Desktop support for photos
Hello,
It's awesome we can now backup photos from phones, however it's not really convenient to search through all the photos (mobile and web), I wish we had an UI/UX similar to what Dropbox does.Also I'd love to be able to check my backed up photos from my computer (again, similar to Dropbox, just a preview from the folder, and only download if I open the photo), now I can only check from the web.

View breakdown of storage
It would be great if we could see how big folders are in Drive, as well as a nice view of what's taking up all our space. Much like the program WinDirStat.

Annotations for files/directories
The ability to tag directories and files with annotations, even if they're just limited to being very short notes, would be very useful for tasks pertaining to organizing file collections, and overall preventing long-term forgetfulness that tends to come with that (example: it's 2030 "why did I keep these files around? They look deprecated... oh, right here's a note I left six years ago reminding myself why I shouldn't delete these. Okay then.")

Document requests for upload
Besides sharing documents securely I also want to receive documents securely. Therefore, a proton mail integrated feature that allows to request documents to be uploaded via proton drive to my drive via a link shared via email.

Crucial information on reinstalltion is not documented, seriuosly impacting on what is cloud stored. Default setting not appropriate
New features:
* Relevant documentation
* The removal process in the app should NOT have the default set to "Remove Proton Drive settings and previously remembered credentials"
* Removal of a named folder from the list of folders that set to be synced is too simple.I could not find any documentation on this, only found out by multiple tests.
If your plan is to reinstall the Proton Drive app and expect to return to syncing as before with all previous versions intact - Be careful.

Web PDF Viewer Improvements
Here are possible improvements to the pdf viewer (web):
- Remove encryption
- Convert to PDF/A
- Convert to Linearized PDFI think the first one is the most useful for people. And once this is implemented, the other two could be easy to implement (given the toolchain required for the the first one).

Upload from a hyperlink
Ideally we would have remote upload but then I guess that's not possible due to E2EE. So, instead give a web UI feature, where instead of having to manually download and then upload, the Web UI itself downloads the file onto storage and encrypts and uploads it.

Being able to identify and delete the largest files
With Google, there is a page that will help you to understand what service (Drive, Mail, Photos, et cetera) are consuming what % (or amount of GB) of the total diskspace available in your plan.
As second step it would be very useful to be able to filter on file-sizes over all sources (Mail, Drive, Photo) and being able to delete the selected files to free up space efficiently and have regular housekeeping.

Release a visionary plan for black friday.
For those of us who initially missed out, it would be nice to have an option for visionary. Even if it is more expensive than the original, this would be a nice way to have a symbiotic relationship with Proton and also potentially drum up sales for Proton.

Select Video Player
At the moment, the ability to open or stream a video on Proton Drive is restricted to the default player via andriod mobile. Could we explore the possibility of allowing users to choose their preferred video player, similar to the feature offered by Dropbox?

Allow the android client to access cameras connected via USB directly.
Right now, if you want to back up photos from a camera to your ProtonDrive account via a tablet, the most straightforward way is to import the images to the tablet, and then open the ProtonDrive app and upload them. I propose skipping the middle step and simply upload them from the camera directly to ProtonDrive.
- If you have an inexpensive tablet, the number of photos to backup might easily exceed the space available on the tablet.

Number of files left to sync for macOS
When syncing to a macOS client it would be nice to see how many files there are left to sync as an idea of how long it may take or if it had got stuck

Navigate by path
I would like to be able to navigate by a known path.
Right now, I have to manually click down each node of the path to get to my destination folder. Folders with many files/folders take some time to populate to be able to click on. If I know my path, I'd like to be able to enter the folder path to skip navigating each node on the path.

shared folder notifications of file upload
It would be great if it was possible to have a customizable notification email sent to designated addresses when a file gets uploaded to a shared folder, both between proton users and external users.
The same for if people have a drop folder, that the owner user would receive a notification of that activity.

Optimize local storage with files on-demand option
Some cloud storage applications have options to optimize local storage space by allowing users to optionally enable files on-demand. In this usage, the full file is stored in Proton Drive cloud with a representative file stored locally. When a user attempts to open the locally stored representative file (say opening a JPEG), the full file is downloaded just in time.
