Edit single instance of a recurring event
There appears to be no way to edit a single instance of a recurring event. So if the 2nd item needs to be shifted by 15 minutes or location changes, that change will affect entire series. Please add the ability to edit either a single event... or the entire series.

As of March 2024, this feature is available on the web. Coming soon to other apps.

Yes, this is an important feature for my organization. I frequently wish we had it.

An absolute necessity!

Is it really still in a backlog and not in development?! I just started to moving my team events to Proton and now it seams the most basic features are missing.

It's what's keeping me from using Proton Calendar. It is amazing that this has not been implemented yet. Seriously what's the issue ? at least add an option to break a series to 2 or more series, that would help a lot

It is beyond moderately absurd that this has been added as a known limitation of Proton Calendar under the Proton Calendar FAQ, instead of just developing the feature. We're coming up on 2 years in May since this was first posted, and still have no timeline on this, which should be CORE functionality of a calendar platform. Proton, do better. :-|

Not something I've had to do until today but disappointed I can't do it. I use recurring events to organise my family and some weeks, something gets cancelled. Recurring events need some flexibility.

Please, pretty please. This is the single feature that's keeping me from outright deleting my Google calendar account.
There are multiple feature suggestions with this same theme but slightly different descriptions. Combining them would raise the total number of votes and therefor priority of this enhancement.

Also, there are several mentions of this feature under different descriptions. If you combine them all into a singular description, you will see it jump in the number of votes/priority.

All of the above. I manage my family and personal calendars and being able to modify individual events within a series (start/end times, descriptions, or delete a specific instance without deleting all of them) is critical. It's the one feature that keeps me from completely moving away from Google calendar. Please!!!

Agreed @CS. Hard to believe that zero progress has been made with this in the 8 months since I posted in this thread...it is a core feature of a calendar.

Seriously... How is this not possible yet? It makes it quite hard to try and migrate from another service. I'm having to constantly go back to GMail/GCal to be able to interact normally in this instances, for something as simple as selectively responding yes or no to a recurring event.

On at least two online calendars this is a feature (e.g., Google Calendar, Outlook); why there hasn't been any progress on this? Any feedback from the development team will be appreciated.

Additionally, the ability to cancel this single event with a description of why you're requesting it to the calendar event creator.

This is such a basic feature for calendars, should be available in proton

Just as others have said, please please make it possible to alter a single occasion of a recurring event, even if others have been invited. Also, add the option to NOT update others - for example allow me to add my own personal notes to occasions to which I've invited others.

There is an option to delete instances, but only if there are no participants. If you search --> you'll find many similar posts from others already. I've been going around and upvoting all of them because this is a MAJOR issue for my usage of the calendar.

This seems to be possible for a single instance of events with no invitees/attendees, but not for events that have invitees/attendees. Quite a glaring omission of key functionality that really is required for recurring events with invitees/attendees, as it is more frequent to have to reschedule a single instance when dealing with multiple peoples' live/schedules.

I really miss that feature...

This seems like a very simple feature to add. I ran into this issue today and was surprised it gave two options when trying to adjust ONE day of a recurring event: "cancel" and "update" (all).
Click cancel, brings you back to the edit box. press "update" and it updates ALL the future events. Very inconvenient. OP Idea was submitted may 18, 2021 -_- -

Yes! This is has been something I've been so accustomed to being able to do in other applications (e.g.: Google Calendar).
