Better technlology to bypass websites that actively block VPNs
I am increasingly facing websites that actively block people when connecting via VPN. I see this trend increasing and it is a threat to privacy.
There was already a feature request in this regard labeled as "finished". Funny enough, the website mentioned in that request still doesn't work with the VPN enabled: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932836-proton-vpn/suggestions/46860823-bypassing-vpn-blockers-option
It is really easy for websites to see that the connection is via a VPN and we need better technology design to avoid being blocked for the wrong reasons.
I certainly don't want to connect to banks or other sites without a VPN connection, especially when in…

macOS/iOS Feature Parity with Windows/Android
The Windows and Android apps often lead the way with new features, and those features frequently never make it to macOS or iOS.
For example, profiles are much more configurable in Windows/Android than they are in the Apple apps. Similarly, if you look at the requests on this site, there are many that are planned for Windows/Android … but will never come to macOS or iOS.
The macOS and iOS apps are surprisingly limited -- you can't even tell what city you are connected to in the macOS app -- and it's frustrating knowing that other platforms enjoy much more…

Further Profile Customization - Select Sever by State/Province and City
Hey all, after using Proton VPN for years, I love the features and options. However, one option I'm finding I wish I had was further server profile customization.
For instance, if I make a profile for the fastest server in the USA, I cannot select by State. However, when using family streaming accounts on a VPN, I find selecting a local State/Province helps with speed and accessibility. If my family is in Texas and doesn't normally use a VPN, but I log in to the account while connected to a Chicago VPN server, I find the streaming app doesn't work…

Show the US split into states and then show the servers once you select a state
The US states have different privacy laws and are the same size as many countries on the list, so I feel like when you select us you should get another selection for states before seeing the servers. It would make using US servers much more manageable

Make Proton VPN's Windows UI More Consistent with Mobile Apps
I wanted to share some thoughts on the UI for Windows, it doesn’t really match the look and feel of the Android or iOS versions (though I haven’t used the iOS app in a while, so I’m not sure how it looks now). Compared to the Android app, the Windows version feels less polished.
The font looks outdated, and the unrounded corners on things like the flags and the window itself clash with the design of the app, since there are rounded corners alongside them. Also, it should show the cities of the server location, and have better custom profile…

Sort the list of countries by proximity
This would be really useful for those of us who download via Torrent, every time I want to download via Torrent I have to manually search for the country closest to my country to get the fastest download speed. Which makes me have to scroll down quite a lot, when you do it so many times it ends up being very tiring and that's why I would like the country closest to mine to be at the top of the list.

Android improvements (country names, profiles, metrics, random connections)
A posted this on reddit, but I figured I'd put it here as well.
I've been a longtime user of ProtonMail and ProtonVPN and am incredibly grateful of everything they've done to make privacy accessible to more people. I also really love the new ProtonMail app. But ProtonVPN has problems.
To some it up, it seems like functionality has been sacrificed for vague aesthetics.
Specifics:
1. The name of the country you are connected to is in tiny text down near the bottom of the screen. This is even worse if you are connected to the "fastest country". Instead most…13 votes -

Port Forwarding support for Linux
Port Forwarding is available on Windows (https://protonvpn.com/support/port-forwarding/) but there's no ETA about its availability in Linux.
Creating this specific feature request for Linux support. Feel free to create a copy for MacOS if that's your use case.

Split Tunneling - Make selected apps or IP's VPN-only
When using split tunneling you are able to select which apps or IP's you want to be routed through the VPN. Would it be possible to to also make the selected apps or IP's only work through VPN? This way if the VPN goes down these apps would blocked but you wouldn't need to kill all internet traffic. This is a feature that Private Internet Access has.

Improved server search and profile creation.
Provide the ability to search for servers and create profiles using filters based not only on country but things like city, state, type of server (e.g., basic, P2P), load, latency, etc.

Include Domain Names in Split Tunneling Exclude list
Currently, adding a website to the exclude list requires that I first must find out the IPv4 numerical address, which is not easy to do for a lot of people. I eventually found: https://dns-lookup.com
It would be nice if the exclude list could accept names instead of numbers, it would only require using your own DNS server to return the numerical address to the app as an appended tag for the exclude entry - so the app would still work pretty much the same as before
