Ability to print a daily, weekly, monthly calendar
I "voted" for the development as a "Critical" feature but wanted to more fully express my dissatisfaction with the continued delay in activating this functionality. I happen to be a mail app user that frequently needs to print a hardcopy of the day's/week's/month's calendar. The fact that I STILL cannot do this in ProtonMail is beyond frustrating-seems like a relatively basic ask. C'mon team!

Allow any email alias to be used when SMTP Submission is authenticated.
Problem Statement
The current SMTP submission authentication system in Proton Mail & Calendar requires users to authenticate with the exact email address they're sending from. This creates unnecessary complexity and limitations for power users and developers who need flexibility in email handling.Current Limitations
Single authentication constraint: Users must authenticate with the same email address they're sending from
Token management overhead: Requires creating separate aliases and tokens for each service that needs to use different email aliases
Multi-user environment issues: Particularly problematic in systems like Ubuntu where different user accounts (root vs. logged-in user) have different usernames
Developer workflow disruption: Inconsistent with common development and email automation practices
Proposed Solution
Allow users to authenticate once with their primary Proton account credentials, then send email using any alias associated with that account.Key Benefits
Simplified authentication: Single login enables use of all associated aliases
Reduced token management: No need to generate separate tokens for each alias
Better developer experience: Compatible with common email automation and CI/CD workflows
Enhanced flexibility: Supports multi-user environments and various use cases
Competitive parity: Matches Google Workspace functionality
Use Cases
Development environments: Using sendmail with different system accounts
Email automation: Services that need to send from specific aliases
Multi-user systems: Shared development environments with different usernames
Email management: Centralized control over multiple addresses
Technical Implementation
Allow SMTP authentication to accept the primary account credentials while permitting the MAIL FROM command to specify any alias associated with that account. This mirrors Google Workspace's approach where authentication validates the account, not the specific alias being used. This change would significantly improve the user experience while maintaining security and aligning with industry best practices.

Filter Export or Filter Consolidation
I am using a lot of filters to move my emails to folders automatically. Most of these filters are generated by using the ""Nachrichten dieses Absenders immer verschieben" feature. But now I have hit the 250 filters limit, and I'm not nearly done with filter creation.
The way I see it, there are two possible solutions:
1. I need to be able to export all filters, whether they are created automatically, or by hand. Export all filters as Sieve filters, which, I guess, is the format they are saved as anyways.
Using the export, I can then use external tools to consolidate them into a single, or multiple sieve filters.
This of course means, that I need to be able to active/deactivate/delete multiple filters at once.
2. Have a function that is able to consolidate multiple filters into one. This could work by selecting multiple filters via a checkbox, and then having the system create a sieve filter, consolidating all single filters. The single filters would then be automatically deleted.Right now I'm at the limit and it is just not feasable to do this consolidation entirely by hand.
As another solution, you could just remove the cap for filters.

Proton Calendar as the default app for iCal
On macOS, it should be possible to open iCal files directly in Proton Calendar. Currently, Proton Mail/Calendar cannot be set as the default application.

Filters to apply to existing messages when a flag changes
Add flag changes as a trigger for filters. For example when an email is marked as read, check if a filter is applicable and then process it. Other triggers could be applying a star or manually applying a label.
If the server load would be heavy, it could be set up as an up to 24-hours until the filter will apply to spread the load.
My pipe dream for my Proton (and work) mailbox is for all mail to land in my inbox and be filed away automatically into a folder after i read it

Choose which alias can log in to Proton
Hello Outlook.com now is accepting to choose what alias can be used to login on account to improve security.
Why Proton mail dont do the same thing? with this we are protected from botnets(credential stuffing or brute force), because we can create a alias and dont share the username with anyone.
Thanks

Proton Mail Desktop Email Client - Multiple Accounts
I would like to see a Proton Mail Desktop Email Client (app), where I can view the status of all 6 of my Proton Mail accounts simultaneously, without having to constantly switch between each one separately. Basically similar to desktop Mac Mail app or Thunderbird app, but for Proton Mail accounts only.

Please add all functionality in the main mail app to mobile (snooze, etc)
The descrepancy in functionality berween PM instances has become problematic for anyone who rotates through thwm daily due to workflow. As a side note, being able to access my paid account on the windows app but not my free account is ridiculous.

