  1. draft alerts

It would be immensely helpful for there to be reminders about unfinished draft emails, or at the very least have a Quantity display about how many draft emails there are. I often encounter the problem where my emails don't send and then get saved to drafts and disappear from my awareness.

  2. Select multiple items with shift and control

I can't believe I'm having to request this but why can't I select multiple emails with control, or multiple in a sequence with shift? This is a very basic shortcut that exists in every email client I've ever used, and is also standard in file browsing, spreadsheets, anything where selecting multiple things is an option. This is honestly a breaking feature for me, I cannot manage my inbox efficiently without it

  3. Offline-First, Password-Unlocked Access for Browser Extension

I made the switch from BitWarden to ProtonPass a couple of months ago. The user experience is fantastic, but several facts are absolute dealbreakers, and I must make the switch back to BitWarden:

    1. To use the browser lock feature (absolutely critical, in my opinion), an internet connection is required to validate my 6-digit code. Thus, my locally-stored, encrypted passwords are totally inaccessible to me without an internet connection. Many of my stored passwords are for locally-hosted devices that I need access to when the internet is down (I live in a rural area, and the internet goes down sometimes). This…

  5. Remove temporary alias limit "Too many aliases created recently"

I'm transitioning from 1Password and iCloud+... There are a lot of limitations with ProtonPass, but the biggest one is encountering an error message that reads "Too many aliases created recently" when changing iCloud aliases to Proton ones.
The goal would be to lift this conditional and allow as many aliases whenever.

  6. App updates should not require a download

I'm using the Linux app, and whenever there's an update to Proton Mail, I need to visit the website, log in, download a package file, run it to execute the update, and then delete the file (or it just takes up space).

I'm not sure how it works in other operating systems, but all of those steps are annoying and unnecessary (and make it very likely that users won't install updates promptly). Proton mail is installed with apt (the standard Linux software-management program); it should update through apt as well, so updates happen as part of the regular process and…

  7. Gmail Selection Mechanic of Mail

Under the Inbox header, where all of your emails are located, I would like to be able to move up and down on my arrow keys and automatically display the email content over on the biggest pane. Currently, you are able to move up and down with the arrow keys over your mail but only hover over the little preview of it. In order to display it over on the biggest pane, one has to actually click or select on it which could be simplified by just defaulting to showing the selected preview's mail content on the biggest pane when…

  8. Remove Sentry

All or most Proton apps bundle Sentry. This is allegedly for crash reporting only, but Sentry can do way more than that (e.g. profiling for performance, seeing how users navigate the UI and where they get stuck). I would like to see Sentry removed.

Proton's entire business is staked on privacy. However, telemetry software like Sentry is fundamentally incompatible with user privacy. As a user, it is not feasible to thoroughly vet what every tracker is actually collecting, especially because this can change at any time. The best way to reliably avoid unwanted data collection is to exclusively use apps…

  9. Email translator

It would be extremely important for Proton Mail to have a simultaneous translator to translate emails and, if possible, with integrated AI.

  10. Notification configuration per device

Currently we can adjust notifications per folder. That applies though to each device using this proton mail account. It would be nice to be able to configure notifications on device. This way, I can receive critical notifications in my main smartphone (like security things) and receive work related mails on my work smartphone. Same account, different behaviour.

Summarizing, I would like to have the hability to silence folders locally, not globally.

    Thanks in advamce!

  11. Please include a 2 line preview for emails.

  13. Increase visible emails per page from 50 to +100

If I want to delete many emails from a given sender, it seems that I must do it by loading 50 at a time and then mass-deleting them. Then I have to load the next 50, etc. Is there a way to view/delete more per iteration?

  14. Shorten 'Message sent' notification in Android app

The dialog box lingers for way too long after sending/forwarding a message, causing a long wait to access the delete and other buttons at the bottom of the app. Please enable user to suppress, reposition, tap through the box to shorten the display time. Same with 'message deleted'. Thanks!

  16. Consistent search bar

On iPhone or iPad, when you want to redirect a mail to a folder, a new window appears. However, unlike Apple mail, there is no search box.
It's tedious to scroll through all the folders until you find and select the one you want.
It would be interesting to see this search box appear in every window that opens on all proton services

  17. Multi-Recipient Email Forwarding with Optional Acceptance for ProtonMail Aliases

    Overview:

ProtonMail's email alias feature is a powerful tool for managing multiple identities and organizing incoming emails. However, currently, the forwarding functionality is limited to a single recipient per alias. To enhance collaboration and streamline communication within teams or departments, we propose the implementation of multi-recipient email forwarding for ProtonMail aliases. Additionally, recipients should have the option to choose whether they accept receiving emails forwarded to a specific alias.

    Feature Description:

This feature allows ProtonMail users, particularly those within shared vaults, to designate multiple recipients for emails forwarded to a specific alias. When an email is sent to the alias,…

  18. Android app: show all copied emails by default in replies

In the new Android app (which is great, btw), when I click "Reply All" to an email, by default it only shows the "To" field. "Cc" and "Bcc" are hidden by default, which is fine...unless there are recipients hidden on the Cc line. Right now if you Reply All to an email there is no indication at all on the draft screen that others are on copy unless you click the little arrow to expand the Cc options. This can (and has already, for me) create situations where you might send an email without noticing there are additional people on…

  20. Automatic reset of the search bar

It would be nice if the search bar automatically reset when you click on a folder after a search.
Or to have the choice of automatic reset.
Most of the time, you have to delete the word manually from the search bar to view the contents of a selected folder.
