  1. General file tagging

    The ability to manually add custom tags to any kind of file or folder, then perform searches using those tags. Would also be very useful in Proton Drive Photos.

  3. Move media between proton drive and proton photos

    As a user, I would like to move media between proton drive and proton photos so that I can upload photos using backup service and move to different drive location and create albums from photos stored in drive.

  4. Sync files/folders only to Proton, exclude from being synced *to other devices*

    It would be super-helpful to be able to mark files and folders so that they cannot be synced to other devices (and are therefore only present on the source system as well as at Proton).

    This could be useful for sensitive data that exist on the source machine, need to be backed up, but also need to be prevented from inadvertently landing on other (perhaps less trusted) machines.

    Implementation is left open here, but could happen in various interesting ways. The most “natural” way I’d see is to navigate to Proton Drive, select a file or folder, then mark it…

    When I quit Proton Drive on my mac, I would love to see the icon disappear from the sidebar of my file window.

  6. superscript/subscript in docs

    I really like proton docs, but one of the things I am really missing is the ability to superscript/subscript in documents. It's especially important for inline citations and I think it would be a very good idea to add them. Others have already mentioned a lot of feedback like dark mode and .odt export, which are also important.

  7. A Proton Drive that actually works

    I would like a Proton Drive that actually works on Windows 11.

    Issues with current Proton Drive:

    -It takes a week to synchronize 1 TB of data, this is absolutely unacceptable. Why is it not able to fully utilize my available internet bandwidth/speed or hard drive speed? Why can't it sync multiple files at a time until these limits are met? It's often faster to simply download the file from the website, but even then, it appears downloads of larger (~100gb) files get throttled or fail entirely.

    When I attempt to use the Proton Drive Windows app, it requests that I select a folder for automatic backup to Proton Drive. However, it will not allow me to select a network drive.

  9. Ability to download Proton Drive to a backup drive on local network

    The ability to save from proton drive to a pc for local storaga and backup. The idea is to be able to tranfer data from a mobile device (phone, table, or another pc) and be able to direct download or save from proton drive to a backup drive locally on one's own network. the current option to select what you want an it get zipped up is just a mirror of google's drive. This option will allow users to aggregate data to proton drive and then down to 1 backup device on their own network not a bunch of zip…

  10. email attachement uploaded to Drive

    Dear Proton team,
    When we receive an email with attachment, it takes space in out email. If there was a possibility that we could upload the email attachment to drive and keep a link in our email and delete the attachment we could use more of our drive space and keep more of Email space.

  11. Print document without link in footer and "Proton Docs Editor" in header of every page

    Right now if you print or download as PDF (which simply uses the same print dialog) the header of each page gets stamped with the date and time and "Proton Docs Editor" and the footer gets stamped with a URL to your document.

    Really disruptive to the experience and makes Proton Docs professionally unusable for printing or sharing PDF documents which is a big deal. I have to export as a Word document and open elsewhere if I want to print and then I might as well just use Word at that point.

  13. Integración sección "Fotos" con "Mis archivos"

    Ahora mismo la sección de Fotos está muy verde y necesita de muchos cambios para considerarla como nativa, aunque estoy haciendo la copia de seguridad pero necesita urgentemente estas cosas:
    - No tiene buscador (por qué??).
    - No tiene línea del tiempo (a introducir en el futuro).
    - No es bidireccional, es decir, si borro una foto en el móvil no se borra de la nube, y tampoco al revés, y es un fastidio porque si subes fotos equivocadas desde el móvil tienes que borrarlas desde los 2 sitios, y puedes tener fotos antiguas que has borrado en el móvil…

    There is just to much top padding on DocumentEditorToolbar.

    Why not make it inline with docs header?

  16. Folder structure

    Add an option in the windows Proton Drive App, to change the folder structure from:
    "Proton Drive/username/My files/DATA I STORE"
    to
    "Proton Drive/DATA I STORE".

    the current folder structure is unnecessary and confusing, the "username/My files" folders are not necessary if you have only one Proton account.

  17. File naming convention

    It would be great,if we had the ability to set our own file naming convention so it would automatically rename files (particularly on iPhones) from IMG_XXX to a date/time format (e.g. YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS when uploading to Proton Drive.

  19. Move files to a different location within proton drive directly, without downloading them

    I would like to move files to a different folder within proton drive without having to download and re-upload them.
    I uploaded a large number of files from a computer I am no longer using. On proton drive they are now stored under this computer, but I would like to integrate them into my other files which are on a differnt computer. The only way I see to do this is to download and re-upload them. It would be more convenient if I could move them directly. Other clouds offer this feature, e.g. on onedrive I can move files and…

  20. Allow "Change Layout" when not logged in.

    Currently when I'm logged in and viewing a folder of pictures in Drive, the default view is tiled thumbnails, which is great. And I can toggled to a list view by clicking "Change Layout" in the top right.

    However, when I create a public link and view the page when not logged in, the default view is a list and there is no option to "Change Layout." So the only way to see what the pictures are is to individually preview them.
