    Hiya Proton Team!
    Folders are the crux of everything we do on Drive. From organising our cherished memories, separating the important from the miscellaneous, to categorising documents. I think Folders in Drive need a facelift to help make them even more useful for users.

    1. Favourite/Star Folders - Star any folder or subfolder to add it straight to the homepage for quick access
    2. Pin to Top - Pin any subfolder to the top of its parent folder regardless of usual order, with the usual resuming when there are more than one pinned folder
    3. Colours/Icons - Allow users to choose any picture…

    A true synchronisation of all files and folders designated to Proton Drive. Not just photos. For example the Documents folder, the downloads folder or the Desktop. Or any other folder on your device you want synced with Proton Drive.

  3. Markdown copy/paste in Docs

    I would like to be able to preserve formatting when pasting Markdown-formatted text into the Docs editor; conversely, I would like to be able to copy selected text in Markdown format (instead of taking the route of exporting the entire document as an MD file).

  4. Color Indicators for Prioritizing and Organizing Folders

    I use drive to work with employees who are remote. It would be helpful to have a way to color code folders/contents for what I'd like them to work on first.

  5. Unsupported file types opened as text files

    When trying to open a file such as a .bib bibliography that is not supported for online editing, the option to open as a text file would be very useful.
    Similar to how you would open it in notepad ++

  6. fix Proton Drive file sharing interface

    • fix file sharing interface to include file type, size & icons preview
    • disable downloading functionality when set to prohibited
    • make it a dark mode style for eye sensitivities like the browser version
    • make it easy for file control for audio files.

  9. Easy switch for iPhotos

    I'd love to see an easy switch option from Mac's iPhotos to Proton Drive, rather than transferring 100 photos at a time (cumbersome with 1000s of photos!). I'm also noticing that the dates of my photos that I transfer to Proton Drive are inaccurate--would love to improve that.

  10. Make shift-clicking selection boxes allow multiple non-continuous selections like gmail.

    Most software that has selection boxes (eg gmail) allow you to shift click one sequence of files, then shift click another sequence of files and create a non-continuous selection like this: [X][X][X][X][ ][ ][ ][X][X][X].

    It protondrive though, trying to do this causes your first sequence to be replaced by your second. This is a major quality of life issue when sorting a large volume of files

  11. Local Storage on Proton Drive

    Instead of having only a certain amount of cloud storage, I propose a feature where you can use a local drive. For example, Nextcloud and 1 more service have the ability to turn a NAS or a USB in your computer into your own cloud.

  12. Download and upload P2P torrent directly in Proton Drive ?

    Pour des raisons d'efficacité de partage des fichiers et de vitesse de téléchargement, j'aimerais télécharger les torrent dans le drive et les laisser disponibles depuis le drive sans passer par le stockage de mon ordinateur.

  15. Proton Drive Docs: collapsible headings (like Google Docs)

    Collapsible/expandable headings like Google Docs has: by clicking on a small "arrow down" icon next to a heading, all content under that heading collapses (disappears) and reappears by clicking again on the arrow (which now has become an "arrow right"). Of course, when the content disappears, the remaining (still visible) doc content below that heading section moves up (to occupy the space of the disappeared content).
    This allows to hide sections (e.g. on top) that might not be relevant (to the user) but can still occupy a lot of space and force the user to scroll down (where he/she might…

  16. Fixed-Size Progress Window in Proton Drive

    In Proton Drive when uploading a folder, the progress window jumps up and down wildly as it shows more or fewer active or completed files being transferred. Can you make the window stay one size, so it doesn't look so chaotic?

    Better yet, can Proton Drive just show a progress bar next to the folder, instead of a detailed window. Maybe the window with file-by-file info can be hidden in an info button next to the progress bar.

  17. Ignore files using .protonignore (in the same way .gitignore file works)

    I've seen a few people talk about ways to ignore folders when using Proton Drive sync. I think it would be a very helpful idea.

    However, I think that if we have a feature to ignore things, might as well have some flexibility to it. The inspiration would be the .gitignore system. It works well and has been proved and adopted by other systems (Docker for instance).

    My idea for this would be to have it in two ways:

    • Firstly, a global ignore field that lies in the application settings. There I can specify folders and/or paths I want to…

  18. Password Protected Proton Docs

    Proton docs is great, so great that i almost switched immediately. The only feature that i'm missing is a way to password protect single documents. You could even use it as an additional way to protect collaborative projects. Only the people with the password would be allowed to modify the document.

  19. Night Time / Dark Upload Mode - Locked upload mode while sleeping / away from device

    While auto uploading photos on the mobile app it can take some time for the system to complete the task if you have a lot of content.

    The request is to have a option to enable "night time / lock upload mode" so the screen turns to a low black screen with a count of how many items are still needing to be uploaded.

    This allows the user to keep the device active and on while asleep / away from the device but also they do not have to worry about the screens constant updates / brightness.

  20. Proton Docs - Copy/Paste text formatting

    It would be nice to be able to copy/paste formatting in Proton Docs, ex: copying the color/style/etc. of text and pasting it to other sections. In most editors this is 'ctrl + alt + c' and 'ctrl + alt + v'. It's a feature I use heavily, especially when color-coding things, and would do wonders for moving my current workflow into Proton docs.
