since I am a Windows 7 user I was Searching for a ProtonMail extension. ProtonMail requires Windows 10 or later, so creating an extension for fellow Windows 7 users would be great.

Always on Plain Text Mode

Currently, we can set the Composer mode to Plain Text in the settings at https://account.proton.me/u/0/mail/general. However, when replying to an email that was received in HTML format, the reply defaults to HTML mode as well. Although we can manually switch to Plain Text while composing the reply, it would be ideal if we could set Plain Text as the default for all replies, regardless of the format of the received emails.

Inbox grouping
Grouping options would make navigating and cleaning up the inbox much more efficient. For example, grouping by sender could allow for mass deletion of emails by a particular sender and better visualization of what senders are producing the most spam.
A good example of this feature would be from the email client, Chuck. They have implemented this beautifully.

New message alert tuned to important contacts only
Suggestion : only contacts that we have previously selected in the app will show up as a new message alert. So when the app shows "2" for example, it means 2 new messages - but only from contacts selected by us as important. Other new messages (newsletters & other) will only be visible when we open the app. So this is a 'minimum distractions' mode, where new messages don't show on the icon outside of the app, except from those we previously selected as important. Add print preview to desktop app
Please add print preview to the desktop app.
When printing from ProtonMail in a browser, you can see what the printout will look like, how many pages it will take, etc., and format accordingly. That's not possible in the desktop app.

Possibility to add more folders
I understand that you're not getting money by selling our data but Proton basic plan is so poor. For example, we can only add 3 folders. I wanted to switch from Gmail to Protonmail but even that is blocking me from doing so. I think, over time, when you add new features, some old features which were paid should come free to get more user base.

Allow encrypting protonmail app for linux/encrypt messages saved offline
I'd like to be able to encrypt the app itself & messages in the same way I can on the open-source protonmail client called ElectronMail ( https://github.com/vladimiry/ElectronMail). This allows me to save messages offline and keep them in an encrypted database as well as encrypting local access to the account that I saved login for. Currently the official linux beta app for mail does not allow securing the app itself at all!

Proton Android - Please move the 'Messaged Moved to Trash' above the bottom toolbar
Please move the "Message Moved to Trash" popup to above the toolbar when deleting a message.
There are times when I want to click one of the buttons after deleting a message from the inbox and the popup just sits there in the way.

Favorite/pin Labels and Folders
Make a separation between labels/folders that are always visible in the navigation bar on the left and labels/folders that can be collapsed. Like with the Views Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Stared which are always visible and the oder views Trash, Archive, Spam, All Mails which can be collapsed.
I would like to see the same mechanism for labels and folders. I want to have some labels which are always visible and at the top which are my most used labels and let me hide all other labels I don't need that often in a collapsable menu.

SimpleLogin compatibility in Security Center
Allow all Simple Login Alias's to be viewable in the ProtonMail sidebar Security Center. It's an obvious addition, and I'm surprised it isn't already part of the Security Center feature.

Label selection and copying over set of selected mails
Having selected one or more emails with labels and clicking on the "label" button, to add or remove labels to the emails selected in the set, the list of labels in the label selection box should be grouped and displayed as follow:
- first the labels attached to the whole emails in the set;
- then the labels attached to just some of the emails in the set;
- then the labels not attached to mails in the set.

I would like to disable hyperlinks on all received email with a global switch. The global sw can only be changed after a 2FA handshake.
I just dont want to click on links in emails. accidentally or intentionally. I believe this can be a powerful anti-phishing tool. Humans will become more and more susceptible to phishing attacks as AI becomes more pervasive in our every day lives. Yes it would require me to say logon to a website using the known URL from my password manager.

Hierarchical label display and management (as for folders)
On GMail I I use labels a lot to categorize mails in a nonexclusive and hierarchical way (about 700 labels in total, between primary and underlying levels) while I do not use folders, because they require unique assignment.
Folders have unique relationships to mails (a mail belongs to just one folder) while labels allow multiple relationships to mails (one mail can have multiple labels).
GMail displays labels in a structured manner (like Proton's folders), managing hierarchy and allowing users to expand and collapse levels (just as Proton does with folders).

Resizable left pane
Can we please have a sizeable left pane in the mail web and desktop app. It's very frustrating not being able to read long folder names.
This would enhance the experience and make it a lot easier to manage emails. There is already a sizeable pane for the email message itself, so hopefully this could be incorporated quite easily.
I would greatly appreciate this.

Allow to filter emails by alias
The user should be allowed to filter their emails in the mailbox based on each email alias they're having. Like the folders feature, but instead of creating a category, the email alias would be the filter.

Disable or delay tooltips
The current Tooltip feature should have an option to either completely disable it, or to set a delay before the tooltip pops up.
Currently, when I select emails to delete and then move my cursor up towards the Delete button, this tooltip pops up INSTANTLY when my mouse touches the box to select all, blocking access to the Delete button.
So I regularly have to move past the tooltip and wait for it to go away before I can click delete. This introduces "lag" in the action of selecting and deleting emails, something done on a frequent basis.

Add link to my reply to the reply icon
When I reply to an email, a left-arrow reply icon shows up. I would like that icon to be linked to my reply so it is easier to find my reply when not grouping messages by conversation view.
