  1. Lumo - remembering instructions

at this stage it feels like I have been speaking to somebody that has incredibly short-term memory. I just can't do it right now. In order for this to be the powerhouse that I know it can be. It needs to have the best of both worlds from Claude and ChatGPT to be honest. Between the memory and ability to remember the full conversation as it's happening and be able to just keep up with what's being said.

  2. Extend Lumo to have integrated TTS/STT for full Voice Interaction

For general Chat, its really nice to be able to have a conversation using voice rather than keyboard. And while I know that the Android/IOS apps offers STT, its unfortunate that I have to use the phones TTS to complete the loop. For my tablet and/or webbrowser a full TTS/STT feature would be nice.

  3. Ability to rename conversations with Lumo

I can do this with ChatGPT and Deepseek, but not with Lumo, and it's a lot better to have a short concise way to ID my conversations rather and a string of text that is hidden because I keep lumo on a smaller window.

  4. Report Carbon equivalent footprint of a user requests

I think I do not have to explain that energy consumption of LLMs even doing only inférence is high.
Since Proton has always promoted transparency over source code of its tools, I believe it should also pioneer transparency on this matter.
There exist libraries to wrap function calls and estimate co2 équivalent (e.g. mlco2)

  5. Search not just Lumo chats titles but also content

The sidebar allows searching in chat titles, but I am unable to easily find on how to search in the chats content (in my questions and Lumo replies). I am aware that i can use browser Ctrl+F to search in current chat, but not in all available chats).

    Ideas:
    - after you type the search query, maybe hitting enter can execute search in content.
    - content search included by default, only the matches in chat titles will be displayed on the top of the search results

clicking on a content search result, should jump to a correct place in the…

  6. Support MCP Integration

Lumo should support the use of Model Context Protocol servers in a fashion similar to Claude Desktop. This should be done with DXT, the Desktop Extensions package format, for ease of support. It would be acceptable if Proton were to select a limited number of offerings in this area. There MUST be a developer option where we are permitted to use the direction JSON configuration and any available server, but this should be community forum supported, with no direct assistance from Proton.

I have been evaluating the offerings in this space the last two months and I released an MCP…

  7. Add Lumo Plus to one of your bundle deals

Currently you can only pay for Lumo Plus as a standalone product. Would be nice if it could bundled with Proton Mail or different tier of Proton Unlimited

  8. Lumo Conversation Mode

It would be amazing for Lumo to have a full conversation mode, similar to other LLM apps, where you are able to speak to Lumo, Lumo will realize you are done speaking and reply, and then wait for your next reply...etc.

  9. Speech-to-text (use mic for desktop version)

To dictate vague ideas and concepts while your browser captures the stream of thoughts is a real time saver and I feel enhances the experience of collaborating with the AI agent. I would really like to use my Mic with the desktop version of Lumo.

  10. Code editor

It would be nice if the codeblock Lumo uses would be an interactive code editor.
Right now if I ask Lumo to change part of my code it also tends to rewrite other parts of code which I didnt ask it to do. With an interactive code editor I would be able to select a part of the code and make a prompt just about that selected part. Or I could edit the code myself if I dont like something without having to copy paste the whole code again to Lumo to let it know I edited something. This wouldn't…

  11. Dark app icon for Lumo

All the other Proton apps have an icon for light and dark mode. I think it would be great to have a dark icon for Lumo since it only has a light icon.

  13. lumo as a search engine

I would love to be able to set lumo as a search engine so I can search in the top bar of my browser, basically just allowing a new question to be made similar to lumo.proton.me/&q=what+can+i+do+near+NYC

  14. Feature Request: Integrate Lumo into Proton Docs for Intelligent Writing Assistance

    Dear Proton team,

I’d like to propose adding Lumo as an integrated writing assistant within Proton Docs. By leveraging Lumo’s advanced language‑model capabilities, users could:

    • Automatically scan documents for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and style inconsistencies.

    • Receive contextual suggestions to improve clarity, tone, and overall readability.

    • Benefit from the same AI‑driven assistance currently offered by the Scribe assistant in Proton Mail, but applied directly to collaborative documents.

This integration would enhance the productivity of Proton Docs users, reinforce Proton’s commitment to privacy‑first AI tools, and create a seamless experience across the Proton ecosystem.

  15. I would like to see Lumo become as good as ChatGPT is today.

It’s hard to avoid using LLMs now - they work, and they help a great deal in a very demanding world. But something as good as ChatGPT is also a direct link between a corporation and my brain (unfortunately, it’s one-way only). Over time, they’ll have enough information about me - my work, my character, my hobbies, my thoughts… if they don’t already. That gives them a computer-brain interface, one that can be used to program my mind (if you’re into neuroscience and brain chemistry, you’ll know what I’m talking about). After all, people are programmed by their environment-and more…

  17. ghost mode (and/or web search) saved

    Hi there,

after I started using Lumo for a while, I like to use the ghost mode by default. However, under current setting (both on webpage and on Android app) I have to switch Lumo to ghost mode (and turn on web search) every time. Can we make it a setting to use the ghost mode (and/or web search) by default? It will save a lot of effort.

    Thanks.

By the way, I like Lumo very much. After I found it, it became my main AI assistance.

  19. Please list reference links for various parts of the answer

It would be great if the Lumo AI would include web links with all answers referencing where answers came from and/or where further direct research could be carried out. Perplexity offers this functionality and I really like it because it allows you to put a little more trust in the quality of the answers.
