Improve addressing with extension character; allow hyphen (-); use correct sender address.
Add the use of a hyphen (-) as the extension character, in addition to plus (+). Reasoning is below.
When a message arrives for example-bob@protonmail.com, replies sent by the recipient should automatically show example-bob@protonmail.com as both the header sender and the envelope sender. The reason should be obvious.
Why hyphen (-) in addition to plus (+). The use of plus (+) tells people that you are using an extension, while the use of hyphen (-) makes the address look like an ordinary address.
Many buggy websites reject email addresses that contain a plus.
For additional reasoning see the original…

Lock desktop app
It would be interesting to be able to lock the Proton Mail Windows application with a security code like the Proton Pass application, both manually and after a certain time, so that you do not have to constantly log out and log in

Allow special characters in local-part for custom domain email addresses
when trying to set the local-part for my custom domain email address to "~"
I get this error message:"Only alphanumerics, periods, hyphens, and underscores are allowed in the local part of the email address, and it must begin and end with alphanumerics." all I can say is why?
"it must begin and end with alphanumerics."
this is so arbitrary! it's an email address' local-part not a username..for many years, I have always used ~@myna.me as my email address, before and after I self-hosted my email, I use it for all of my online accounts and and all of…

Agenda list view
The web calendar has a "Day", "Week" and "Month" view selection. I suggest adding an "Agenda" view as in Google Calendar. This simply is a list view of coming events.
Why? To present a more compact view of future events.

Support for ISO 8601 date formats (YYYY-MM-DD)
- have an option to display dates in a sane, superior, internationally standardized format...
- allow users to enter dates like "2024-05-08" when creating an event, instead of having to type "May 08, 2024" which is an annoying hindrance.
- bonus points if you let me paste "2024-05-08T14:45" and it update the time field too.

Duplicate event
Would be nice to have an option to duplicate an existing event with small changes.
Use case: irregularly recurring events that need to be scheduled one at a time(e.g. barber, massage, dentist visits)416 votesDuplicating an event is possible from the web app. Coming soon to other platforms.

Stand alone contacts
I would like to have Proton Contacts as my default on our Android phones. I need to open Google contacts to make a call unless I port all my Proton contacts to Google. I'm don't wish to give Google my entire contacts list.

To Do List Section / To Do Item List Under Events
I feel each calendar entry should have a "to-do" option underneath the "description option". For example, if I had "Shopping" from 4-5:30pm, I could create a checklist of food and goods that I need. Or, if I was developing a website from 6pm to 8pm, I could mark down "Fix CSS bug, begin "About Us" page, begin to make site more responsive, deploy VPS" etc.
Or, if I created an all day event that occurs every day, I could use the to-do to mark off habits, kindof like a Notion productivity tracker. I.e. on the all day event, "Check email,…

Proton Duo with shared email inbox
It would be nice if the members of a Duo had a shared email address and inbox. Most couples need at times to communicate jointly together as a couple, either socially or for household business.
It would be even better if a Duo also included a full joint account with all features so that there is equality in the way information is shared and used.

Remind me if no reply
I frequently send emails where I need to follow up at a later time. An example might be boarding passes for a flight, or a thread that will be relevant when I meet a particular contact on a certain day.
Boomerang for Gmail does this well. I can schedule an email to return to my inbox at a given time. But what really makes this useful is that I can define a condition in some cases. "If plumber does not respond within two weeks, THEN return this email to my inbox" or better yet "If plumber does not respond within…

Smart Watch support (wearOS Apple Watch)
Since users of samsung/apple/other watches is increasing. I believe it is important to start to support Proton Calendar on it. As it saved users time with watches. Specifically the inclusion of a Tile so that we can see our day's agenda.

Android parity to iOS app
Hello!
Please speed up the development of your android application. Your iOS app has features that are not in the Android app. It just seems like a shame. Could you please speed up adding anti-tracking features (tracker blocking and picture uploads with IP hiding) to the android app as well? It would also be desirable to add the toolbar customization feature as well. Please note that all these features are already available in iOS application, while there are practically no innovations in Android application. This is just a shame and shame for such a huge company.
