  1. Feature Request: "Amnesia Bridge" – Cross-Chat Context Retrieval

When chats close due to resource limits, all invested context is lost. Users must re-upload files and start from scratch—wasting time and compute.

Proposal: Let users selectively pull context from older chats into active conversations: "Lumo, check our chat from last week for what we found about XY." -> the desired feature is similar to "websearch" - just scoping the own (internal) activities.

Optional: User tagging of important chats for quicker discovery.

Why it fits: Same privacy model, just extended. Decryption stays client-side, metadata stays user-controlled and encrypted. No server-side indexing.

Impact: Better session continuity, no redundant uploads, preserves invested…

  3. In-Chat Search with Navigation (Next/Previous) & Highlighting

While browser shortcuts like Ctrl+F can search the currently visible text, they lack integration and advanced features needed for long conversations. I request a dedicated "Search in this chat" function built directly into the Lumo interface.

    Specific requirements:

A native search bar within the chat thread (not relying on browser tools).
Typing a keyword jumps directly to the relevant message(s) within the current thread.
    Highlight all matches visually.
Navigation controls: "Next" and "Previous" buttons to cycle through multiple matches efficiently.
Ideally, a counter showing "Match X of Y".
This is a critical usability feature for power users who treat Lumo…

  4. Project Knowledge Preview adjustable width on lumo.proton.me

Right now when I preview project knowledge in Lumo on lumo.proton.me, the preview shows up in a side bar. However, the side bar can't be adjusted in width. With the project folder in full screen on most monitors, there is a LOT of extra real-estate. I'd be nice if the frame used to display this preview was adjustable in width so I could use that free real-estate.

  5. Export and Import of Custom Lumos

It would be nice to export already created Custom Lumos and import them again. This way i can give other people my Custom Lumos and they can import it instead of creating them from scratch.

  6. Label/display costs (token, Wh, fiat) for budgeting, and timestamps

"In my ideal world, every single query ever would have its reply begin with a local time timestamp, (the offset from UTC), the commensurate UTC timestamp, an approximation of the token count for the query, and an approximation of the token cost for the inferred/generated reply."

"it would help us users see exact e.g. "Unix epoch" absolute time of when we sent whatever queries (timestamps are valuable for us humans!!), as well as begin getting a feel for usage and consumpiton, in the same ways that over the past decades many of us have become familiar with approximately how…

  7. Screenshot -> Proton Drive + directly added in Lumo's chat/project

WARNING: what i am suggesting does exist if you use "change destination" of the screenshot program you use to save the images in a Proton Drive folder that will upload the pictures and so on. So please understand that what i will suggest is actually MORE then this and it's DIRECTLY linked to Lumo. AKA no, this is NOT a proton Drive suggestion => NO this is NOT a duplicate of existing suggestion exactly because i am suggesting MORE.

    That is also why:
I will NOT explain in details why it's needed because it's absurd to assume that you even…

  8. Scalable Vector Graphics (svg) Support

Currently, Lumo can read html files, and SVGs can be read inside HTML files. But Lumo can't load an SVG file.

I would like to see support for uploading SVG files to Lumo chats. It already (kinda) has this support via HTML files, so why not SVG files themselves?

I think it would be really cool to see the ability to generate SVGs also, similar to images. Currently Lumo can do this already (treating it like SVGs in HTML) but I think with a bit of attention it could generate some really good SVGs.

  10. AI-powered billing verification for construction (delivery notes + measurement = invoice)

I'm a construction site manager in landscaping (GaLaBau). Our industry software (greenGALA 8, BAUSU) is purely static – it generates output but performs no automated checks or reconciliations. Every verification is done manually: data entry, Excel cross-checks, triple manual control, handwritten delivery note sorting, and final invoice plausibility checks.

The core billing equation in construction is: Delivery notes + Measurement = Invoice. There is currently no tool that automates this reconciliation across the entire chain.