Drag Labels to Messages
I’d love to see a more fluid drag-and-drop workflow for labels in Proton Mail.
In list view, drag a label from the left sidebar onto a message to apply that label. If multiple messages are selected, dropping the label onto one of the selected messages would apply it to all selected messages. When viewing an individual email, dragging a label onto the open message would apply it there as well.
This would make organizing mail much faster and more intuitive, especially for users who manage workflows heavily with labels. It also feels like a very natural desktop-style interaction that many users already expect.

Increase the cap on address deletions for paid users and display clear UI about cap limit
There is a very strict cap on how many and how often addresses can be deleted. As a Mail Plus customer, I get 10 addresses in total - which is a solid value - but I can apparently only delete one every year (?) or so. The actual cap limit is not published - the app simply fails with an error when try to delete a second address "too soon".
I understand why deleting addresses is strictly capped: to prevent abuse, and it also appears to be a technologically somewhat expensive, plus that address is now forever unavailable to anyone.
But it would be nice if the cap were just a tad more lenient. The reason is it turns out I need to change a few of the addresses over time for my uses, say: I need to delete 2 old ones and add 2 new ones when my life situation changes.
We can email product support and ask for 1-off deletions, but that is an annoyance (takes days). That also must cost Proton real money for human interaction/support.
So how about increasing the cap to 4 (5? 7?) per [time period], along with UI that lets us know how many deletions we have left and in what time period.
Summary:
Increase the limit on address deletions to some small number (4?) over some well-defined time period
Display UI with how many address deletions are left in our cap at any point in time.
Clearly display what the cap is (per year? per six months?). It is fine to live within a limit, and I understand why there must be limits on address deletions, but it would help to know what the limit and time period is.
Thanks so much for considering this request.

Allow labels to be marked as current or archived
Basically, I have a lot of labels from an old project that aren't applicable anymore. I'd like to mark them as 'archived' so I can still search on them, but they won't be an option to apply to new items anymore. With too many old labels the list is very long. By archiving some this list well be much easier to scroll through.

Projectoverview
An overview that displays categories or folders with filters in a column layout, showing—immediately below the header—only the 10 most recent emails (with the option to load more via scrolling). When an email is clicked, its content should be displayed in a preview pane situated beneath the list. This would provide a perfect overview for project-related communication.

mail2 Mail2 Mail2

Import contacts direct to group
When importing new contacts to Proton, it would be very helpful to be able to import them direct into a contact group in Proton.
Alternatively, release a separate Contacts module where contacts can be flexibly sorted and managed so, for example, a most recent import list can be identified by import date and assigned to a group.
Thank you.5 votes -
Add option to state availability of calendar items
Make day events by default as unavailable in booking pages. now that is not the case.
Also consider creating a flag in a calendar event that makes the invite free or unavailable. Sometimes you have these calendar events that are just reminders.

Proton Scribe Linux support
Proton Scribe is a great tool for writing emails, however the lack of support for letting users run Proton Scribe locally on a Linux system limits the usage and the privacy of this feature greatly

do not use windows action centre for reminders, design persistent reminder instead
Problem Description:
The Windows Proton app is working as intended, but that is not good enough. The Proton app uses the Windows notification feature to relay reminders to the user, and Windows can be configured to display the reminder for up to 5 minutes, after which it disappears. But it cannot be configured to remain displayed until dismissed by the user. The reminder always disappears after a short time, and if I'm not present at my PC at that time I will never see the reminder. I have missed several very, very important reminders because of this issue. That is the problem. My Request:
Do not use Windows notification feature to relay reminders to the user, instead build that functionality into the Proton Windows app and enable reminders that remain visible until manually dismissed. The Microsoft Outlook application behaves this way and that is best. How to Confirm Windows Behavior:
Windows10 > Settings > Ease of Access > Dismiss notifications after this amount of time
Windows does not offer the option of "Display until manually Dismissed".
The longest time they offer is 5 minutes. Windows11 is the same.Problem Description:

WKD
Web Key Directory is a service for automatically learning one's public key when composing a message. Integrating this would increase the amount of encrypted communication. Having WKD as a service on custom domains like OpenPGP directory does would be a nice addition.

make protonmail release for mobile linux
release the binaries in arm64
make the UI adaptive, you already have a phone design in you're webapp but this would be native linux support which will allow notifications.I'm a developer and If this was an opensource project I'd volunteer to do it for you but its not, still if this is being discussed feel free to contact me if I can help.
otherwise, when I get the time as I'm currently working on xdg-desktop-portals-lomiri and other things I'll use the unofficial API to create a client which I'd rather not.
