Visual notification of a recipient's first e-mail to combat spam and phishing
Spam and phishing often use a new e-mail address. Emails sent the first time are therefore more risky. Coloring new senders in red or orange encourages us to pay attention to where the message is coming from and whether it's a fraudulent one.

Improved Browser Bookmarks - Implement Frontend Account Selection by URL
Currently, to bookmark a specific account in a Proton service, you need to sign in, add the page, and never sign out.
It's moderately cumbersome due to the link matching the local user identifier (
localID), not a Proton Account name.For example, my Proton Mail link currently looks like this:

easy switch
Easy switch, tried hate it! i like to have everything organised, in separate folders, so please is it possible when using easy switch to have option Create folder for this account and then all emails will show in this folder and subfolders not in general inbox? PLEASE!!!

Desktop app -- shows the folder where an email is located
When clicking on an email in the desktop app, it would show the name of the folder where the email is located.

Separate NEW Login Account Selection By Number of Logins
The NEW login forcing users with only one account to go through an Extra screen is painfull. If the Adding of an Account is moved ulse where then the screen is no longer needed with people with only one login. I'm assuming Proton Mail Knows the number of Logins based on the fact the the autologin feature existed, which is no longer an autologin as you need to click through the New Screen.

Better "Spam, block, and allow lists"
The current UI/UX for the "Spam, block, and allow lists" make it very difficult to manage them as the lists grow over time. We urgently need a more streamlined and easier way to manage those lists.
For instance, my Spam list is currently 32 pages long, while my Block and Allow lists are 6 and 12 pages long, respectively, with multiple email addresses on the Spam list already covered, on a domain level, on the Block list.

Huge improvements needed in Mail contacts
For years I have run my business depending hugely on a good contact manager. Since privacy became number one for me four years ago I have relied in recent years on proton for contacts.
However, since on my android phone, a primary device, there is no ability to do a simple search for a name, either first or surname. This renders contacts fairly useless. 2 years ago I suggested that such improvements could be made to make contacts a useful tool. Little has been done.1 vote -
Recycle emails
I currently use HEY Email and they have a great feature where you can, per sender email, customize if emails from them should automatically be deleted after 30/90/730 days.
This is an amazing feature that keeps the mailbox cleaner and allows you to automatically remove emails from senders you don't want to keep forever, like newsletters or other.
Would love to see this in Proton!

The "save" link at the top of the screen is less prominent than the bright "Delete Folder" CTA at the bottom.On selecting the "Delete Folder" button the folder was deleted without an "are you sure" screen.
Suggestion(s) Make the update button more prominent and add an "are you sure" screen to the delete button

Make App Accessiblitly Features Work
The Mail App accessibility settings to do not appear to work on Linux, Debian: (a) the window does not fit on the screen and cannot be reduced; (b) font size settings (very large) and scroll bars are lost when switching to Inbox.

Dopo aver importato sia i contatti che le mail da gmail a proton, ogni mail che mi arriva in gmail mi viene anche dirottata sulla mail di proton.
E' possibile bloccare questa funzione? Io non ho trovato la funzione.Grazie

After importing both contacts and mails from gmail to proton, every mail I get in gmail is also diverted to proton mail.
Is it possible to block this feature? I have not found the function.Thank you

desktop app calendar tab update to today
When on the desktop app with the mail open and the calendar on the right sidebar, if you select today and leave the app open for more than a day, the day shown does not update to the current date automatically and instead shows the previous day when you clicked 'today'.

Small search bar for folders
I have a lot of folders and it's super annoying to find the right one - it's currently possible to search for the right folder when I want to sort an email, but not to find it back on the sidebar.

Ability to create a quick rule in the menu when clicking on an email address
When I click on an email address when viewing an email, I get options. I'd like for some of them to be quick rules, like "add tag", "move to folder", "mark as read", etc.

Permanently delete emails with one button
I dare to start a new 'Idea' entry for an old one. Please check in your open tasks this user's requirement "'Delete Permanently' button in the taskbar ".