Three areas where AI support would create massive value:

    1. Delivery note processing – Delivery notes are often barely legible: handwritten, dirty, incomplete, filled out on-site.…

  11. Allow Lumo to use it's general memory inside of projects (or at least an option to toggle this)

Lumo's new memory feature is great, but if we had the option to allow Lumo to use the general memory it gets from our chats inside of projects, that could be really helpful for not having to repeat the same information multiple times, and potentially cut down on time spent tuning the memory in the project to what is needed.

  12. Option to hide microphone button in chat box

It would be great to have a toggle that lets users remove the microphone button from the chat box. Not everyone uses voice input, and having the option to hide it would keep things cleaner, especially on mobile where accidental taps happen. A simple on/off switch in settings would be helpful.

  13. Bring Ghost Mode button back to the main chat homepage

The Ghost Mode button was originally on the chat homepage, making quick access easy. Now moved to the Lumo side menu, it requires an extra step. While the side menu is tidy, it lessens the feature's visibility and slows the workflow for users who frequently rely on Ghost Mode.

It would be great if Proton could restore the Ghost Mode button to the main chat homepage, near the "New chat" button, while optionally keeping a duplicate in the side menu for consistency. Alternatively, it would add a setting that allows users to choose where the Ghost Mode button appears.

  14. Allow per-project memory with general chat memory disabled

Enable per-project memory while keeping general chat memory off. This is ideal for users who use general/ghost chats as a scratchpad and want to have memory active only for project chats within their folders.

  15. Share Lumo Response

Most other LLM apps have a share icon at the end of a response. When click, a link is generated that points to the response in the conversation. Proton can implement this feature and use the link permissions that exist in Proton Drive. A user could set a default permission policy in the app.

I use this feature extensively to combat misinformation shared with me by asking Grok, for example, "Is this true?" along with a URL. I then share a link to my AI response result as a source of my research.

  16. Make Lumo an agentic coding tool (Xcode)

Make Lumo an agentic coding agent for Xcode, right alongside Claude Agent and Codex. Through MCP, Lumo could plug natively into Xcode's workflow — rummaging through Swift projects, pawing at documentation, updating build settings, sniffing out bugs, and iterating on Previews until everything is purr-fect.

Xcode 26.3 opening up its capabilities through the Model Context Protocol — an open standard, no less — this feels like a purr-tunity too good to miss. Why should only two cats get to nap in that sunbeam?

    Let's make app development purr-fectly pawsome !

  17. Confirm Add Visual Confirmation When Copying Response Text

Currently, when clicking the Copy button (located next to the 👍/👎 reaction buttons at the end of each response), there's no visual feedback confirming the action was successful. Users sometimes navigate away to paste and discover nothing copied to their clipboard.
Requested Solution: Add a brief visual confirmation after clicking Copy, such as:
    * A "Copied!" toast/snackbar message that appears for 2–3 seconds
    * Button text temporarily changing to "✓ Copied"
    * Subtle animation or color change on the button itself
User Impact: This would eliminate confusion, reduce frustration, and build trust in the feature—especially helpful for users relying on…

  18. Support for audio and creative file formats (.wav, .als, etc.)

When working on music production projects (Ableton Live), I can't upload the files I actually use:

.wav files are rejected — drag and drop returns "Unsupported file type"
.als files are greyed out in the file picker
I chose Lumo Plus because privacy matters for my creative work, but I can't even load the files I work with. Could support for common audio/creative formats be added?

  19. Allow third-party orchestrators (e.g., OpenCode, Goose)

Add support for external integration via standardized LLM API endpoints, allowing third-party orchestrators (e.g., OpenCode, Goose) to route requests through Lumo as the underlying language model provider.

  20. Provide a Lumo CLI

Proton should provide a Command Line Interface (CLI) to Lumo, similar to competitors's CLI tools like Claude and Gemini. There is an existing idea here [1], however that one is specific to a coding assistant. That's great, but other uses (like summarizing local text files, processing local images, etc. within a terminal) would also be very helpful and appreciated.
