    Dear Proton Team,

    I recently received an alert from the ProtonPass app that my main @protonmail.com address had leaked on the dark web— I also doublechecked this via “Have I Been Pwned” and other services. It's great that ProtonPass is catching these breaches, and notifying us as users so that we can mitigate this. But it’s also frustrating because I went to great lengths to keep my address private.

    Ultimately, I am aware that strong cybersecurity measures (strong password, OTP/hardware 2FA key, Proton's proprietary security measures, Sentinel) are what protects the account security when 'push comes to shove'.

    When you hold an email you cannot scroll down your folders. I would really be appreacited to be able to scroll down folders while holding email.

  4. SimpleLogin more Informations for Contacs

    I really like SimpleLogin but is there a way to see a bit more information in the contacts, otherwise it is very cumbersome.
    It would be even better if you could see the aliases there, a separate section and what you use them for, information, etc.

    Allow search to

    • Select multiple "search in" options (search in all selected folders)
    • Filter by state (eg, only show unread and/or starred emails)

    Allow saving a specific search, eg. "starred mail from folder X" accessible in the sidebar.

    Special pseudo-folder to show important emails, aka:
    * Unread emails
    * Starred emails
    all in one place.

    Optionally customizable to include recent draft and sent emails.

    Alternatively: allow users to save searches so they can create such a pseudo-folder themselves.

  8. Auto-correct spellcheck in message composition

    Apple and Gmail both have seamless and intuitive auto-correct spellcheck. Proton simply highlights misspelled word but does not correct or even offer correction options.

  9. Apply filter rules after marking email as NOT Spam

    When I mark an email as NOT spam it ends up in my Inbox but often those would have been put into some other folder if they weren't marked as spam. I would love it if marking something "not spam" would put it where I expected it to go in the first place

  11. Read later this evening

    I usually postpone (read later) emails to the evening, when I'm home and I have time to do it. Unfortunatelly read later's preset stards from "Tomorrow". I think a "This evening" option would be much appreciated. A way to personalize postpone's preset would be also appreciated.

    Have the ability to send an email from a hide-my-email alias, I know you can reply using the alias but would like the ability to select it from a drop down menu (from the from section).

  13. Export option for group of contacts

    It is possible to manually select some or all contacts and export them.

    However, with 10.000 contacts this tends to be buggy (hangs forever) and quite a large export.

    When there are groups, a smaller section could be exported. There is currently however no functionality for this.

    In my opinion that should not be too complex and would provide a workaround for a number of bugs.

  14. Drop the "this conversation contains trashed messages" message as it makes no sense

    Recently joined Proton and I don't understand why I'm being prevented from viewing some new emails and getting this message for emails that I haven't even read yet! Plus I have to click things in order to view the message! Right now there's nothing in my trash, so what gives? Please scrap this message and this behaviour. Thanks.

  15. Desktop Notification Consolidation & Push Time

    With regards to desktop notifications:

    Add a time element to set how long between notification pushes. Rather than when each new email arrives, you could set to be notified every 10 minutes.

    Add an option to consolidate notifications. So instead of a single notification banner per email, you'd see a single notification popup listing all new email, one per line, with the sender's name and maybe the first 40 characters of the subject.

  17. Visualize location of mail found through search

    When a mail is searched through the search bar, the results appears as a list below the search bar.

    For instance, when I search for "request review" I can find an email.

    Then I select the email I was looking for.

    It appears on the right side with mail details.

    However, I seem incapable to determine in WHAT folder the email is actually located. I have to search manually for the same mail folder-by-folder to find it's actual location.

    Also, for some reason "move to inbox" is not working for a searched email.

  19. Support journaling for archiving it, such as with FINRA

    As a member of FINRA all my emails need to be archiving by an external source, such as ZIX.

    This is called Journaling. Thus far I have not be able to set this up, even with Proton's tech support.

    Proton does support email forwarding, but that is not the same.

    I am asking to add a proper Journaling feature.

  20. List total Number of emails in a folder (like the option in outlook)

    Problem:
    I use a Mail sorting system based on "Actionability" of the mail
    I often forget that there's still something in my "waiting for" or "Action" folder.

    Solution:
    I'd like to have the option to show all elements in a Folder, like it does when elements are unread. (Showing both seperately would be even better!)
