1. Add hotkeys to switching between day, week & month view

   Sort of like Google calendar, it would be great if on my keyboard if I could just press "d", "w" or "m" to switch between day week & month views.

   Similar to how pressing "/" opens up search!

2. Add keyboard shortcut to enlarge text (accessability)

   In the mail program, we can use "ctrl -" to decrease the size of of not just email text, but of the program itself. As a user with visual impairments, when I do this accidentally (thinking of programs that allow me to enlarge the text again, I am usually doing this to take a screenshot of a long email) I am forced to uninstall the program and reinstall it to be able to read any text

   this is inaccessable and really must be changed, regardless of how many people care about it

4. Proton Mail Desktop - Addition Jumplist (Windows 10/11)

   Many apps have a Jumplist that pops up when you right click the application on your taskbar. Is it possible to add a jumplist to the desktop client too?
   I suggest adding these buttons on the jumplist:
   Mark all as read
   Create new E-Mail
   add a new calendar entry
   shortcuts to Proton VPN and Calendar

5. Fix italian national holidays calendar

   the current "public holidays in Italy" ("giorni festivi in Italia") calendar contains dates that:

   they are not public holidays but commonly used:
   Festa del papà
   Festa della mamma
   Vigilia di Natale
   Vigilia di Capodanno

   They are not holidays and they are not of interest:
   Pentecoste Lunedì di Pentecoste

   It would be interesting to also have the change from solar to daylight saving time and vice versa

   One idea would be to separate national holidays from other holidays and have two distinct calendars

6. Add event to calendar by tapping (in App)

   I'm suprised I wasn't able to find an existing request for this, because being able to create an event by simply tapping on a certain time and then being able to adjust it's length by draging, is a feature I (and my partner) miss a lot coming from Google Calendar. (on iOS AND Android)

   So two requests:
   1. add an event with just one tap
   2. adjust the event while still being able to see my changes (idealy even with draging)

   Because this way I was able to see the event i was creating relative to the other events while adjusting, because the window that allows me to add title, length, etc didn't take up the whole screen, just the lower half.

7. Snoozed emails identification

   Snoozed emails can have some sort of an icon or something to show they are snoozed. Currently, when they appear in the inbox again, it looks like it's a new email and takes a while to realize it's a snoozed one.

8. Standalone Calendar subscription

   3 Calendars are not enough but I I have an existing Mail that I don't want to switch. An Cheap option only for the Calender Premium options would be nice. Or more Free Calendars. 4 would already help a lot, since holidays already count as one.

9. Make past-dates more visually evident on Calendar

   When viewing the month grid, the only indicator that a day is in the past is the absence of the “current‑day” blue circle and any past even that is slightly greyed out. All past days share the same background grid color as future days, so it takes a quick visual scan to locate today’s date and to distinguish past dates from upcoming ones.

   Would be nice to add a subtle background shading (e.g., a light gray overlay) to every day‑cell whose date is earlier than the current and future days. This would make past days instantly recognizable at a glance, reduce the cognitive load when locating today’s date and keep the UI clean—use a low‑contrast shade so existing event colors remain readable.

   Maybe this could be added under the Appareance setting, as every use may have a different preference, so they can select how past-days grid background should look, etc.

10. Remove DISPLAY NAME field from Contacts

    In Proton Contacts there is a NAME field and a DISPLAY NAME field per contact.
    And in Proton Settings there is another DISPLAY NAME field for your own address(es) (Besides: on top of that, this is APART from ACCOUNT NAME).
    This is confusing to me. I don't see the use of a DISPLAY NAME apart from NAME in my contact list.

    In my logic the application that is receiving an email should show the DISPLAY NAME that the sender has ENCLOSED in the email (for your own outgoing mail this is the DISPLAY NAME in Proton Settings).

    Proton adds new contacts automatically to Contacts with the DISPLAY NAME field filled with the email address.
    Proton has the two name fields in Contacts and if you don't fill these fields correctly this causes inconsistencies in various views on contacts while browsing, searching, adding a contact in a concept email etc. And the displayed 'sender name' in the inbox is sometimes not what you expect.

    It took me some time to discover what was going on. I hope that you can improve this setup to prevent confusion for users.....

13. Open dialog box option to edit event after importing an ics file

    When an ics event is imported into proton calendar it often requires adding notifications or making other edits. I propose that after importing an ics file a dialog box opens asking whether you want to edit the event. Choosing Yes would open that event for editing.

14. All Mail view should indicate folder containing item

    The "All Mail" view should indicate where the item is located in the folder structure.
    I recently received a 2FA code sent from a site. Typically this would go in the "Inbox", but it did not show. Found it in "All Mail", so I could use it but it would be nice to know where it went in the first place. It was not in Spam.

