  1. Integration of Share Button for Apple directly to the mail app (MacOS)

Would be nice if you can share Mails or Content out of Protonmail to other Apps for example Notes or other Apps.

  2. Preview email messages without opening them, in case of spam or fraud.

Basic services should allow members of proton mail to preview the messages of receivers and senders so they don't open any false links or images. It would help immensely in detecting spam, fraud and phishing attempts. We should have this feature free in basic services and not required to purchase, as outlook and gmail have it. Proton mail is more encrypted, which makes adding previews a more popular choice of email usage.

  3. Add multiple ways to sort emails.

I originally wanted to ask that we be able to sort our Inbox by tag/label. I did see that idea, but also saw requests to sort by star/no star and sender. So I wanted to combine these into a single improvement - to be able to sort the inbox by any column. Being able to do this, helps improve productivity. I would like to be able to see the emails I consider most important to follow up at the top, for example. It can also be valuable to see all the emails from a particular sender or under a specific…

  4. Possible to "find" (ctrl+F) from Linux app

Currently, the Proton Mail app (beta) for Linux does not have text search (CTRL+F) for finding text within an open email or in the view currenty opened. It would be enormously helpful to have inline text search to quickly find specific text in an email, and without it, the app is hard to use for day-to-day needs.

This is different from the search bar at the top that searches email subject lines, header info, etc.

  8. Allow auto forwarding emails to other emails (other proton emails and external emails like gmail and outlook too) for free

    Hey,
Loving proton mail so far however a big deal breaker for me and many others like me is the fact that auto-forwarding feature is locked up for free users. It seems like a basic bare minimum feature that almost every email service provider worth mentioning has. As a student and soon to be a working professional I absolutely need to have multiple email addresses logged in and in active use from varying companies like google and microsoft workspaces. I understand that proton needs to earn money to survive too and I am fully supportive of the fact that if…

  9. Official IMAP/POP3 support w/o proton bridge

Hi all, I would like to make it, so proton makes an open IMAP/POP3 service. I don't want proton bridge for 2 reasons. 1. only on laptop (I want it on my phone) 2. paid. :(

Migrating from Exchange to Office 365 can offer numerous advantages but also involves some costs.

  12. Optional message body previews in mobile app notifications

I understand Proton is likely doing PGP-style email encryption where the sender and subject are in plaintext, only encrypting the body. So I imagine that's why mobile app notifications only display the sender and the subject for messages, and not a snippet of the message body as many other email apps do.

I would be willing to sacrifice a bit of security if the mobile app could decrypt the message body when generating the notification and show me a quick preview without having to open the message. This would probably help me switch away from Gmail entirely.

    Opt-in obviously as…

Possibility to move the categories in the Proton Mail Client - for example above the folders to keep a better eye on them without having to scroll all the way down.

  14. Organization Filters - Top-level Domain

Currently, we have implemented spam, block, and allow lists to filter registered domains. However, we are unable to add top-level domains to these lists. As a cybersecurity professional, I am fully aware of the importance of preventing phishing attacks and recognize that numerous top-level domains are commonly exploited for malicious purposes.

Cloudflare published a comprehensive article on this topic earlier this year.
    https://blog.cloudflare.com/top-level-domains-email-phishing-threats/

My proposal suggests that we also permit only the top-level domain (TLD) to be added to spam, block, and allow lists.

  17. Access a specific contact from Contact Group list

When you have a contact group open, we currently have the ability to compose an email or copy the email of any contacts within the group. It would be nice to be able to click on a specific contact from this same spot to be able to view their address, phone number, etc. right from the group list.

  19. fix terrible filtered folder refresh button moving UI

it's like the refresh button is trying to run away from you.
there's a little refresh circle icon on the sidebar for folders which are built from a filter.
if you move your mouse to click it, it moves left and that spot is replaced by the three dots which is a menu to delete edit/delete.

  20. adding alerts on new, unreviewed, Third-Party Scripts appearing on site and knowing it's behavioural funcionalily

Many new regulations like PCI DSS V4.0 will be requiring these sort of controls and transparency into Third-party scripts activity. I personally think that a smart VPN is the perfect catalyst launch for what would essentially be a Browser Firewall. If you're interested, You can touch base with ma at maggie@otto-js.com If you want to check me out first You can Google Maggie Louie on find me on linkedin though that;s far less interesting. :)
