Set a default address/alias per contact.
How about we could set a default address/alias per contact if we have multiple addresses/aliases.
Isn't it great protonmail webapp could change sender address according to receiver automatically so friends could get mails from a personal address/alias and business partners could get mails from a business address/alias always?11 votes -

Separate Contact List
I would like to have the ability to creat a separate contact list. One personal and one business. That way people can switch between list and not have to sort through personal and business. Maybe make groups an actual list of contacts not just email group.

Sort by date of deletion
If you delete an older email from inbox accidently it's hard to find it in trash again. So it would really help to sort the trash by date of deletion.

Remote sieve management; ManageSieve (RFC 5804)
Currently the only way to manage sieve filters is through the web interface. This means you are limited by how responsive the web app is, and using raw text-based sieve filters are extra clicks away.
There are many tools for managing sieve filters on remote servers using RFC 5804, in email clients such as Thunderbird to plain old Emacs to any other tool built on this common protocol.

Increase width of scroll bar to 10px at least
I see in beta you have made the vertical scroll bar too thin that it takes effort to catch it, I hope the design aesthetics won't be disturbed if you make it at least 10px.

Optionally hide spam email count badge
Hi!
I would really love the option to hide the count badge from the spam email folder. I frequently mistake it for another folder that I actually care about, and click on it.
With the count badge hidden, the spam folder would be less distracting.

Protonmail / pm.me alias for multi-user
The Visionary plan offers multi-user support. However, for sub-users (not primary account user), any user alias is based on a custom domain only and not pm.me / protonmail is not available.
However, the primary account user can choose to create an alias for a custom domain, pm.me or protonmail.
That flexibility should be extended to the sub-users to provide the same anonymity options for sub-users, i.e., children or primary account owner.10 votes -

I am looking to send emails from my monitoring service using the domain I have set up on ProtonMail. It would be easier/more secure to have email for my domain sent through ProtonMail's servers. I am not looking for a high volume of email, just a handful of nightly status emails (~5-10). Reading pane on iPad
The ability to add a reading pane in the iPad app to see the email list and current email side by side, like on browser.
I use protonmail.com more then the protonmail app on my iPad because in the browser it allows to view the reading pane, where on the app you can only view either the email list or the current email

More levels for the folder tree
Currently, there is a maximum of 3 levels in the folder tree.
I do not know if the expansion of the tree represent technical difficulties or not.
Yet, it would really be helpful to set the limit to 5 maximum.

Persistent sidebar for iPad/tablet in landscape mode
Hi, I'd like to see a settings toggle to allow the sidebar to be permanently visible on my iPad (and other tablets) in landscape mode. For me this would allow quicker navigation around the app and my folders, currently there's an awful lot of tapping and swiping that could be cut down on.

Allow unicode in e-mail addresses.
E-mail addresses can contain Unicode characters according to RFC 6530 and other RFCs. Please, allow such addresses in ProtonMail.
