"Search" option in Proton Calendar
There should be definitely, and fast, a "search" option in Proton Calendar.
One has to be able to find a word, a name, an address etc, instead of going back searching day-by-day this item.

Why does this feature take so long to deploy?

This is a must for me too. I can not switch a calendar without it.

Hello !
Remember this date : 2020-03-15 ?It's the day that you received a enhancement request to add a search in Calendar...
Yes, we see that itś Planned but Please consider to raise the priority...
Thank you-Early Proton user

Would love this to happen otherwise it makes long term calendar use so difficult if you have to scroll back through all events to find something. This would make a HUGE difference.

Read through the comments on this one and it seems 2 years user been asking for this. I've been setting up mail, drive and calendar last few days preparing to switch over from Apple - Google etc. I would be ready to go to a paid plan, but the SEARCH function is critical yes.
Sorry for the Proton team, but I'm not waiting around another 2 years. I'm not going to make the switch to proton this way. Will look for other options for Android/Linux users. -

Really, search function is critical, "non negotiable" :)
I've seen that the implementation is long time requested... I know that the software modification is not easy, but why so long? Are you really planning to implement it? Are there issues with the implementation of the search function?

Please please please get this done quickly! It's killing me and causing issues with my spouse as I'm trying to convince her to give up Google for good. This is a critical Must Have. Thanks!

Hard to believe that there is no SEARCH feature in Proton Calendar. Without that, I can't move away from Gmail Calendar. And I cannot convince anybody to move out of Gmail Calendar to Proton Calendar ! A petty, since Proton Calendar is very nice!
Please, add this feature asap. At least start with a search for description, later you add the body . But we need at least some basic search !!! -

After waiting two years I'm giving Proton until the end of this quarter to get this feature added; otherwise, I am cancelling my paid subscription and moving to an alternative solution. Like many others on this thread have already pointed out, in the 21st century, basic search functionality isn't a nice to have. It's a minimal viable feature for a web product. Without it Proton Calendar is a clunky, unusable, worthless, PoS.

I'm happy to see this is planned, but what is the current ETA?

More than two years after the request was first posted, we are still waiting. A calendar without a search function is useless. Why should people pay good money for your tools when those tools don't even have the bare minimum features to make them useful? If you spent 5 minutes researching what people like and don't like about Gmail, you would understand that Proton Calendar is nowhere near ready for prime time. If I have to choose between usability and encryption on my calendar, I really have no problem going back to Gmail. So what if hackers can find out about my upcoming dental appointment? At least I can sync it on my phone and search for calendar entries. Encryption is great, but not at the cost of usability.

When is this planned for? Initial suggestion came up in November 2020 :-/

The calendar is useless until it has a search function. Right now it is too basic to be useful.

Yes, please! Search is crucial for me.

Without a search function in Proton calendar, I had to go back to google calendar. PUT THE SEARCH FUNCTION IN; IT'S ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL.

lacking this function is really a deal breaker. What could be the issue implementing this?

This should be at both the individual and group calendar functions

With this, you should also be able to select all the found events. I made the mistake of importing a Google Calendar with an event series up until 2030 into my main calendar. I would need years to delete all those by hand...
