  2. Ability to share contacts within an organization

A boss in an organization usually needs to share the contacts list with a personal assistant.

  3. Apply custom filters in Spam.

Custom Filters don't work when the email is already in spam folder.

Example: Set a filter to move all emails from test@test.com into the trash but since it has already been moved to the Spam folder, I'd have to whitelist it first in order to apply filters to it. This is counterproductive and generally Custom Filters should work across all folders, no matter what.

  4. Expiring emails for particular folders

I don't think this exists currently... It would be great to have an ability to customise a specific folder to archive or delete emails automatically after a time period. For example, a folder for Newsletters which are interesting enough to not delete immediately, so I pop them in a Newsletters folder, but any email in that specific folder, I can get them to automatically be deleted if they're older than a year old.

I keep most emails around forever, as some obscure emails from eons past still end up being useful in the future somehow. So I don't want this…

  5. Implement DANE for added security and privacy

DANE (DNSSEC) would be hugely beneficial to the security and privacy of ProtonMail. DANE makes Man-in-the-Middle attacks practically impossible.

This is a necessary addition and should certainly be prioritized over-all, as it is at the core of what ProtonMail represents: privacy and security.

It's currently a feature available over at Tutanota (https://tutanota.com) and definitely sets it apart as an arguably more secure option, here's a great read on the topic: https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/dane-everywhere

  6. Always BCC Myself

Apple Mail has it built in, but for the web access, I'd appreciate a way to always have the BCC field pop up when I'm composing, and be able to always BCC myself.

I know it sounds repetitive because messages I send already end up in the sent folder (I know I could just go file them from there). However, it's just easier for the emails I send to pop up as new emails in my inbox, then file the whole thread in a folder.

  7. Sieve: support Regex extension

I am subscribed to many, many mailing lists. When self-hosting my email I had a nifty sieve filter that used the Regex extension to automatically extract the name of the mailing list from the emails and file them into a different folder for each list.

  8. Allow us to edit contact information

If I have an email address without a name in my Contacts, I'd like to be able to edit it to add the name. Right now the only way to do it seems to be to create a new contact, then delete the old one.

  9. Multiselection (without checkboxes)

I would like to be able to select multiple items without using checkboxes, just by using ordinary standard selection controls such as holding the CTRL key while selecting multiple items or Holding the SHIFT key to select a range of items.

  10. Ability to change subject of received mails

Sometimes I will receive an important email without a subject or inappropriate subject. If we could change the subject then the email would be much easier to find if we need it in the future.

  11. ProtonMail Bridge-arm64/arm7hf

ProtonMail Bridge , on IOT , IE RPI or router ,
Also Linux Amr64 server class ..
anycase , could have rpi/rock64/pine64 password/pin proxy on a small iot/mini class appliance , esp for SMB/Enterprise customers , for home luks based IOT gateway might be a nice to have , if packages existed for arm7hf/arm64 sure someone could make an image on github rather trivially or a builder.. script/s
    s/imap proxy ..
besides a number of debian/etc dockers with qemu to build if gateway is closed source... feed in debbuild etc... , even if proton-mail had obfuscated public sources , a…

  12. More than 25 recipients - increase the limit for sending

Please allow more than 25 recipients for Professional customers. You will allow me to pay you for >100 users, but you won't let me email my entire company. I am a growing business, I would like to grow with you. This arbitrary limit makes that very difficult.

  13. Default reply via appropriate address

Emails to all of my addresses arrive at one inbox, and that is okay with me. However, when I REPLY to an email, my reply shows the DEFAULT (main) email for my account. Can the program be set up to reply via the PROXY email address the original was sent to? Thanks!

  16. Use SMTP from a script (e.g. PHP)

As a Web developer, I'd like to send emails from an address on my domain that I configured on ProntonMail. Other services make this possible by allowing you connecting to their server using the SMT protocol, but that's not possible with Proton because of the end-to-end encryption that makes the Bridge necessary.
It would be nice to have a server/command-line version of the Bridge that makes it possible to send email with Proton from PHP/Perl/Python/Whatever languages. Note that there is no real need to support any scripting language at all, as they generally already provide SMTP support just like Thunderbird…

  17. Setup AUTO REPLY To Work Per Email Address

Please setup the ability to enable/disable AUTO REPLY for each email address. I think if you made it so we could enable or disable per email address versus enabling/disabling on our accounts on all addresses, that would be helpful! Thank you!

  19. More colours for folders and lables

I'm sure there are people like me who like to use colour codes. I find myself running out of colours and using repeated colours for my folders and labels. Be nice if we can have more colours.

  20. Option to show the mail address, not the display name, nickname

A toggle option to display the real mail address of sender in mail box:

Exemple it show the sender is: "security@paypol.pl" instead of "Paypal Account Security" display name, directly in the inbox.

This is the best feature to counter SPAM, Phishing and Scam.

I had this feature with a plug-in in Thunderbird.
