Keep deleted events in a folder for 30 days to allow recovery in Calendar
I accidentally deleted an event and would like to recover it. If deleted events are stored in a separate "Deleted Events" calendar for 30 days, then I could recover the event (or at least view its details to accurately recreate it).

Hide search keywords from address bar for privacy
When a user performs a search in Proton Mail the keywords appear in the address bar, this means the ISP has a log of all the keywords used when searching which is a potential privacy breach. Given that Proton Mail is privacy centered wouldn't it make more sense for the keywords to be posted over SSL using the POST method rather than including them in the address?

Added a simple option to make emails unreadable by AI
I heard about a great tool on GitHub that simply makes text unreadable by AI: gibberify by Will Patti (wdpatti).
The tool is available at this address: https://github.com/GeneploreAI/gibberifier
I think it would be great to integrate this into Proton Mail so that text can be made unreadable with a single click.4 votes -
iOS shortcut for sending an email
It should be possible to automate proton email sending via iOS shortcuts app in the same way as it works for the Apple Mail app.
Example workflow:
1. Select Files — lets the user pick one or more files.
2. Send Email — prefilled like:
• Body text: “Hello, here’re my attachments:” and then an embedded File token (the file(s) selected above).
• Fields in the action header: with Subject and to Recipients (both are parameter “chips”).
• Extra fields shown:
• From: (optional)
• Cc: (email addresses)
• Bcc: (email addresses)
• A toggle: Show Compose Sheet (checked), meaning…2 votes -
Change behavior of check all box when some emails are already selected
When some emails are already selected, the current behavior of the check all box is to check all on the first click, and uncheck all on the second click. This is the opposite of the behavior in other email apps such as Gmail. If you already have some boxes checked, it's more likely that you've just finished whatever action you were taking and just need to deselect them all again, so the first click should uncheck all the boxes, and then a second click would check all the boxes. Or at least that's my opinion. If this ends up being…

slovak app android
Good day. When will the Slovak language be added to the Android proton calendar application. The Slovak translation is in Crowdin. It is enough for the beta version. Thank you.

Allow window to be resized on iPad
Currently the window of the calendar app cannot be resized on the iPad (unlike other apps, including other Proton apps), the window is a fixed size. Ideally, the app should be able to be resized so that user's can make use of the multitasking features on the iPad.

Let us set email expiry through fitlers without converting to sieve
I would like to use the filter UI to set an expiry time for emails. This would be equivalent to setting something like this in a sieve: expire "day" "7";
While this is already possible with sieves, sieves are complicated, and once you begin using a feature that is only available through sieves, you can only edit it as a sieve. The UI is much more intuitive and I'd love to see this feature exposed through the UI.

Proton Calendar integration for Home Assistant
I would like a home assistant integration for proton calendar so that I can have my calendar be an input source to trigger automations. I think it would need to be an app inside of home assistant that you sign into with your proton account though because I don't want to have to make all of my calendars publicly subscribable. Home assistant is run locally on your own hardware, not the cloud, so I don't see why this would be a big security concern as long as you keep your home assistant server secure. home assistant would need to be…

Mail: Make shortcuts already available when hovering with the mouse over emails in the list
The shortcuts in mail are great, but you have to click on an email to open it and then the shortcuts are available.
It would be great if hovering with the mouse over an email in the list already enables the shortcut functionality, so you can easily go through the list and just press "t" (=Trash) to delete the mail without even opening it - or "f" to forward it.Huge time saver
You already check the hover state in the mail list, because icons appear and disappear when you hover over a mail.
Just use this hover state to…3 votes -
Can you copy hey.com mail and calendar?
I've been with Proton since the early days but after seeing hey.com, for the first time I'm tempted to switch.
Both e-mail and calendar UX look awesome. That is, I wish I had every single feature they demo on the homepage (video).
Has Hey caught your attention too? Can you see the Proton's web-mail adopting those features? Or is it something that could be built as a generic IMAP client, hence as a client of Proton Bridge?

Feature Request – More Flexible Calendar Views & Year Overview
Dear Proton Team,
I’m writing to suggest an enhancement that would make the calendar experience even more enjoyable for users like me. It would be great if the interface allowed more flexible view options (e.g., customizable week ranges, adjustable column widths, and easy toggling between compact and expanded layouts).
Additionally, adding a dedicated “Year” view—showing all twelve months at once—would help users get a quick, high‑level perspective of their schedules and plan ahead more efficiently.
These improvements would boost productivity, reduce the need to switch between multiple tools, and align Proton Calendar with the flexibility offered by many competing calendar…

push
Auto-dismiss push notifications when email is read on another device
Currently, when I receive a push notification on my iOS device about a new email, the notification remains visible even after I've opened and read that email on another device (such as my laptop or desktop). This creates notification clutter and doesn't reflect the actual state of my inbox.
Proposed Feature:
Implement cross-device notification synchronization so that push notifications are automatically dismissed on iOS when the corresponding email is read on any other logged-in device.Use Case:
Receive email notification on iPhone
Open and read the email on laptop/desktop

Contact: We write Family name followed by given name, so please add ability to change order
I'm dissatisfied with the Contact feature's default display order, which shows given names before family names. In my cultural context, the standard notation is to write family names followed by given names, so the current requirement to place names after family names makes the interface extremely unusable.
Please allow users to choose between both the "given name-surname" and "surname-given name" formats.
As a Japanese person, I suspect this would be equally true for Chinese and Korean users as well.3 votes
