Markdown support
We all need the key feature, which is Docs and Sheets support, but in the meantime would be also nice to deliver markdown support to be able to create it directly in the drive and export it to PDF for example. I guess that most of cases people need to create some kind of statements or easy documents and export them, and it could be done just with markdown integration as we can see with HackMD or Obsidian and other. From my point of view, it's a trade-off between developer complexity and user usability.

Allow the android client to access cameras connected via USB directly.
Right now, if you want to back up photos from a camera to your ProtonDrive account via a tablet, the most straightforward way is to import the images to the tablet, and then open the ProtonDrive app and upload them. I propose skipping the middle step and simply upload them from the camera directly to ProtonDrive.
- If you have an inexpensive tablet, the number of photos to backup might easily exceed the space available on the tablet.
- Such backups might be crucial for photojournalists using professional cameras in ares where security forces sometime confiscate cameras. The alternative is hiding the…

[IOS App] Let us the possibility to scroll through the images
For example, you are in a folder with all you last vacation pictures :
currently we have to open a picture, close it and then open a new one !

Select Video Player
At the moment, the ability to open or stream a video on Proton Drive is restricted to the default player via andriod mobile. Could we explore the possibility of allowing users to choose their preferred video player, similar to the feature offered by Dropbox?

SHARED FOLDERS : Subfolders and contents need download counters and a share indicators.
If you share a folder only the folder pointed to by the URL link records if it is shared and how many downloads have occurred using that link.
Within the shared folder the "details" menu option of each subfolder and file indicate they are not shared and doesn't record if they have been downloaded.
All shared objects need to indicate they are being shared and how many downloads have occurred. Currently the management of shared objects is very limited if you don't have this information.

Release a visionary plan for black friday.
For those of us who initially missed out, it would be nice to have an option for visionary. Even if it is more expensive than the original, this would be a nice way to have a symbiotic relationship with Proton and also potentially drum up sales for Proton.

Activiy overview on Web UI as in the Windows app
The Drive Web UI should show the Activity (document up/downloads etc.) just as in the Windows application. This is generally handy, but even more if you run crude sync setups and to be able to check status without being "on that machine".

Shared folders: Navigate folders or gallery preview for photos/files
After sharing a folder (thanks for adding the ability to share a folder!), give the ability to navigate the folder tree to individual files. Then for photos or any file that can be previewed, give the option to preview the file. Think the Preview app in OSX, it works really well.
I use the ability to share a folder to give access to photos of my kids to their grandparents and family members. Switching from Sync, Sync offers the folder navigation feature I described above, but what would set Proton Drive apart even more would be a "Photo Album" viewer. …

Self-Destructing Files
Self-Destructing Files: I believe there is an opportunity to enhance file security by implementing self-destructing functionality for shared files and files in the deleted files folder. Currently, shared files do not have The ability to self-destruct, and files in the deleted files folder remain indefinitely until manually deleted. Adding a self-destruct timer for both shared files and files in the deleted files folder would provide users with greater control over data privacy and eliminate the need for manual deletion.

ProtonDrive Screenshot instant sharing feature (Like dropbox has now)
I think everyone who is using or have been used Dropbox for files sharing on macOS was happy and find it so useful and time saving feature - instant screenshot sharing option. For those who doesn't know I explain how it should work.
You make screenshot on the macOS (SHIFT+CMD+4) and your screenshot is instantly uploaded to ProtonDrive and the URL link copied to clipboard.
Asking for macOS Client firstly, but if possible to make it for Linux and Windows as well, why not to include it in the roadmap?

Proton Drive Password Protection
For the past few months, I have been using the Proton Drive. It's a great resource, but I'm always active on my email and wait to log out. My concern is that I have sensitive documents in my Drive, and I would like to have the option to set passwords to folders, or when accessing DRIVE, the system will ask me for the password to edit and move or delete any document. I would like an app for Windows to do only backup, not sync, of my local folders on Proton Drive, like the Amazon Photos app. I don't want that, in case the files are removed from the cloud, they're also removed from my local pc.

Copy document from website to proton drive directly.
Instead of transferring from this computer ("uploading") to Proton Drive, how about transferring from another computer to Proton Drive?
That is, allow providing a URL to a document so it can be transferred from some other computer to Proton Drive.
I have a personal website and would like to transfer a copy of a couple files without "downloading" them first. Less transferring (less network traffic) that way. Ideally, the transfer request would not come from my computer, but instead from the Proton Drive server (or whatever other computer you all want to use that is in your control for security).

Being able to identify and delete the largest files
With Google, there is a page that will help you to understand what service (Drive, Mail, Photos, et cetera) are consuming what % (or amount of GB) of the total diskspace available in your plan.
As second step it would be very useful to be able to filter on file-sizes over all sources (Mail, Drive, Photo) and being able to delete the selected files to free up space efficiently and have regular housekeeping.

File Symbolic Linking
One of my uses of ProtonDrive is to archive documents. For these, I wish to be able to archive them in multiple places; the same document has relevance to both the new house I purchased as well as to taxes. As such, i would like to have a link to the file appear in both of these places.
Currently, to support this I must upload the file twice into the two locations, potentially requiring me to download the file prior to re-uploading it.8 votes
