Swipe left to delete on iOS
It would be nice to be able to swipe left on the iPhone app to delete an email without having to go into the email to do it. At the moment, swiping left only allows you to archive the email, if a second option could be added when swiping left to also delete, that would be greatly appreciated.

Automatically create filter based on selected email
It would be very helpful if there was an option from within the mail app where users could select a particular email and create a filter for it from there, creating the folder, defining the rule, and then running on existing mail. When creating from an email, the filter option could automatically generate some rules, like from the sender of the email you are filtering.
When I am going through my inbox and I see a particular sender is sending more mail than I prefer or it is starting to add up, it would be nice to just do it…

When creating a new folder rule, view emails before moving
I would like to be able to move emails from the inbox to a folder. When a rule is made for a sender to be marked with a folder, it goes directly there and I don't see it. I would like to see it first and then clear it out of the inbox. Like gmail does. :|

Reorder folders
It would be good to be able to rearrange folders in any position.
For example i can make a folder called amazon for all amazon emails and have it positioned under the inbox, while also move all mail to the top of list above inbox and have the ability to hide the folder if i dont want to see it.

Customize line spacing
The line spacing often gets out of control. This causes me to switch to Plain Text just to fix it up, then back to Formatted before sending. Which is a bit silly.

Display email options at top of screen on iPadOS
I use an iPad which was designed to use the touch screen for typing in all kinds of positions. I feel the buttons on the bottom of the Proton mail inbox and the composition page are a hazard. For filing emails sometimes a button is touched by mistake. The email suddenly disappears and you have to waste time hunting for it in your myriad of folders. If possible move those controls to the top of the page where they are safer. I believe filing will then be more efficient with less misfilings.

Increase contact group limits
To use Proton Mail for business, limiting contact groups to 100 addresses should not be necessary. Certainly a workaround would be to split contact groups into smaller pieces -- but if this results in the same number of addressees, why make a user have to do this? Doesn't seem to be logical.

Conversation view limited to conversations
I would great if conversations could be limited to threads where a reply actually happened. E.g. I have a servers that send daily reports. Never a reply. The result is a conversation thread with dozens of emails linked which makes the view difficult.

Add Archive button to navigation bar on Android
The notifications in Android provide both "Trash" and "Archive" buttons, which is great; however, when I have an individual Protonmail message open in the app, there is only a delete (trash can) button. To archive, I have to click through multiple buttons: Move to>Archive>Done. This is cumbersome and unnecessary; there is room to add an archive button next to the trash can icon in the navigation bar.

Use proton.ch domain
Some users want to use a domain that is under Swiss jurisdiction. This is why Proton lets us end our addresses with protonmail.ch.
However, that domain is quite long. This is why Proton added pm.me as an alias and then added proton.me as an optional ending.
The .me domain is under the jurisdiction of Montenegro, who is a member of NATO and is joining the European Union.
Proton owns the proton.ch domain. Please let us end our email addresses with proton.ch instead of proton.me.

Synchronise unread email notifications across all devices
I find it both distracting and extremely annoying that when I read mail on one device, my other devices are still telling me I have unread mail.
This forces me to have to open every device to force a sync of unread notifications

Multiple forwarding rules or conditions to one address
Right now, I have a forwarding rule set up for one type of email to be forwarded to my wife. I would like to set up an additional rule to forward some other emails to her, but ProtonMail only allows me to have one rule set up for forwarding.

New field to store passwords for protected emails
PROBLEM:
When sending “Encrypted Emails to Non-Proton Recipients” … it is cumbersome to have to “manually manage” the “Shared Secrets / Passwords” for each recipient … in particular if you are communicating with multiple recipients repeatedly.FEATURE REQUEST:
Add an additional field in “ProtonPass” for documenting email recipients and their shared secret for encrypted communications within ProtonMail. You could integrate ProtonPass with ProtonMail such that it detects that you are sending an encrypted email to a Non-ProtonMail recipient … and prompts you to save the recipient and the shared secret in ProtonPass for future subsequent communications with the same recipient.…1 vote
