  1. Provide a simple Proton Text in addition to the implemented bloated Proton Docs

    Unfortunately is a general trend to "develop" things, to make them more and more complicated and bloated. For some reasons developers consider this "improvements". But in most of the cases they are not! On the contrary: these "improvements" only creates problems for users and not only. Since if I need an application to have a certain feature, it is a problem if that application has a hundred of other features that I do not need at all: this means a lot of more resources, bandwidth, energy, memory, time, annoyance, I have to learn totally unnecessary things, etc. And last but…

  2. Custom Watermark generator

    It could be great to have an option to edit any documents stored in proton drive to apply a custom watermark on it.

    This way we could store safely any important documents and we can easily protect them if we need to upload them in some unsafe platforms.

    The French gouvernement already propose a service like that but still I hate to be forced to upload important content on service I don't trust.

  3. Proton Docs real download from proton drive client

    Proton doc files are not actually downloaded to disk with the Proton Drive Desktop client. They are 0 bytes in size. As a result, our files are only on the Proton servers, which is a real problem. Having the Proton Doc files physically on our hard disk with the Proton Drive client is absolutely necessary to manage our data. Since Proton Doc seems to be a proprietary format, being able to choose the format of the files when they are synchronized would be a plus.

  4. Proton Doc bulk download from web app

    We can't download several proton docs at the same time from the web app. It would be nice to be able to download all the proton doc files in a folder at once and integrate them into the download requests for a parent folder. Adding an option to choose the export format would also be useful.

  5. Drive (1) - Faster Transfer Speeds

    The current transfer speeds are woefully inadequate, alas, and most especially the download speed. This is not to noticeable with smaller files of perhaps a few MB or even a few 10s of MB, but with larger files around 1GB and more, it can become a struggle.

    So, better speeds ASAP please.

  6. subfolder

    When selecting folders for backup, provide for selecting only certain subfolders. Then any subfolders that are system folders which are not capable of being backed up, can be taken out. This is problem there are dozens of subfolders to be backed up, but one or two other folders are system folders and can not be backed up.

  7. Proton Drive VAULT / ARCHIVE area that is cloud only and excluded from all app sync operations.

    It would be desirable that a part of your Proton Drive that should only be in the cloud and not visible to the app.

    Currently the Windows app syncs everything:
    * Everything in the directories that you select is uploaded
    * Everything in the "My Files" can be accessed from desktop by cloud stubs that the app creates.

    It would desirable to be able to select what you want from Proton Drive storage to be visible to your Win desktop. This could be done several ways:
    * The app have a button with the options of syncing/not syncing your Proton…

  8. Better audio/video support on iOS

    There seems to be a huge focus on photos, but audio and video are important as well! Add features to more easily listen to albums or watch videos, e.g.,

    • When I'm listening an album with mp3s, the audio stops after each song and I need to manually download and select the next song.
    • Many audio/formats are not supported at all.

  11. Make shared files (from other users) accessible through the shared tab.

    Make shared files (from other users) transferable into the shared folder of the receiver for easier continuous access on long term projects - each time i close the drive i have to access the link in the email again. I do not want to download work files to my system for ongoing reference use.

  13. Choose photo sync folder per device

    Hello,

    It would be good to allow the user to select the folder where Photos are synced to for each device, as done by other services.

    This would be particularly useful when a user possesses more than one mobile device and wishes to keep the photos of each of those devices separate from the others.

    Example:
    Mobile 1: PhotoFolder1
    Mobile 2: PhotoFolder2
    Mobile 3: PhotoFolder1

  14. Upload files from App

    Allow the app to selectively upload files, not synchronize from a device. The current iteration of Proton Drive is not useful for backing up, because if a file gets deleted locally, the change synchronizes to Proton Drive. Therefore, it is useless.

  15. Do not occupy storage when files are deleted in the Trash.

    Give us an option to auto-delete trash after 30 days, and at the same time, do not occupy storage when we delete files. That is, do not occupy storage when files are in the trash temporarily for 30 days. One drive, Google Drive, and many other cloud storage systems work this way. If you implement this, then Proton Drive will be the best of the best. Please send this feedback to your team and developers.

  16. Include additional directories in the photos backup

    Users should have an option to include additional directories besides /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera
    A few examples being:
    Screenshots directory - /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Screenshots
    Screen recordings directory - /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Screen Recordings
    Legacy camera directory - /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/100ANDRO

    My examples are from an Android perspective, but I'm sure iPhone users would benefit from this option as well.

    Ich habe meinen Computer mit Proton Drive synchronisiert.
    Auf der Android App habe ich zugriff auf die Sektion Computer.
    Öffne ich KeePassDX oder Keepass2Android, kann ich nur auf meine Proton Drive Dateien zugreifen. Hier fehlt die Sektion Computer.
    Bei Google Drive ist das auch so, aber dort kann man Dateien "markieren" und erhält so Zugriff.

  20. Add additional storage to an existing subscription. +1 TB = +...$/month +2 TB = +...$/month and so on
