  1. Backup docs / files from android

    To be able to backup docs/files from the android like it backs up photos.

    Also to be able to delete these backed up files from device.

  2. Proton Docs: Convert Case

    I would like a feature to change the case of selected text. For example, change "I have a dog named Bruno" to:

    • all caps ("I HAVE A DOG NAMED BRUNO")
    • all lower case ("i have a dog named bruno")
    • title case ("I Have a Dog Named Bruno")

  3. Tagging and/or Starring Important Documents

    Tagging and/or starring documents in proton drive will make it easier to find specific files or find important items instead of throwing them all in a single folder called "Important" *this is what I have been doing". Additionally this can make it quicker to access them.

  4. Control how often a Proton document auto-saves

    Editing a long Proton doc is becoming impossible because it auto-saves so much that it becomes unusable and lags.

    Is it possible to control the auto-save settings so that it only autosaves every (e.g.) one minute rather than after every keystroke. It's not a problem for small documents but it is for bigger than 8-10 pages.

  5. Select folders not to Sync to machine

    I use Proton Drive to store my files and there are some folders that I don't want to download to my machine. Would it be nice to have settings in the sync app to choose folders not to download.

  6. Phone Photo Sync

    Similar to the new ProtonDrive backup feature, a sync option would be nice so we don’t need to delete photos from multiple locations.

    You could have a hybrid solution as well.
    Daily sync with monthly full backup for example

  7. Improvements for Proton Docs

    Improvements to Proton Docs would allow me to be able to switch to Proton almost exclusively, which would be amazing! Here's some things I'd love to see in Docs:

    • See the borders of my documents (maybe an on-off toggle switch)
    • Ability to adjust margins and print settings before writing
    • Improved tables/grids/graphs
    • Custom line spacing
    • More font options or the ability to import fonts
    • Export Proton Docs to .docx or .pdf, and the ability to convert these file types into Proton and edit them as Proton Docs (like Google Docs does).
    • Offline use

    If Proton Docs could get on the same…

  9. Improvements in documents (save order lists, summary index)

    Using proton docs as default, I have noticed that these problems are being a pain:

    1. Alphabetical or numbered lists lost the order if you add a table, code block or quote in the middle. Too would be great if these blocks will adapt to the line indent, to keep design and structure of the document.

    2. It is not possible to add manually or automatically a summary index to move faster in long documents. At the moment I am using comments, which appear in a sidebar and allow me to move faster.

  10. Show file/directory hash checksum

    I'd like to have the ability to check whether or not my local version and the Proton Drive version are the same using hash checksums (like sha3-256 or other variants) or even multiple checksums, just like Linux file explorer (such as Thunar) shows you the checksum in md5, sha algorihms.

  11. Photos: Let me choose my grid size and thumbnail aspect ratio on the Android App

    Please add a setting to the Android app that let's me choose the amount of columns in the Photos view myself. Currently it's 3 on my screen, where 4 or 5 would be much more useful for finding photos quickly.

    Also please consider letting me set it to a square aspect ratio for the thumbnails, so I can see more photos on a single screen.

  13. more space! we should have the option to have 1TB minimum or even up to 4TB.

    500GB is nowhere near sufficient.
    I want the privacy and security proton drive has, but it should really be 1TB at minumim, and we should have the option to add more.
    Way more.

  14. Ergänzung zur ProtonDrive-App für Windows

    Es wäre gut wenn im Sync-Bereich nicht nur "Ordner öffnen" oder "Ordner entfernen" verfügbar wäre, sondern auch wenn die Sync "gekappt" werden könnte OHNE DAS VERZEICHNIS IN DER CLOUD ZU LÖSCHEN.
    Außerdem wäre es gut, wenn man vom Bereich "Computer" Dateien in den "My Files" Bereich kopieren oder verschieben könnte. Die Web-App sollte mit der Desktop-App interagieren können.

  15. Sorting

    Here is a suggestion for an addition to the sorting options in Proton Drive. It would be great if it were possible to choose an option where the folder and files that have been opened most recently appear at the top. This way, the folders and files that are used most frequently would remain at the top of the list.

  16. Add WYSIWYG

    Currently the Proton Doc editor is not WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) : once you click on "download" or "print", the document looks totally different from what you were editing (also, the editing view misses a page boundaries display).

    Moreover, the "download as pdf" gives a totally different look than the "print as pdf" (MacOS) option.

    It makes it really hard, if not impossible, to use Proton Doc to build PDF documents or to print ones.

    Google Docs manages to do that so it should be possible to do it in Proton Docs as well.

  17. Local Storage on Proton Drive

    Instead of having only a certain amount of cloud storage, I propose a feature where you can use a local drive. For example, Nextcloud and 1 more service have the ability to turn a NAS or a USB in your computer into your own cloud.

  18. CLI interface for use of rsync

    Several ideas for a command lin einterface have been posted already. I vote for the use of rsync. For the client side, it's included in many Linux distributions, and if not, it's very easy accessible via the official package management (General Public License). It has a vast variety of configuration possibilities, among them limiting backups to incrementel ones which can save a lot of time.

  19. Print document without link in footer and "Proton Docs Editor" in header of every page

    Right now if you print or download as PDF (which simply uses the same print dialog) the header of each page gets stamped with the date and time and "Proton Docs Editor" and the footer gets stamped with a URL to your document.

    Really disruptive to the experience and makes Proton Docs professionally unusable for printing or sharing PDF documents which is a big deal. I have to export as a Word document and open elsewhere if I want to print and then I might as well just use Word at that point.

  20. Offline decrypted stored files mobile (iOS)

    It would be incredibly helpful if there were an option or an adjustment to an existing feature that allows (offline) stored files to be already decrypted. Similar to how files are stored on a PC.

    In the mobile app (iOS), it is currently impractical to scroll through a folder of images. This means having to manually download each image, open it, view it, close it, and then open the next one.
