1. Custom button in Proton Mail for Identity and addresses

   Hello,
   It would be nice to have faster acces to option to check my Identity and addresses, instead of going to Settings - All Settings - and Identity and addresses. Maybe a custom button underneath Imbox,Drafts, Sent...
   Or better yet somewhere to be listed when you click on the upper right profile icon.
   Sometimes I can't remember what Identity and addresses I created...

4. Link confirmation: option to disable warnings per domain

   When clicking a link, a window appears saying:
   “Link confirmation
   You are about to open your default browser and visit: URL”

   There is a checkbox “don’t show again”. Please add another option like “don’t show again for this second-level domain”.

   There are many trusted websites where I don’t want to see this confirmation every time, and at the same time there are many unknown or suspicious sites where I do want to keep seeing the warning. Having per-domain control would make this much more convenient and useful.

5. Flexebility for filters and email import

   Folders are needed inside filter settings. I have many similar filters for different services that do things like archiving. I’d like to put them all into a folder like “Archiving”. Other rules could go into folders like “Work emails”, etc.
   It would also be very useful to have an option in filters like “apply this filter only to a specific folder”. For example, the filter would work only for the “Work emails” folder, or globally, depending on the setting.

   Also, filters are missing an option like “do not apply other filters after this one”, and the ability to pin an important filter to the top of the list. Right now, one filter runs and then others keep running too, which I don’t always want. Sometimes this behavior is needed, sometimes it isn’t. There should be a way to control this.

   Please also add the ability to import emails from other servers without adding a MANDATORY label. This is annoying. I don’t need a label on imported emails because they go straight into an archive folder. The label only creates noise and distracts from the labels I actually use for working with mail addressed to my Proton account.

6. search the text of a specific email

   I want to be able to search within the current opened email, the one i'm looking at. If i use a browser, i can easily use ctr+f to locate a certain keyword. But I am unable to do so using the Pronton email.

7. Show sender’s brand icon in iOS push notifications instead of ProtonMail app icon

   Currently, every push notification received on iOS displays the ProtonMail app icon, regardless of who sent the email.

   I would like the notification to show the sender’s own brand icon or favicon instead of the fixed ProtonMail logo.

   This would make it much easier and faster to recognize the source of each email directly from the lock screen or notification center.

   ProtonMail already displays sender favicons beautifully inside the inbox. Extending this same experience to iOS push notifications would greatly improve the overall user experience.

9. Tokenised, deterministic, LLM powered Inbox Triage

   I'm concerned that the privacy-first nature of proton will cause it to lag behind privacy-backward competitors and create relative friction in the UX which becomes a real burden.

   With a secure LLM operating on your own servers this doesn't have to be the case.

   You guys could implement a sufficiently constrained implementation with your in-house LLM which can pre-emptively offer very smart AI actions for those of us who don't mind it running on your servers (this is a compromise I'd be willing to make for the functionality, and lesser functionality could be offered to those who aren't).

   I'm imagining pre-drafted responses, 'add to calendar', 'add reminder', 'create task' triage options similar to that which has been implemented in Gemini's interactive surfaces. It would put the value of your LLM add-on through the roof, and would ensure ProtonMail continues to be relevant in the AI age. **** it's a short step from that to a full privacy-first default e2e encrypted LLM layer over the full proton stack.

10. Calendar Items that Overlap; Overlap w/ Transparency Instead of Side by Side

    When calendar events overlap, it would be nice for them to become transparent in color and for the items to overlap instead of items shrinking to fit side by side. This would allow the user to still read the contents of events easily instead of them becoming nearly unreadable when side by side.

11. More flexible themes for web mail

    We need more flexibility with themes in the web version of the mail (tbh in desktop apps i would like to have this ability also: at least to use web theme inside the app without settings for it). Look at the attached image — I really like how one of the services lets you choose a theme and also set accent colors.

    Currently, we can change the mailbox color scheme or select ready-made themes, but it would be great to also apply custom colors to these themes. Sometimes it’s fun to have a Christmas or Halloween theme. Ideally, there could be a “Seasons” theme that automatically changes the interface with seasons and holidays.

    This is more of a nice-to-have feature, so it could be limited to paid subscribers.

    There should be a keyboard shortcut that mimics the system's default (⌘ + , for Mac) to open the All Settings page in the Proton Mail desktop app.

13. Better UI for Calendar

    I moved to Proton Calendar a month ago, from Outlook and Google Calendar. I am frustrated with the user interface, and feel it adds to much "friction" to daily task like creating or moving events. It is the same both on Android and Windows. Do you have plans for improving UI, or providing integration with external calendar clients?

15. Password protected Mail Bridge - Still actually need

    I think the original post is still a good request. Actually, on a share familly home computer, you must keep all user connected to bridge to be able to send or receive email from IMAP/SMTP client.

    There is no problem if the account connected is only for one email address, but if you use alias or custom domain with multiple inbox, you do not want all those mailboxes available to the IMAP/SMTP client. Actually, someone can add an IMAP account to access those mailboxes without authorization because one of the mailbox need to be accessible anytime and so the proton account is always connected to bridge . There should be password protection for each alias or account before accessing IMAP/SMTP connection information

16. User interface colors are not user friendly

    You folk might like deep purple (not the band) but the theme is difficult to distinguish between one proton app and another . -- especially on mobile devices. I know people are touchy about this subject, but you need a radical redesign of your UI. Its easy to mke mistakes using your app and the color changes would help a lot.. I truly wish you would spend the money and hire a real UI designer maybe someone from the old Jobs apple era and have them redo mail and please calendar .. which I have totally given up using .. (use the Apple calendar app as a guideline) --

    When an email is sent using a reverse alias created in SampleLogin, the information shown in the "From" field or in the email "Header info" refers to the inbox. It would be useful to also include the alias address information to which corresponds the reverse alias.

    When creating or editing a tag, an option to apply a sieve filter or action to take when an email is tagged with this specific tag, like "set expiry to 30 days" or "remove expiry", etc.
