    While moving iCloud photos and videos to Proton i cannot playback .mov videos. Please solve this usability issue.

  2. Improve drive sync algorithm to greatly improve performance

    Proton Drive is extremely slow to upload my files, it's going at around ~200 Kbps, whereas speedtest.net shows I can do 3.62 Mbps upload.

    This is especially noticeable when there is a large number of small files to sync (eg, photo collection).

    I suspect that a potential cause is that new threads might be created to upload each individual file, resulting in the unnecessary opening and closing of many connections. Perhaps a better solution would be for each upload thread to establish a continuous connection and then pipe multiple files through that connection as raw data, which can be split…

  5. Improvements for Proton Docs

    Improvements to Proton Docs would allow me to be able to switch to Proton almost exclusively, which would be amazing! Here's some things I'd love to see in Docs:

    • See the borders of my documents (maybe an on-off toggle switch)
    • Ability to adjust margins and print settings before writing
    • Improved tables/grids/graphs
    • Custom line spacing
    • More font options or the ability to import fonts
    • Export Proton Docs to .docx or .pdf, and the ability to convert these file types into Proton and edit them as Proton Docs (like Google Docs does).
    • Offline use

  6. Improvements in documents (save order lists, summary index)

    Using proton docs as default, I have noticed that these problems are being a pain:

    1. Alphabetical or numbered lists lost the order if you add a table, code block or quote in the middle. Too would be great if these blocks will adapt to the line indent, to keep design and structure of the document.

    2. It is not possible to add manually or automatically a summary index to move faster in long documents. At the moment I am using comments, which appear in a sidebar and allow me to move faster.

  7. limit space for shared folders

    Situation:

    The files in a shared folder only take up storage space for the owner of a folder, which is helpful.

    But this may cause other users to accidentally or intentionally use more storage than the owner wants.

    Suggestion:

    The owner of a shared folder can limit the storage space for this folder. This way they can reserve storage space for private use and shared use.

  11. Autotrash. Set a document to automatically trash itself after a set time.

    Sometimes, I am just transfering a document I don't want to accidentally leave in the Drive. If it is shared, maybe I want to guarantee the share ends.

    Please add the option to set a compliance lock on Proton Drive so that users can protect themselves from malware / ransomware.

  14. Photos: Let me choose my grid size and thumbnail aspect ratio on the Android App

    Please add a setting to the Android app that let's me choose the amount of columns in the Photos view myself. Currently it's 3 on my screen, where 4 or 5 would be much more useful for finding photos quickly.

    Also please consider letting me set it to a square aspect ratio for the thumbnails, so I can see more photos on a single screen.

  17. Cache low quality version of photos in mobile app

    It takes several seconds for a preview of the images to be displayed in the gallery. This takes far too long. Especially if you are looking for a specific image among many others. I would recommend caching a low quality version of the images on the mobile app so that they can be displayed directly and the high-resolution version is only loaded after a longer waiting time.

  19. Ergänzung zur ProtonDrive-App für Windows

    Es wäre gut wenn im Sync-Bereich nicht nur "Ordner öffnen" oder "Ordner entfernen" verfügbar wäre, sondern auch wenn die Sync "gekappt" werden könnte OHNE DAS VERZEICHNIS IN DER CLOUD ZU LÖSCHEN.
    Außerdem wäre es gut, wenn man vom Bereich "Computer" Dateien in den "My Files" Bereich kopieren oder verschieben könnte. Die Web-App sollte mit der Desktop-App interagieren können.

  20. Sorting

    Here is a suggestion for an addition to the sorting options in Proton Drive. It would be great if it were possible to choose an option where the folder and files that have been opened most recently appear at the top. This way, the folders and files that are used most frequently would remain at the top of the list.
