I agree, the colors look to similar. I struggle to see the difference between some colors, especially in the iOS app where the events are marked with a small colored dot in the monthly calendar.

glad we have the calendar now also for the Iphone and having different colors would make it so much better. As an advisor color coding clients for invoicing makes life much easier

I always used color coding for my events in other calendars. Without it, you have to spend way more time reading what's going on in your schedule. It looks messy.
It's a crucial usability feature for me.

A full color picker might be a better option. The 20 colors of similar shades is not good and makes the calendar confusing with colors that are too close in appearance.

While it would be easier to have a calendar per projects (or personal, work, family etc) and colors depending on the event type (tasks, birthday, meeting, deadline etc...)
Or for students, a color per class.

Honestly it's kind of ridiculous that it's not a feature, it's the only reason I don't use proton calendar but have to rely on google instead.

One would think a paid service would have more if not at least the same features as a free service but in Proton's case, this simply is not true.

Having different colors is absolutely, incredibly important. Why the developers didn't think of this beforehand is beyond belief.

I don't like using the free services but I have to until proton steps up and starts delivering a quality product one would assume to get when paying.

I'd go one step further and just put a colour picker or hex code entry for the colours. I don't see the need to control what colours people want to use.

This is an absolutely critical feature. Creating an additional calendar just to have access to a new color is simply unintuitive. One should not have to make an entire calendar dedicated just to their gym schedule, or any other recurring activity. That simply overcomplicates things.

Having additional calendars I would say is for people who want to divide the different realms of their life and don't want to mix them ESPECIALLY when SHARING calendars with OTHER users. You don't want your co-workers seeing that you're going to therapy every Tuesday, or having a dermatologist or gynecologist appointment every third of the month. Being able to separate these things is the essence of privacy.

Being able to tell the difference between my sleep and morning routine however should be a simple click. For those of us crazy people who TRY to plan every second of our days, our entire calendar just looks like one big BLOB, where the only distinguishing thing is the title of the events themselves. It's not good, and needs to be changed. Thank you!!!

I would prefer to use Proton's calendar over Google. I'm trying to get Google out of my life as much as possible. I can't use your calendar unless I can color code the events. People have been asking for this for a few years now. What is the big deal? Just do it.

My family is so ingrained to using the color coding on activities that they won't switch at this point unless this feature is added.

I use a calender events as tasks and I am missing to have a color option.
As a Ian a started creating multiple calendar but it is more confusing as helpful...

This would be extremely helpful. At the moment, I just create different calendars for different items, which does the trick, but it could be much better. Also, more colour options would be a great plus.
