  1. bulk edit of labels/folders

    In the setting page for the mail, I see my (LOOONG) list of labels (that were imported from my other mailer).
    I started removing them as no longer needed (nor useful).
    Unfortunately, it can be done only one at the time.
    It would be nice if one could select multiple labels from the list and then click on a "delete" button.

  4. multiple windows for desktop app

    I would greatly benefit from being able to have multiple windows open for the Proton Mail desktop app, or at the very least being able to create pop-outs for specific emails or Proton Calendar so that I can look at them while doing other things in Proton Mail.

  5. Require bio security login on Proton Mail (FaceID, TouchID, etc).

    It seems crazy that we don't have an optional requirement for bio login any time Proton Mail or Proton Password apps are opened.

  7. Add an option to show SMTP protocol

    All too often I need to check SMTP protocol for “sketchy” messages. In order to do so, I need to use an MUA on my MAC, typically Thunderbird. Apple iPhone mail won’t do it and I really don’t want to switch to a computer instead of using my phone. This can’t be hard.

  9. Unread count on collaped folders

    Having a nested folder structure that is fairly large is undesirable to always keep everything expanded. Collapsing a folder should show the total unread count of all sub-folders as expanding them all on a regular basis to check is a big pain and it's easy to be unaware of new messages.

  10. undo send

    I would like to suggest improvements to the "undo send" feature.

    1) At the moment, there are only options: 0, 5, 10 and 20 seconds.
    Why not allow users to enter the time period of their choice?
    - I would love to delay all my emails by 15 minutes,
    - someone might prefer 1 hour,
    - etc.

    And it's easy to implement.

    2) "undo send" should be available in ProtonMail phone apps.

  11. exclude search by labels

    "As a user of Proton Mail, I should be able to exclude the results of. my search by one or more labels I select, in order to select all non-matching messages in a folder."

    This would let me move, delete, or otherwise select all messages without a particular label, rather than only using the positive search match that I now see.

    Ideally, the filter would be something like this:

    !"Gmail import" or -label:"Gmail import"

  12. When you select a label from the side bar, the mail list is filtered by In Inbox/Not In Inbox

    In Proton Mail, I use my Labels from the side panel often. When I selected a label to view all my tagged mails, to the top-right I can already filter on read or unread mail.
    It would be great to ad a filter for labels that are still in inbox or not in inbox as 2 additional filter options.
    This will allow me to inspect labeled mails that are not archived yet.

    Why via this menu option? It only requires 2 clicks to look at mails with a label in inbox.

  13. Show unread folder emails in a folder/category on the main mobile view

    I don't love that I need to swipe open the sidebar and look over all of my folders to see if any new emails have arrived on the mobile (Android) app. It would be nice if the folders themselves could show up in the main mobile view if they contained any unread mail.

    There could be a preview of the subject and sender to let you know if it was worth looking at, and if not, you could swipe the folder away. It would show up again for future unreads. You could have a setting to prevent certain folders from…

  14. Add all organization users as contacts for all users

    I think it is fairly common to need to email other people from your organization on a regular/frequent basis. As such, it would be nice if there was a way to make it so that all users in an organization automatically get added to the contacts for all the other users. Then for example, when a new person starts, their contacts are already populated with the people that they might need to email.

  15. limit content search local cache to a date

    Currently content search in email (search in email body) is only provided when a local copy of your emails is downloaded to browser cache.
    This doesn’t work properly large email boxes: cache download takes too long, size is too big and search isn’t working smoothly.
    When Search Message Content is enabled please add option to allow me to set a date limit. I have a 19 year old email archive of >60k emails. Estimated time of downloading is >700 minutes. If it’ll fit in the limited browser local storage charge at all.

  16. Limitless email filters

    PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE remove the limit on email filters. I may have to reroute Proton Mail to Outlook so that I can set up filters without filter limits.

  18. Backup Email

    It is essential to have the option to export emails from a range of dates, e.g. all emails from 1-1-2025 to 31-1-2025

    This was possible with the import/export tool but I don't see it in the new tool. Please include this ASAP!

  19. Fix the Mail mobile app

    The mobile web interface is currently a far better way to use Proton Mail than the app. The UI looks better, the archive option is there when you view the message and it's better laid out. There seems to be no advantage whatsoever to using the app, which has an inferior UI and doesn't work offline. At the very least bring the UI of the app up to the quality of the mobile web interface, and make it work offline, or you may as well not have a mobile app.

  20. Sort the alignment of email subject in the app

    The email subject line is shown centrally aligned when an email is viewed in the app. This looks poor. It needs to be left aligned.
