  1. Add Row/Column Groups to Proton Sheets

I track many things in my spreadsheets and grouping is a lifesaver. When I decide to track the TV series that I have watched by Season and suddenly there are 1000 rows in my spreadsheet, it would be almost impossible without grouping together first alphabetically and then by show as a secondary/subgroup. This makes it much easier to find what I am looking for and not be bombarded with however many rows in each spreadsheet.

This is one of the two main things keeping me with google sheets at the moment and I would love to fully switch over once…

  2. Sheets - Add VSTACK and HSTACK Functions

What the title says. These are standard functions in Excel and Google Sheets.

  3. Sheets - Array Literals Curly Brace Notation to Combine/Append Ranges

I have a workbook with multiple sheets in it. Each sheet represents a different client and each sheet has the same column layout and data types. I need to build a summary page that combines information from every sheet together into one sheet but this appears to be impossible in Proton Sheets.

In Google Sheets the notation for this is dead simple:

    ={Sheet1!A:C; Sheet2!A:C}

The above usage is simple but array literals are much more powerful than that when combined with other functions and formulae. External resources:

  4. Consistent Styling

Disregarding that Docs and Sheets do not have any selectable themes like in the main Drive page, there are two inconsistencies:
    1. Tooltips in Drive show above the mouse cursor while tooltips in Docs and Sheets pop up below the cursor.
This is actually also an accessibility issue as using a slightly larger mouse cursor will partially hide any information the tooltip was trying to show
    2. Docs and Sheets have inconsistent menus. Sheets have the conventional "File, Edit, View, ... , Help" menus while Docs lack many features to fill menus but hides everything else in an overflow menu.…

  5. Have a link to another proton doc open an already existing tab.

Currently a link to another proton doc opens a new tab, even if the doc is available in an existing tab.

  6. Insert links to other proton docs in a wiki style.

Navigating in a wiki style would be a very powerful feature.

  8. Web Clipper

I would love to see Proton Drive have a browser extension that offered a "web clipper" feature. A function that would allow the user to click on the extension in the browser to select different options like screenshoting and web clipping by clipping entire page or by manual selection and those selections then uploading to the user's Proton Drive. Would be a great way to save pages for later viewing and would add even more function to Proton Drive.

  9. Add support for absolute cell references (i.e. using "$")

    Steps:
    - Cell K1 contains the formula, "=$A1"
    - Click on K1 and copy with cmd+c
    - Select cell L1, and paste with cmd+v

    Expected result:
    - The formula in L1 should be "=$A1"

    Actual result:
    - The formula in L1 is "=$B1"

So it appears the use of "$" to denote absolute cell references (e.g. "$A1", "A$1", "$A$1") is not supported. This would be hugely valuable addition, and is currently preventing me moving from Google to Proton Sheets.

  10. Sheets: Better support for manually inputting durations

I really like that Proton Sheets properly supports time-only data and durations. However, manually inputting a duration is a bit of a hassle, as the underlying data seems to be in fractions of a day: If I want my duration cell to display e.g. "8:00:00", I have to input 0.33333 or =8/24. It would be nice if Sheets recognized some common time durations, so that e.g. 8h, 8h30, 8.5h or 8:30 is converted to the proper duration value.

  11. multiple album

I found suggestion to add subfolder or to move photo from an album to another, but I couldn't find a suggestion to support multiple album assignement to a single photo. Album should behave like labels, more than like folders, in my opinion.

  12. Sheet: Choose encoding when import

We cannot choose file encoding when importing CSV file.

Because of I'm Japanese user, I often use Shift JIS encoding for CSV file.

There are many services that issues CSV as Shift JIS encoding in Japan.

  13. photo location

Support location metadata for photo: show it in details and make it possible to correct coordinates or location. It should also be good to have automatic albums based on location.

  14. Add to album list order

It's not clear what's the order in the "add to album" list from a selected photo. It should be by name, or better to be selectable (date, alphabetical...) or searchable with a text box.

  16. Proton Sheets - edit chart axis range

In Proton sheets, when I make a chart out of my data, the Y-axis always starts from 0. However, if all my values are in the thousands, this is unnecessary and hides the differences between my values, as they all look similar in this zoomed-out view. So, I would like to edit the range of the chart axes by setting min and max values to my liking.

  17. Cryptomator Android support

It would be great if Proton Drive has an API or WebDav support for Cryptomator to be able to implement it in the Android app to sync Cryptomator vaults to Proton Drive directly that way

It's already possible to do that on Windows (and I beloeve macOS?) using the Proton Drive app and setting up the Cryptomator vault inside the Prpton Drive directory

But on Android it's not possible which makes accessing important files on Android too hard

    Thanks

  18. Proton Drive - Save feature integration

I want to be able to save files or links etc. from the iPhone "share" menu. Right now, I can only save to the iPhone Files app which has Proton Drive, but I would prefer to save directly to the Proton Drive app.

  19. Add function to snap a chart to the grid

Add a feature to snap a chart to the grid. So, for example, if it is resized, it follows the grid cells.

  20. Proton Sheets - Conditional Formatting

I'm really enjoying the new Proton Sheets, great work!
The Conditional Formatting manager could use a couple of quality-of-life improvements to make it easier to work with multiple rules:
Currently, the Conditional Formatting sidebar lists every rule in the entire sheet, regardless of which cells are selected. This can make the list very long and hard to navigate in larger spreadsheets. Google Sheets only displays the rules that apply to the currently selected cells, which makes it much faster to find, edit, or reorder the relevant rules. Adopting the same behavior would be a big usability win.
    Also, when editing…