16. Hide emails in specific folders from showing in All Emails

    I use "All mail" all the time to view all the emails at once. But often see emails that isn't important there. So would love too be able to hide emails that are in specific folderes from showing up in "All mail". So basically just like the "Exclude Spam/Trash from All mail" setting, but just for custom folders.

    I would like to have an integrated mail / calendar app on iPhone, as Outlook does. This would prevent the requirement of having two separate but related apps, and simplifies manipulation.

18. calendar mail icons

    Inside the mail application, it would be nice to make the mail and calendar icons easily accessible. Right now, I need to click on the icon representing the different apps available (the little squares) and then I can click to choose either calendar or mail. It would be easier to be able to click directly on mail or calendar making those icons directly available.

19. Delegate Mail and Calendar viewer/editor accesses to a user(s) within your proton org.

    Thank you for reading this. If you guys want Financial, Legal and Medical service providers (notably) to embrace Proton, I strongly recommend you implement this request.

    A key missing feature is the ability to assign accesses to a user's inbox or calendar to another user (to avoid sharing credentials). In some regulated industry, this is necessary to properly execute compliance functions.

    Three delegation profiles would be necessary for this feature to be effective:

    1. Temporary: the ability for a user to delegate inbox/calendar accesses to another user for a specific amount of time (Holiday, Maternity, Illness),

    2. Enhanced: the ability for a user to delegate inbox/calendar accesses to another user for an indeterminate amount of time (Executive Assistants, Managers, long term leave of absence),

    3. Compliance: the ability for an organisation to automatically delegate inbox accesses for a determinate or indeterminate amount of time to specific individuals within an organisation (departed employee, third party audit, litigation hold, client privacy request)

    Key components by profile:

    • All: the ability to switch on or off this feature for an organisation as a whole

    • All: a separate toggle for the compliance profile option.

    • All: retains logs of these accesses

    • All: visual indicator that an inbox has delegation(s) active.

      • Temporary / Enhanced: Folders included/excluded could have a badge

    • Delegation recipient: within the inbox of someone receiving delegated emails either a clear indication that an email is a delegated email or a "tab" of sorts that "switches" to the delegated inbox and hosts everything in there.

    • Temporary / Enhanced: in-app notification to the user when a delegated user is currently viewing their inbox.

    • Temporary / Enhanced: the ability to send emails "From (colleague A) on behalf of (colleague B)" as a separately selectable option when implementing a delegation.

    • Temporary / Enhanced: the ability to temporarily suspend all delegations for a specific amount of time

    • Temporary / Enhanced: the ability to include/exclude certain email contacts from a delegation

    • Temporary / Enhanced: exclude or limit access to things like alias, tags and account settings

    • Temporary / Enhanced: the ability to have the delegation only work during specific hours or on specific days

    • Compliance: include current and past delegations in an accounts' activity logs

    • Compliance: ability to assign each user another user(s) as manager

    • Compliance: ability to assign to specific users membership to the compliance team

    • Compliance: grant access to a delegated account's inbox activity log as well as existing delegations.

    • Compliance: once a user leaves an organisation, grant full access to a user's inbox to their assigned manager(s) and the Chief Compliance Officer ("CCO") and/or Chief Privacy Officer ("CPO"). The CCO/CPO can delegate that access to subordinates or change the managers' accesses if necessary.

    • Compliance: a still-employed user should be able to restrict a compliance access to their inbox by excluding specific folders, email addresses or calendar categories. This is to preserve the privacy of other clients or projects.

    • Compliance: Compliance should still see and find in search the email titles, folders, addresses and attachment names / document types of excluded content by a still-employed employee, but not see the actual contents of the email.

    • Compliance: The CCO/CPO should have the ability to override the confidentiality exclusions of an employee subject to a mandatory compliance delegation if they deem necessary.

    • Compliance: deactivate permanent erasure of deleted emails for accounts with active compliance delegations.

    • Compliance: When an organisation has activated the compliance feature, extend for everyone the delete folder's retention time to 1 year.

    • Compliance: All compliance activities, including temporary delegations, assignments, override, etc. should be logged.

    • Compliance: After X amount of years, an org's CCO/CPO should have the ability to permanently delete a preserved inbox.

    That's it! I understand that this might take a while to implement, but professional services firms are truly the perfect niche of business clients for your product suite: typically lower headcounts, obsessed with privacy and at high risk from cyberthreats.

    Next thing on the docket for this client group would be better calendars (further integration with mail and contacts, better attachment management, more regional calendars, better notifications, better collaboration) , more quality of life features for Proton Mail (OoO messages, better signatures, better contact management, etc.) big improvements to Proton Drive (compliance, document structure, collaboration, File explorer integration of shared folders, etc.). I also think you guys need a dedicated contact management platform.

20. Swiping right could open the left menu [Android App]

    For fluidity, I would love to be able to open the left menu by swiping right. Currently, when I set the swipe right option to None I cannot open the left menu.

    There should be an option or the behavior of None could be to open the left menu.
    That would be awesome.
