nice little feature like that would be great. Otherwise I have to manually enter the email addresses of the other people in the group email.

14. Show All Participants in Conversation List

    Currently, only the last sender is displayed in the inbox. However, when I am the last sender, the conversation appears without any visible sender, making it harder to identify the other participant(s) at a glance.
    Could you consider showing all participants in the conversation list, even when I am the last sender? This would make it much easier to track conversations, especially in busy inboxes.

15. Badge counters for labels/tags in Proton Mail

    It would be very useful to optionally display a message count badge on specific labels. For example, being able to see how many emails are currently under tags like “Pending”, “Later”, or “TODO” would make it much easier to stay on top of tasks and follow-ups.

    Today, labels already help with organizing mail, but without a visible count it’s easy to miss what still needs attention. Snooze helps in some cases, but it’s not a full replacement since I don’t always want to set reminders—sometimes I just want to categorize and clear the inbox without losing track.

    A simple optional toggle like “Show message count on label” would solve this well.

16. Desktop: replace "X more" by visual indicator (like in Android)

    In Monthly view, when all events cannot be displayed on a given day (say there is 3 more), a "3 more" link appears.
    On Android, instead, a visual miniature indicator appears such that it shows the event without the text.

    It should be the same on the desktop app, especially since the information density is very low (with the default font size and without fullscreen mode, I can only display one event per day on my laptop).

17. Drag existing emails as attachments in new or reply messages

    I can't actually believe this isn't something I've found searching for as an idea as it's something I use in Outlook/M365 multiple times daily at work... I love the ecosystem but the inability to compose a new message, or reply to a message and and then drag an existing email from the main inbox window into the window of the email I need to send with a "As per the attached" type response to provide evidence is mind boggling and really hurts my ability to fully migrate to the ecosystem in full. Please! :)
