Create/Edit excel files in Proton Drive (EcoSystem)
It would be nice to edit/create excel files within the Proton Drive suite.
Same functionality as https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive, but then also for Excel instead of Word documents.

Add more Proton Drive integrations
Add the possibility to connect more devices to Drive, I have recently been using a Remarkable device and noticed that it can integrate to Google drive and Microsoft Onedrive, and I was wondering if Proton drive could be connected in a similar way to similar devices and services.

Proton Docs or Proton Notes with handwriting input support
There is no real great privacy respecting note taking or journaling app out there that supports handwriting input using Apple Pencil or some other stylus. Most don’t support handwriting at all, including Proton Docs and Standard Notes, and the few that do aren’t great from a privacy standpoint. Most rely on Dropbox or iCloud.
Journaling or sketch writing is an inherently hand written process. Even jotting down notes in meetings.
It would be wonderful to see Proton adopt support for inputting handwritten test using an Apple Pencil/other stylus. This could be where Proton Docs/Notes acts as a blank canvas like Apple Notes or GoodNotes, or simply has a top-notch handwriting to typed text conversion process.

Stop sharing file or folder uploading username
It would be great if you could stop having a statement of who uploaded the folder and files to every file and folder put into the drive.
And therefore any file or folder which is shared access.
Currently the drive is using the original username unnecessarily.
Please can you set it up, so you can select that this information is removed, or able to turn off as information shared, as a preference.1 vote -
Add “Download a Copy” Option Without Changing Online-Only Status
Please add a “Download a copy” option to the Proton Drive desktop app. This should download the selected file to a user-chosen location, such as the Desktop, while keeping the original Proton Drive item online-only. Currently, opening or copying an online-only file changes it to Available on this device, requiring users to manually select Free up space afterward. A separate download command would make this workflow faster and more intuitive. Thank you!

Sheets Should be able to open and edit .ods and .xlsx files without having to create a whole new file.
When I go to open a .ods or .xlsx file, Proton Drive creates an entirely new file and then opens that file to edit. This then abandons the .ods or .xlsx file and all new edits only show on the newly created file that opened in Sheets. This is inconvenient when some of my editing is being done on Proton Sheets and some on Libre Office Calc or Microsoft Excel. As a small business manager, we cannot adopt Proton Sheets in part for this reason.

Do not upload duplicate files
When I upload a file that already exists with the same name in the same folder, it is uploaded with a sequential number added. It would be better to do as other competitors do, i.e. warn that the file already exists and ask whether to upload it as a duplicate or not.

FSP (File Storage Provider) support for iOS and iPadOS
There is support for FSP on macOS for Proton Drive, however it is missing for both iOS and iPadOS. The consequence is that I cannot add a Proton folder as location in for example iA Writer. The net effect is that any file stored on Proton Drive that I want to open, must be manually found through browsing from the root of my Proton Drive. With FSP support on iOS and iPadOS any folder should be available immediately in the interface.
The missing part in the implementation is full folder sharing support in said protocol.
It works flawlessly on macOS. Make it work across the Apple ecosystem.

Please wheter use the onlyoffice interface for your doc and sheet or/and make sure ONLYOFFICE can connect to proton drive. Thanks (Pro User)

Better photo management
It would be great to have another layer of privacy for the 'photos' tab. When I go to the 'photos' tab, all my pictures are out in the open. Anyone behind me can easily see them. The album section is the same because it shows a thumbnail. It would be good if we could:
1. create private folders to store photos in or make certain photos private
2. add an additional layer before looking at pictures. (like 'My files' - you can create a folder before seeing your files)

50 GB and 100 GB Plans
There should be an option to buy 50 GB and 100 GB Plans at an affordable cost. People from lower income countries are not getting the benefit of privacy oriented Proton Services due to high cost. Kindly consider it and make plans affordable for us. We are bound to use google drive right now as we have no other affordable alternative.

Proton Drive , run as a service at computer start up
Is it possible to setup Proton Drive as a service at computer startup?
Or give the ability that it can be configured that way with a program like Firedaemon Pro ? I have a remote computer gathering weather data 24/7, I have now to login after a restart to start Proton Drive.2 votes -
Multi-selection for dropdown menus in Sheets
Only one selection can be made for dropdown menus. In Google Drive, multi-selection is possible. I need this option to make the switch.

Limit date range on photos backup
Currently the photos backup feature for proton drive appears to be "all or nothing", uploading all photos on a device at once. It would be very convenient to be able to set a date range for backup (or really, set any parameters controlling which photos get backed up).
