Feature: allow for password protected folders and photo albums
Many different services offer password protected folders, I think this could be a great addition for password protected folders and albums.

Writing @today in Proton Docs automatically includes today's date or a date picker.
I propose a feature where writing @today automatically includes today's date. The date can then be selected and show a calendar to change dates.
This feature helps speed up daily standup date inclusions in a doc to organize our meeting notes.
This feature already exists for example in Google Docs and is a great time saver.

(Sheets) Organize Sheet Tabs
Right now sheet tabs are organized by chronological order, when I manually reorganize them, that order does not save and goes back to chronological. Would nice a nice feature to organize manually.

Add "copy link" feature to any file or folder without forcing the owner to share with others or set additional password
One great feature of Google Drive is the ability of copy a link to a file or folder, even if the owner doesnt share it to anyone.
This is particularly helpful when the owner needs to reference a specific file/folder in a (for instance) trello card, or documentation for his own use.
Force the user to add an additional password or, worse, share with others so it can get a link adds unnecessary complexity and security risks, in this use case.2 votes -
Proton Sheets MCP / API
I’d love MCP/API access for Proton Sheets so ChatGPT, Claude, and eventually Lumo can make direct, fast changes to spreadsheets.
I’m increasingly moving back to Excel simply because AI tools can work with it much more effectively. Computer use in Proton Sheets is significantly slower and becomes impractical for larger transformations compared with simply uploading an Excel file to ChatGPT, Claude, or Lumo.
Direct MCP/API access would make Proton Sheets much more competitive for AI-assisted workflows.

Allow download of Photos via Proton Drive Windows app
For photos that are stored in Proton Drive allow these to be downloaded via the Proton Drive Windows app and made available offline. This will allow me to store a copy of my phones on my PC.

Provide a mirroring function which produces two identical file structures on two pcs. This way all references between different files in the structure are valid on both pc s.

Mass copy and paste in proton sheets
It would be extremely useful to be able to copy large multiple of cells and paste them where ever you need eg. copying cells a1 to a8 and pasting the data in cells b10 to b18 or copying cells a1 to d5 and pasting them on another sheet.

Restricted permissions for PATs
With the Drive SDK currently under development, now is the perfect time to integrate a key feature regarding Drive Personal Access Tokens (PATs). It is essential that PATs can be granted individual read and/or write permissions and, furthermore, be restricted to specific directories.
For example, I might want to create a PAT that allows read and write access only within the "videos/" directory (and, naturally, any of its subdirectories), while having read access to other directories completely blocked.
This granular control will address most of the potential security issues that could arise from the gradual opening up of the system…

more editing options for proton docs.
The proton docs is pretty okay in my opinion, But there should be more options such as any size you want instead of fixed ones and more colors for highlighting and typing in and like being able to put images anywhere instead of a fixed area. If proton can do this i would be more than happy to further explain my idea in more depth and detail and scketh. Thank you to the privacy proton community and proton company for having this special place

A Shared drive for company use
We have started to use Proton in our company next to Google. As long as it is still not fully functional in the same way we will keep things next to eachother. At least supporting the product development of Proton by having a paid subscription!
A small step in the right direction would be to have proper Shared Drives that are 'company owned' instead of user owned. And where you can jointly keep data stored.

Simple "record" macros/scripts in Sheets
Please add recordable macros to let us automate simple repeated tasks in Sheets, for instance by recording a sequence of actions. And be able to save it, edit it, and assign a hot-key to it.
This simple but basic ability in "Not Evil, Really, We Swear" Drive/Sheets has recently been moved behind a paywall.
I can still run my old macros, but I can't edit them (for instance, to edit which rows or columns are being sorted).3 votes -
Make Dropdown Menus in Proton Sheets More Usable
Something akin to Google Sheets dropdown menus would be greatly appreciated. Separating by selected cell range instead of the whole sheet like one person said, the ability to select multiple options from the dropdown menu, edit how the dropdown appears (bubble, carrot, nothing, etc.), and other features that Google sheets has. This is the only other thing keeping me with google sheets right now because their dropdown menus are my lifeblood.

Create share link for folders & files from within the desktop app
Currently, to create a share link you have to visit drive via web browser to create a shareable link. It would be great if this feature was available either on the desktop app, or in the right-click dropdown menu like dropbox provides.

Allow syncing to same folder location for multiple windows/macOs/linux user accounts
I am working with two different user accounts on my windows machine. One for work, one for personal stuff. I want to use the Proton Drive for both accounts. Unfortunately when I tried to set up Proton Drive on the second account to sync with the same folder I got an error message instead:
"Invalid sync folder: The folder must be empty before setting up sync"It wouldn't make any sense to choose a different folder and have everything twice on my computer

Shooting for the moon here, but if Proton Drive could include some sort of electronic signature feature to send documents to folks by email (within or outside Proton) to request a legally valid signature (think DocuSign), that would take care of a big need for professionals using Proton for their practice.

Proton Docs - Auto shift-enter on new line
It would just be nice to not have the doc add all the extra space when I press enter. I'd much rather press enter twice if I want that. This currently genuinely doesn't feel good to use.

Option to make drive folders (containing photos) visible in the photos album section
While there are many similar tickets regarding this topic, i just wanted to add my specific request, ignoring the often posed usefulness question of treating the photos section completely separate to the overall file section.
With this current structure in place, I would love to have the option to mark whole folders in "files", making them visible in the Photos Album section. In my case, I store my Photo backups in Proton Drive, organized by a certain folder structure. (mostly organized by year/location/event) While i don't want to clutter my photo album section with all these photos stored in Files,…
