  1. Reminder to encrypt mail to non protonmail users

    Sometimes when sending email to non protonmail users, you forget to encrypt them. Especially when you end up having a conversation with many replies, if you type a quick response it's very easy to forget to set the encryption password for outside users.

    It would be very useful to have a setting to alert me if I'm trying to send an outside mail without encryption, similar to what happens if you forget to type the recipient, or a title. It could be for all outside mail, or just for the case when you are replying to a conversation that started…

    I would like to see a switch for the default action of the "show images" function.

    In the preferences section, a switch could be added with 2 options:

    1. Always show images
    2. Ask (this would be the same as it is now).

    With option 1, images in the email body would always be displayed.

  5. Select multiple contacts for messaging, deletion

    Put a checkbox beside each contact to allow multiple selection of contacts for sending them the same message, or for deleting several contacts at once. Multiple editing of contacts could be nice but might not be possible.

    this email service is encrypted but they are still being stored on a server. I would like an option to purge some or all email from the server when needed/desired.

    Allow the user to choose whether an e-mail is sent to the sent folder. Some people prefer to save only certain e-mails, not all. For these users one has to find these e-mails and delete them. This becomes tedious when one could simply select not to have the e-mail saved in a Sent folder.

    As it is, when I sign-in to proton email, I must type my username, password and then mailbox password. All my passwords are long, complex and impossible to remember, so they're stored on paper. Is there a way to auto-populate all three fields. Chrome will auto-populate username and password only and Firefox doesn't auto-populate any of them. It is too impractical to pull out my password book and type each time I want to check email. I want to get both my parents on proton, but I know they'll never go through this hassle. Thanks.

  14. Can you suggest a way we users can make donations.

    I haven't discovered a means to contributing funds to help with your endeavor. Thank you ever so much for helping to establish email privacy for lay people. Now, we must spread the news and educate folks out of their apathy toward registering with ProtonMail :)

  15. Separate passwords for different devices

    GMail has the option to allocate distinct passwords for separate services and on separate devices e.g. Mail on iPad, selecting this will issue you a strong new password of which that Google service can only be access with on that particular device.

  16. add the indenting editing feature like in gmail.

    Please add sophisticated numbering and indenting capabilities as in Gmail. Gmail's indenting and numbering/bulleting editing features are far superior to the ones in protonmail and those gmail features allow visual sorting of subjects and subordinate points and paragraphs like I.A.2.b. Each of these can be put on a different indentation level in gmail which immediately shows which points are subordinate to a higher category. The lack of these features has stopped me from switching from gmail to protonmail already 8 years ago. I'm very disappointed. Also your proton feedback site here didn't let me log in with an existing protonmail…

  17. Delay messages on folders too

    You can only delay a message if that one is on the Inbox. If I move that message to any folder, it no longer can be delayed and delivered later.

  18. I would like to improve the management of sent mails in folders

    i like how we can sort mails by folder, For received mails this works fine, however, I would like to be able to "move" sent mails to the same folder tree (removing them from the sent box)
