  1. Synchronise unread email notifications across all devices

I find it both distracting and extremely annoying that when I read mail on one device, my other devices are still telling me I have unread mail.

This forces me to have to open every device to force a sync of unread notifications

  3. Display dates on attachments

Put dates on attachments so that I can more easily tell if the attachment is a new or old one in a string of emails

  4. Multiple forwarding rules or conditions to one address

Right now, I have a forwarding rule set up for one type of email to be forwarded to my wife. I would like to set up an additional rule to forward some other emails to her, but ProtonMail only allows me to have one rule set up for forwarding.

  5. New field to store passwords for protected emails

    PROBLEM:
When sending “Encrypted Emails to Non-Proton Recipients” … it is cumbersome to have to “manually manage” the “Shared Secrets / Passwords” for each recipient … in particular if you are communicating with multiple recipients repeatedly.

    FEATURE REQUEST:
Add an additional field in “ProtonPass” for documenting email recipients and their shared secret for encrypted communications within ProtonMail. You could integrate ProtonPass with ProtonMail such that it detects that you are sending an encrypted email to a Non-ProtonMail recipient … and prompts you to save the recipient and the shared secret in ProtonPass for future subsequent communications with the same recipient.…

  6. Customizable interface

It would be nice to be able to create new email categories (e.g., in the Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Spam, etc.) while being able to delete ones that I don't use.

Also, since I label my folders, I need to be able to extend the area (move the divider line between the List/Label side and the Inbox/Compose section). I don't have enough room to read my labels or see if emails are sitting in those labeled categories. Most email providers allow the user to slide and adjust the sizes of the interface boxes and areas.

    Thank you.

  7. Using physical security keys

You sent me an email this morning about passkeys. Well, what about physical security keys? I bought two of them last week from Amazon. I got them to work with iCloud. I'd like them to work with Proton Mail, too.
    Thanks.

  8. Please Capitalize Subject Line for Proton Calendar Email Notifications

Currently whenever I receive an email notification for a Proton Calendar event, the subject line reads as "Reminder: event starting at 7:00 AM...". I believe that it would look more professional if the elements within the subject field were properly capitalized, specifically the phrase "event starting".

    Thank you

  9. Schedule view in sidebar

Adding the schedule view so we can access more information without the need to open the calendar in a different tab/window. Kinda like the google calendar's view in the android app.

  10. Leveraging ProtonPass & Signal to Facilitate Non-ProtonMail Recipients Password Management

  11. Omit trashed messages from thread count

Currently messages with the same subject are grouped into a single conversation thread with the subject prefixed with the thread's message count. This is great, except it includes trashed messages... i.e.:

[17] Your Card may not have been present for a purchase

I regularly trash messages like these after reviewing them... The next day I might have made only 2 purchases, so 17 is alarming.

Please omit trashed messages from this count. I'm sure nobody thinks they are relevant.

  12. Change zoom in desktop app

In the browser for Proton Mail I prefer to use a 90% view size to see everything better, as well as in Proton Calendar, where I use e.g. a 70% view to see more events and more text that would otherwise be hidden.

  13. A spellchecker that allows you to select a language per recipient

As I am writing regularly to different recipients in different languages, it would be helpful if I could allocate a spellchecker specifically, so that it is chosen automatically as soon as I select the recipient's address.

  14. Mute Notifications in Linux desktop app

The notifications are nice for plenty I'm sure, but I just find them distracting and irritating. it would be nice to be able to turn these off.

  15. Stop update window from blocking app

When a new Proton Mail version is available (on macOS), an alert box asking for an upgrade pops and request the focus (indeed it pops over any app).

This is far from good practice, please prevent this, you can find a less imperative way to alert the user.

Also, while I was looking to prevent this, I searched to block auto update and that option is not available either (but this is not my main request)

    Thank you

  16. Option to hide menubar in Linux app

I would like a hide menubar option, ideally bound to a hotkey, as I do not have much use for the menu bar.

    Thanks again for this app!

  17. Switch accounts in Linux desktop app

The linux desktop app cannot be easily re-launched independently, nor can I use multiple accounts with it; this makes it harder for me to use. Please either make it so that invocations of the application launch new instances, with configuration handled appropriately, or that individual accounts can be launched in e.g. tabs.

I really like where this app is going, thank you for making it.

  18. New icon for dark mode

I think it should be purple on the outside and white on the inside so it doesn't look weird when you are using dark mode. Also, this should be the same for all the proton apps, so it looks consistent.

  19. Group mail in inbox view by label

I would love to have an option to group mail by label on my inbox dashboard. A bullet pointed list of the feature I have in mind:
    - The feature does not have to be available on mobile and could be a web exclusive (as is the case with Google Mail)
    - The feature can be toggled on/off on the settings tab, next to density and layout
    - Each label would be turned into a separate list of mail items
    - If an email has multiple labels, the email would appear in both label's list
    - All unlabeled items would…
