Branded download pages for Drive
Hi Team and Community,
As a professional delivering files on the daily, I'd love to see the introduction of a customisable and branded landing page for shared files à-la-WeTransfer, allowing professionals to remain on-brand and professional for file deliveries using Proton Unlimited or other paid tiers (for Drive).
I'm thinking of graphic designers, agencies, photographers, but every B2B/B2C business could benefit from this seemingly easy-to-implement feature.
Suggestions include :
- a custom URL tail,
- adding a background,
- adding a logo,
- adding contact info / socials.Big bonus if you somehow figure out how to let us customise…

Thumbnail support for modern formats, like WebP, HEIF and HEVC
Newer smartphones make use of modern formats for storage of photos and videos. These formats include WebP and HEIF for photos and HEVC and WebM for video. Adding thumbnail and metadata support for these formats allows us to make better use of the albums feature, without having to convert these files before storage.

Ability to navigate into Proton Drive folders in the web app using single-mouse click would be very convenient when navigating a lot of folders back and forth.

Proton Docs: Integrate Lumo + Increase Docs file size!
It would be nice to ask Lumo while working inside Docs to run spellchecks or change the tone of your text etc.
i was working on a document that has alot of images, and suddenly i get an error that the file was getting too large and i couldnt edit anymore.
It seems that Proton Docs has a limit per document of 25mb, seems a bit low compared to competitors? Now i have to split this thing up in multiple parts.
I dont understand why there would be a size limit when Word is practically unlimited, especially for paying users.

Webinterface Uploading: Better handling of unfinished uploads / optimize overwrite option dialog window
Currently, when an upload fails, you probably just want to restart and continue the upload. Imagine you have 300 folders with 17.000 files inside to upload and at some point the upload fails. So you are left alone with a complete file structure but with unknown file completion status.
But if you just try to upload to the same folder structure again (overwrite), it recognizes that the folders are already there, but you only have the option to overwrite EVERYTHING, which can take a lot of time and is not what is needed in this situation. There is no option…5 votes -

Proton Docs / Sheets - Microsoft Format compatibility mode
I’d like to request Microsoft Office format compatibility for Proton Docs and Sheets.
At the moment, I’ve migrated most of my files to Proton Drive, but I still need to keep all my .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx files in Google Drive because Proton does not yet support them natively. Since I work across multiple systems, I rely on these universal file formats for seamless collaboration and interoperability.
It would be extremely valuable to have:
- A compatibility mode similar to Google Docs/Sheets for handling Microsoft formats

Incremental backup
It would be good if the photo backup could be set to only backup new photos rather than all photos every time. Backing up 7800+ photos every time takes forever

Select which folder to sync on different devices
I have several computers that I use with Proton, an Office Desktop, a Lab/Workshop Desktop, a Linux machine, a Laptop, etc. I use Proton Drive main for backups with a small set of shared files. I DO want all devices to sync every file, it would be SO much better if I could set up folders that would only be sync'd on specific devices.
For example:
Office (only sync'd on the office computer)
Workshop (only sync'd on the workshop computer)
Laptop (only sync'd on the laptop)
Windows (only sync'd on the Office, Workshop, and Laptop computers)

Cannot Share Multiple Photos at Once
Today we can share photos one by one.
When I pick a single photo and tap the three little dots in the lower‑right corner, a “Share” button shows up. This lets me send the photo to other apps such as WhatsApp, SMS, etc.
But when I select several photos, there is no way to share them to other apps. That’s really disappointing.6 votes -
Office
I'd love to have better support for Office Documents on Proton Drive (Android / web).
I have to work with Word and Excel at work / school, and I store these files onto Proton Drive.But if I have to review a document on my phone (I do it often with the foldable screen), I have to download it, then open it with another app, and it complicates greatly the operation, since it is now not saved on my Drive.
What's more, I use the standard office Font 'Aptos' and Proton Drive web doesn't recognize it, so I end up…

Proton Drive for Windows Share Function
With Proton Drive for Windows, I can't figure out a way to share a file or folder (invite another Proton user or create a public share link). The share button in the context menu uses Windows' native file sharing, which is not what I'm looking for. My workaround for the time being has been to open up the Proton Drive web interface, navigate to the file/folder in question, and use the share modal. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Allow adding photos from Proton Drive to Albums in the web interface
Currently, there's no way to add photos that are already stored in Proton Drive to Photos when using the web interface. The only options are:
- Use the iOS or Android app
- Upload directly from your computer to Photos
Requested feature: Add the ability to browse Proton Drive and select existing photos/videos to add to an album, directly from the web interface.
Bonus: Ideally, this should work by reference rather than creating a duplicate. Adding a photo from Drive to an album shouldn't consume twice the storage quota.

Consolidated Download Notifications for Multiple Files
When downloading files one by one, the app currently creates a separate notification for each file. This quickly clutters the notification area and makes it inconvenient to track how many files have already been downloaded.
It would be better to group these into a single notification that updates with the current count of downloaded files, or alternatively replaces the previous notification with a new one showing the updated total.

I'd like comment/tag functions for files/photos/videos on the drive
I'd like more options for personalization and organization of files. I'd like to add hyperlinks to sources. Tags for general ideas, like "cats" without needing that to be in the title of the file.

It would be nice to also have preview for photo's in formats that are currently not supported (e.g. HEIC)

Show filesize of an image
Show how much storage space an image takes up. This would be useful in the gallery for clearing up space if you're running out, but it'd also be useful if you have an image open. In the gallery, it could be shown per-image in one of the corners (e.g. "384kiB"), and in the image viewer perhaps next to the date or to the left of the download button.
