Liquid Glass Integration iOS 26 Lumo App
Liquid Glass integration would make the already pretty Lumo iOS 26 application look top-notch and even better than it already does. I’m pitching the benefits of it in an upcoming document to them but I’ve seen how Liquid Glass looks on apps already and if it could be implemented into the Lumo App on iOS you are already another step in the door towards becoming one of the top AI assistants in the Apple App Store by implementing this and the respective “visual flair” that it provides. This would make the app HIGHLY polished — more so than it already…

Add secure tool support to Lumo for file creation, previews, and integrations
Dear Proton Community and Development Team,
I would like to suggest expanding Lumo with secure tool support so it can become more useful for practical daily work.
At the moment, an AI assistant is most valuable when it can not only answer questions, but also help users create, organize, preview, and export work in a controlled and privacy-respecting way.
Suggested tool improvements:
File creation and export
Lumo should be able to create files such as text documents, tables, simple presentations, ZIP archives, or structured project files and offer them as downloads.Secure preview features
Lumo could provide previews for generated…

VSCode integration
Other LLM's like ChatGPT and Claude have integration with VSCode. It would be great to see an integration for that or another opensource IDE.
The most amazing thing would be if you can replace all the things most people use day to day with apps and have full support on Linux.

Share Lumo Response
Most other LLM apps have a share icon at the end of a response. When click, a link is generated that points to the response in the conversation. Proton can implement this feature and use the link permissions that exist in Proton Drive. A user could set a default permission policy in the app.
I use this feature extensively to combat misinformation shared with me by asking Grok, for example, "Is this true?" along with a URL. I then share a link to my AI response result as a source of my research.

Lumo Integration to Read Encrypted Emails, Calendar, via On-Device Processing
I want an AI assistant (Lumo) that can automatically read my Proton Mail inbox and execute actions based on preset rules (e.g., sorting, summarizing, drafting replies, flagging urgent items, consolidating multiple emails into one for review). I understand this requires on-device processing to maintain zero-access encryption. Currently, I have to manually copy/paste emails. An automated, privacy-preserving workflow would be a game-changer for productivity. Lumo needs more gemini like functionality in the Proton product space.

Lumo Scheduling Automation
I went down the rabbit hole of trying to create a scheduled web search on specifict topics. Lumo repeatedly told me it had automation to do this but when I tried to set it up it ended up apologising each time saying it got a bit excited but can't do what it said it could...
Functionality request - automation that will run a scheduled task/search/etc8 votes -
Chat Branching
Google's Gemini lets you create a branch off of any of the LLM's responses. This allows you to take the conversation in multiple different directions.
Gemini just creates a new chat for each branch, but I would appreciate if Lumo made the branch chats a child of the original chat for organizational purposes.

Enable Lumo to run locally
Enable to run Lumo models locally on a computer or laptop, this would enable users to better handle private information, increace speeds (by not needing to have the data travel across the internet continuously) and reduce load on Proton servers.
This could happen with a standalone app or integrating it with other systems such as LM Studio or Msty Studio10 votes -
Language correction button for Lumo with categories
Add a "Report Language Error" button in the Lumo chat interface that lets users flag language issues directly. After clicking, users choose a category:
Strict — Pure nonsense/incorrect term. Generates a corrected, academically accurate response.
Synonym — Suggest an alternative word/phrase and context where it fits better. Helps Lumo understand nuance, register and topic-specific synonyms.
Humoristic — Witty alternatives and wordplay. Helps Lumo learn humor and puns in the local language (especially useful for users with a "Casual/Cheeky" Lumo personality).
This feeds into Proton's language improvement pipeline, helping Lumo and Scribe produce more natural, localized output — especially for smaller…

Please add Biometric (fingerprint) unlock to Lumo
Please add Biometric (fingerprint) unlock to Lumo (and Calendar), it and Calendar seem to be the only Proton apps that do not have this feature.

Import chat history from other LLM
Please allow us to import chat history from other big commercial cloud hosted LLMs to ease transition and not lose all the information prior LLMs gleaned from us, what we are doing, what is important to us, etc.

Automatic calendar for displaying contact birthdays
Please add automatic calendar for displaying contact birthdays. This is a feature in Google Calendar and is the only reason I still hang on to that app

Dark app icon for Lumo
All the other Proton apps have an icon for light and dark mode. I think it would be great to have a dark icon for Lumo since it only has a light icon.

Add tools to Lumo so Lumo can gather info from content sources
Beside the info provided in prompt, Lumo currently has these data sources: Web search, Proton Drive (.txt, .md, .csv, .pdf), and file upload.
It makes Lumo more powerful if multiple data collecting tools can be added to Lumo. For example, from Proton Mail, from Proton Calendar, from Standard Notes (part of Proton ecosystem).
Non-Proton sources could be: Google Drive, OneDrive. These can be done by APIs of these services.

Copy Lumo response as markdown
Copying a Lumo response presently comes out as plain text (stripped down of formatting).
Another button (or the same one with a dropdown option) could enable copying down the actual markdown formatting shown on screen instead.
Essential when drawing up documents.
The workaround today: copy the text, paste it into a new Proton Doc, and then copy as markdown from there. So it is feasible. The workaround is just cumbersome.3 votes -
Speech-to-text (use mic for desktop version)
To dictate vague ideas and concepts while your browser captures the stream of thoughts is a real time saver and I feel enhances the experience of collaborating with the AI agent. I would really like to use my Mic with the desktop version of Lumo.

Allow Lumo to be set as the voice assistant
Dear Proton Team,
I have always wanted a open source Voice Assistant on my phone as I do not want my conversations with a big tech company like Google Assistant or Gemini.
Currently the only solution I know of is Dicio but the assistant is quite basic in its capabilities so far, Lumo would be a great option because it's based on intelligent AI from Proton.
Please vote for this idea of you wish to see this in Lumo!

Allow Lumo to deal with Memory reduplicates
I notice the memory list often has either exact duplicates or very similar worded info. I presume there is some kind of self-check to see if a memory has already been added. But its not quite up to standard.
May i suggest can we give Lumo permission to comb through the memory and weed out duplicates or too similar ones. If there are edge cases it could apply a tag for a special filter called User Attention Needed (or something) and we can click on this button that is lit up when it has memories to assess and we only…4 votes -
Feature Request: "Amnesia Bridge" – Cross-Chat Context Retrieval
When chats close due to resource limits, all invested context is lost. Users must re-upload files and start from scratch—wasting time and compute.
Proposal: Let users selectively pull context from older chats into active conversations: "Lumo, check our chat from last week for what we found about XY." -> the desired feature is similar to "websearch" - just scoping the own (internal) activities.
Optional: User tagging of important chats for quicker discovery.
Why it fits: Same privacy model, just extended. Decryption stays client-side, metadata stays user-controlled and encrypted. No server-side indexing.
Impact: Better session continuity, no redundant uploads, preserves invested…

AI-powered billing verification for construction (delivery notes + measurement = invoice)
I'm a construction site manager in landscaping (GaLaBau). Our industry software (greenGALA 8, BAUSU) is purely static – it generates output but performs no automated checks or reconciliations. Every verification is done manually: data entry, Excel cross-checks, triple manual control, handwritten delivery note sorting, and final invoice plausibility checks.
The core billing equation in construction is: Delivery notes + Measurement = Invoice. There is currently no tool that automates this reconciliation across the entire chain.
Three areas where AI support would create massive value:
Delivery note processing – Delivery notes are often barely legible: handwritten, dirty, incomplete, filled out on-site.…
