Quick action buttons on Windows desktop email notifications
On Windows, when you receive an email notification from Proton Mail, there is only the message subject displayed and when you click it it opens the message. That's it. Why not add buttons like "Mark as read", "Delete", etc. to allow users to perform such quick actions directly form the notification, without opening Proton Mail?

Select newsletters with checkboxes
The newsletters view is great. It would be even greater if you cloud select newsletters with checkboxes just like emails, and apply actions (unsubscribe all, remove all from list, move all to trash, etc) with just one click to all of them!

Paste and Match Formatting on Mobile
In general most programs either strip the formatting or give different options to paste and match, etc. Would be super helpful on the iPadOS and other mobile versions of the Proton Mail app that lack the ability to paste and match formatting or paste without formatting. At the moment if I paste something in with different formatting I have to adjust in the web app. Font size is a particular issue here.

Mail App - Move mail to Folder - implement search function
On Proton Mail Android App: When I want to move a mail to a specific folder, I need to scroll through all of them. It would be nice if a search bar appears where I can search for a specific folder. Yes, I have plenty of folders. :)

Comic sans font option
I think it is the peak of comedy to send my friends emails in comic sans font, and I would like to request the ability to do that here on Proton as well (seeing as Google already allows it). It's silly, I know it's silly, but sometimes we need silly things with the world the way it is. Therefore, I would like to request the silly idea solely for the sake of comedy.

Allow duplicating events from subscribed calendars into my own calendars
Allow duplicating events from subscribed calendars into my own calendars
User Story
As a Proton Calendar user with subscribed calendars (ICS subscriptions, e.g. sports club, league or holiday calendars), I want to duplicate a single event from a subscribed calendar into one of my own calendars, so that I don't have to re-create it manually field by field.Current situation / Problem
For my own events, the event popup offers a "Duplicate event" action.
For events from subscribed calendars, this action is missing entirely - subscribed calendars are read-only, which is correct for the calendar itself.
But when I want to permanently take over a single event from a subscribed calendar into my personal calendar (to adjust it, set reminders, or invite participants), I currently have to retype title, date, time, location and description by hand.
That is unnecessary manual work for a capability that already exists for my own events.Desired behaviour (acceptance criteria)
The user can duplicate an event from a subscribed calendar.
When duplicating, the user can choose the target calendar from their own (writable) calendars.
The duplicate carries over the original event's title, date and time, location and description.
The user can then edit the duplicate like any of their own events (reminders, participants, times, deletion).
The original event in the subscribed calendar remains unchanged.Out of scope
Making subscribed calendars editable - they should stay read-only.
Any sync or link between the duplicate and the original event - the duplicate is an independent copy.Value
Consistency: the duplicate action already exists for own events - users expect it for subscribed events too.
Saves manual re-entry work and avoids typos.
Likely low implementation effort, since the duplicate function and the event editor already exist; what's essentially missing is the entry point in the popup of subscribed-calendar events.Allow duplicating events from subscribed calendars into my own calendars

Description for labels and folders
In Proton mail when creating a label or a folder it would be very useful to be able to add a description. For example, label 'C: Finance' but the description would be something like 'Loans, mortgage, life insurance, pension, investments, and so on'.
This will mean you label or folder name can be short and the description is only visible on the adding of the label or folder or by hovering over the label or folder name.3 votes -
Add BIMI Logo Fetching for Imported Emails
When emails are imported from external providers such as Gmail or other IMAP accounts into Proton Mail, the sender's avatar is often missing or replaced with a generic placeholder. It would be a great enhancement if Proton could automatically fetch and display BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) logos for imported emails whenever the original sender's domain publishes a valid BIMI record.
This would make imported conversations feel more native, improve visual consistency, and help users quickly recognize legitimate brands without relying solely on the sender name or email address

After an email is forwarded we should have a way to auto-delete it from the inbox so we don't have copies of the email.

My calendars arrangement and sorting function
The ability to re-arrange the order of My calendars in the desktop side bar/event drop down menu would be a useful quality of life change. Currently, you must deleted the calendars you have created and create new ones in the exact order you want instead of dragging and dropping the sorting, which is terrible.

Proofread Feature: Display diff compared with original draft
Current Experience with Proton Mail Web Client:
- I formulate an email
- i wanna have it proofread, to avoid mistakes, while not wishing for AI to correct anything but spelling mistakes or grammar issues
- I use the proofread button, Proton Mail displays a changed version of my original mail. I cant see my original draft at this point.
- The only way to compare the drafts (to ensure AI hasnt done anything unexpected), is to do some manual copy pasting and comparing. Doing so feels clunky and not like a productivity improvement at all.
- usually i end up using claude instead, to see both versions side by side, with claude highlighting the changes madeInstead Proton Mail should calcualte some sort of diff (like in Git Implementations). Would really improve my workflow with Proton Mail

iOS: Remind users to open Proton Calendar regularly to restore notification reliability
On iOS, Proton Calendar is treated like any other third-party app by the operating system. When the app hasn't been opened for a period of time, iOS puts it into a background state that prevents it from sending notifications for scheduled calendar events. This causes users to miss important reminders without any indication that something is wrong.
Implement a "wake-up" reminder notification similar to what Trakt.tv does for their app. If Proton Calendar detects it hasn't been opened in a while, send a push notification prompting users to open the app to continue receiving calendar notifications reliably.

delete events within specific time periods
Others have suggested important features like deleting by clicking on DEL/CANC and by selecting previous events in a series. However, I still find it critical to be able to bulk delete many events from a whole day, or period, selecting ONE or ALL calendars at a time. For example, all the events within a specific calendar from last January, or last year. Sometimes, you need to keep the events for some time but, at this time, deleting them later takes AGES. Thanks a lot, you're great at Proton!
