  1. Add 'state' field to contact addresses

    Address fields do not include a dedicated field to enter contacts State of residence. For US contacts we need address filed 1, address field 2, City, State and Zip code

  2. Restore original URL when email using Amazon SES tracking link

    I noticed a lot more services use the click tracking provided by Amazon SES now, where the original URL is encoded inside an awstrack.me URL. Can you restore the original URL when I follow a link in a mail?

  3. Auto hide desktop menu

    For the desktop mail app.

    I am on linux, there is a menu at the top of the desktop with: "File Edit View Window.

    I think there is an option in electron to hide that: https://www.electronjs.org/docs/latest/api/browser-window.

    Slack for example has an option under "Window -> Always Show Menu Bar"

    Something like discord doesn't seem to ever show the menu bar.

  5. Show date/time in folder views

    In webmail, please make the option to display "date/time" in folder views (short format here favored.) Seeing just the time for the current day isn't the worst but beyond that it's a 'yesterday/no time,' then 'day name/no time,' and whatevers beyond that. This isn't user intuitive and is cumbersome taking time to figure out what one's looking at. Thanks

  6. Dynamic taskbar icon when recieve new email in desktop app

    When the desktop app is minimised, I would like to see a change to the icon in the taskbar when new e-mails are received. The new mail count would be preferred but any indication of new e-mail would be better then it is currently

  7. Turn off notifications on Linux

    I have just installed the Proton Mail App on my Linux Mint. I never had any notifications on, but suddenly, I get a notification for every email.

    I don't want that - please add a setting in All settings to enable me to turn off desktop notifications.

    As far as I know, Linux Mint doesn't have it's own per-app setting for notifications.

  8. Access vault with hardware key OTP

    Allow yubikeys OTP for instant access to account, each time it’s a new password generated by tapping or pressing the key unique to that physical key. So there’s no Authentication app or remembering passwords and imo easy but extremely secure in not the most secure

  10. Website specific email aliases - thing@user.mydomain.xx.xx

    "hide my email" is not sufficient in some cases. Better is to give a website a specific unique email address that can be tracked back to that website if said website has sold it to a third party. So, when implementing domain hosting, please make it possible to create aliases in the format: thing@user.mydomain.xx.xx

  11. When adding sender to contacts, show contacts without emails

    Für Speicherung neuer Emailadresse aus einer Email bei der Auswahl aus den Kontakten auch Einträge OHNE Email anzeigen .

    Es werden aktuell nach der Eingabe eines Namens nur die Möglichkeiten zur Anlage eines neuen Kontakts angeboten. Der vorhandenen Datensatz mit dem eingegeben Namen wird nicht angezeigt.

  13. Better screenreader support

    I am blind and use a screen reader. There is many buttons in the mail web app and IOS app that have no labels. This is simple carelessness. Proton says it wants to make security available for everyone, so why not make accessible design part of your development process so people using assistive technology can use it too.

  14. Customize iOS notifications (with filters)

    Currently I get an IOS notification every time an email comes in. The vast majority of my emails don't need an immediate response, but a few do. I would like to only get a notification on the IOS app if an email triggers a specific filter.

  16. Allow download only option for PDFs

    When it was requested, you did not give us the opportunity to preview PDFs, you FORCED us to preview them. I do not and never want to preview PDFs, as I ONLY use my pdf software to view PDFs. Now, you MUST preview it before you download it. I have had nothing but problems by closing protonmail entirely due to your poor interface with the PDF previewer closer when I try to close the PDF, I keep hitting the "close preview window" button, but it's also the "close PM" button.   17. Send encrypted email without password (user clicks a link to respond)

    Why can you only send a Password-protected Emails? It should be optional for receiver to just click a link. That way its easier for them, and the secure message can still expire..

  18. Customize favorite labels in reading action menu

    In the web application when reading an email there is an action menu for the email on the screen: "mark as read/unread, move to folder, move to trash, label, filter, etc.".

    I would like to be able to choose some favorite labels and have them show up on this menu bar so I don't have to hunt for them in the label menu. Likewise you could use a simple algorithm to show the commonly used labels here as well. I have a lot of labels but tend to apply some frequently and don't have easy logic to be able to…

  20. Use vector graphics in official Proton emails (rather than rasterized)

    At the bottom of almost every email is a list of all the graphic assets used in the body, of which need to be authorised for viewing before display (unless on a white list).

    Why not scrap all of that in your own advertisement emails by using vector based graphics, of which almost all of the assets are anyway.
