How can we improve Proton VPN?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

    BLURB
    Let's face it - it's cumbersome to search for long country names (e.g. United States). It would be save a significant number of key strokes, to include in the country search list, the 2- or 3- digit ISO country code and show this country first in the results (e.g. US for United States, or CH for Switzerland), so one does not have to choose between all the countries containing "United" (USA, UK, UAE, etc)

  4. Ability to change default Wireguard port 51820

    Hello, please add an option, to change the default 51820 Wireguard port, to any port of choice, this will help mask VPN connection and will help people who live in countries that block VPN traffic.

  5. split tunneling for domain name

    Current split tunneling allows IP address and application. The IP address is an unreliable way to open a bypass to an external website.

    Please add the ability to split tunnel to a domain name. This would help with various sites that block VPN Server IP addresses.

  6. Change Finland's flag in Proton VPN Android TV app

    Finland's flag looks really strange in the Android TV app. The blue cross is really thin, and the colour is clearly off as well. You can find the correct dimension and colour at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Finland. Much appreciated.

    While I occasionally use Firefox and Chrome, my primary browser is Safari, and it would be great if you had a ProtonVPN extension for it.

  8. Geofence auto-connect

    Being able to set the VPN to autoconnect when it goes to mobile data, certain wifi networks, or all except for certain wifi networks would be super helpful. For example, whenever I am not on my home Wi-Fi it would auto connect, no matter if it is mobile data or a public hotspot, etc.

  9. Separate Key/Cert in download configuration

    AirVpn has the possibility to generate ( for OPENVPN protocol) separate file for ca.crt user.crt user.key tls-crypt.key.

  10. Add regex support to split tuneling

    When an app gets updated, the executable path may change. This breaks the split tuneling setup, which has to be remade through the ui.
    The suggestion is to allow user to add executable paths with regexes.

    • Offering more features and options for customization and security .

    You make it really hard to see all options and pick and chose and compare.

    Your packages sure are priced well, but I rather pay more and get what I want, exactly and not have to pay less for something I don't want

  15. Port Forwarding support for MacOS

    Port Forwarding is available on Windows but there's no ETA about its availability in Mac (OSX).

    MacOS is behind not only in Port Forwarding but also Split Tunneling and that's a lot. Need to priority feature parity.

  20. Set apparience on Android as well as on IOS

    I've just seeing the IOS app screenshot from https://protonapps.com/protonvpn-android

    The buttons are located at button and the android version located at top. Is any way to change this and the two version looks the same?
