Allow hiding the user email in Proton Docs to avoid leaking personal data
When sharing a document created in Proton Drive with another person, if the Proton user makes a comment, the original email of the account e.g., user@protonmail.com is leaked. This is a problem in my view, particularly when an inbox has multiple aliases and domains and the user does not want to leak their personal Proton email. Please allow users to hide this information altogether when sharing documents or at least choose which alias to display. Thanks.

Allow Proton Photos to index photos stored in Drive folders
Problem: I currently manage my large photo archive in folders, grouped per year, so I am not depending on one photo library (like Apple Photo's).
Wish: Let Proton Dive index photo's from such folders, so users can use both the folder structure as well as the Photo gallery. Allow users to mark one or more Drive folders as "Photo folders". Proton Photos should automatically index the supported media files inside those folders while preserving the original folder structure.
Currently, it looks like photo's uploaded in folders to Drive, are considered as 'files' and not indexed as 'photo's'.
Result: More flexibility…

Proton Docs need a search feature on mobile
The mobile Proton Docs experience needs a search feature. Otherwise using long documents on the mobile is very painful.

Add a "start" button for the 10 first minutes (maybe the user just wanted to download the app and login and has an important appointment or is not at home or does not have the external medium with all the data). Maybe also a "break" button (for example if the post is ringing or there is food on the table (in families) or the house animal is crazy).

Proton Brain: Zero-Knowledge Second Brain with Card UI (Like MyMind)
Made with Lumo...
Build a privacy-first PKM app that combines MyMind's frictionless card interface with Proton's zero-knowledge encryption.
THE PROBLEM:
Existing second-brain tools force you to choose between privacy and usability:
- Notion/Evernote: Great UX but no encryption, data harvested for AI
- Obsidian: Privacy-focused but DIY sync, no built-in AI
- MyMind: Beautiful card UI but opaque privacy practices
- Standard Notes: Encrypted but dated interface, no visual organizationTHE SOLUTION:
Proton Brain—a card-based knowledge system where everything you save (notes, links, images, PDFs, emails) becomes a single unified card in an infinite grid. No folders required. No manual…5 votes -
"Move to trash" option inside the album view
At the time of writing there is no way to move to the trash photos while previewing them inside an album. This makes deleting photos very annoying because I have to scroll to the date in the timeline where the photo was taken to actually delete it. I'd strongly suggest to enable the "move to trash" function when working with album elements.

Improve Downloading and uploading speed
i know that proton drive has robust security and i think that is why probably the download and uploading speed is very slow compared to other solutions like mega. Proton Drive would be top notch with a more robust server speed. i think that 50 MB/s would be very good starting point for example.

Share file, but don't allow download or screenshot
Changes to the share file in proton drive that allows people to view, but not download a file to retain ownership of data but allow others to verify.
Could be useful when sharing identity documents, contracts etc, but you don't necessarily want others to keep a copy of the data.
Would also be nice to use some form of browser DRM protection to prevent screenshots as well.

Customize currency and date formatting
Unlink the currency and date formatting from the region you have selected. I need to work across currencies and have personal preferences on date formatting. Now every time I open a sheet the dates and currencies are wrong which makes it impossible to do financial moddelling in proton sheets

Bulk actions: select all for multi-select operations.
Metadata editing: modify photo date and album.Duplicate handling: choose skip, replace, or keep both when duplicates are detected.

Shared documents where people access Suggesting only (without accessing Editing)
When sharing a document with people (through email link at least) I can make them an Editor or a Viewer. If they are an Editor they can Edit and Suggest. I'd like to give access only to Suggest, and leave me the owner as the only one who can accept the suggestions or make edits. This would make a lot of sense to me.
I would like to be able to make someone a Viewer or an Editor or a Suggester. Three separate roles that I can assign to their name/email.5 votes -
