Add details to Email event reminders
Please add the actual name of the event and its details to the email notification.
I was excited to have the email notification option added, which was the last thing keeping me from switching completely from Google. However, the email notifications themselves are disappointing, as they don't even say what the event is, so I have to open my calendar separately to see. I keep the notifications in my email as a reminder and delete them when I'm done, and I need to know what the actual reminder is for without having to open the calendar.

Work on this feature request is underway, starting with iOS.
🗓️ A new calendar invite widget shows the main event info in all emails that contain event invites. Tapping on it takes you to the #ProtonCalendar app directly from your inbox.

☝ Just imported all my calendar events from Google just to find that my email reminders look exactly the same. Useless. It's been a year since this *basic feature* request has been opened by Proton and still nothing. I would have been fired long ago if it took me this long to get anything done.

One can only hope in the next millennium will be able to see the title of the calendar entry on the web version on a PC too

If I bought a box of matches and they didn't strike and make a light I would be upset and want my money back.
If I bought a car and the wheels didn't turn or the engine didn't start I would send it back to the garage and sit whilst they fixed it.
If I bought a saucepan and weeks later during normal use a hole appeared in the bottom pouring my soup onto the stove I would ask the maker to pay for my dinner (and fix the hole or give me a new pan.)
If I made an entry in a calendar and setup a few reminders I would expect the Email reminder to REMIND ME OF THE UPCOMMING EVENT ! Not ask me to go round to my neighbour and ask them if they knew what the reminder was all about.
And, during setting up a reminder it would be really really handy to have a template (or two) so that instead of tediously working through each entry with the pattern of times I wanted a reminder I could just click on pattern No3
Yes?

Please add this feature on Android. I moved from Google Calendar and I have multiple events every single day, this reminder system is useless and just amounts to spamming myself with unhelpful emails.
"Reminder: event starting on Friday, February 28 (all day)"

This is such a big one for me, especially with my ADHD. Since I check my email regularly, I use these email notifications as my reminders to not forget upcoming things. When the event is hidden, I don’t see it automatically every time I check my email. Basically, it’s a critical part of my system for not forgetting events.

How is such a simple item an open request for so long? Works was started on it almost a year ago..

Yes this Feature should be implemented as fast as possible!
The Subject Line of the reminder Email should be:
Reminder: Event (Event title) starting at 6:00 AM (GMT+1) on Wednesday, February 12
I mean this is not hard to implement at all. You could have done this already very easily. I mean this is a total standard feature for every other calendar.
If i get a notification Email i want to see immediately what it is about.
The current subject line is nearly useless.I have lots of Notification Emails every day.
Having to open every single Email to see what it is about is far from ideal.I really wonder why you did not orientate on the behavior of other successful Calendars when creating yours. This "feature" should have been there from the beginning.
Every other Email Calendar (like Yahoo) displays the Event Title which is pretty standard.
I hope you get this done soon.
Until then i will have to transfer all my repeating Events to Yahoo and switch back to using yahoo calendar.

We need the details in the email.
If the calendar sends the email to a proton account, include the calendar title in the email subject. Include calendar details in the body.If the calendar sends email to non-proton account, include the calendar title in the email body to protect privacy.

Thank you Proton team for starting this feature.

I also would like that feature! Emails without name of an event are quite useless for me.

I really hope the event name will now appear in the email title, thats super important for the workflow as described by the request.

If there's a testing beta for more advanced notifications on Windows, I'd love to be part of that beta.
At time of writing, the current Windows notifications for Proton Calendar are far too simplistic to be of any real use. I've personally tinkered with snoreToast (a method where I can send myself notifications from my own locally run Node.js scripts) and there's a lot that can be done without too much trickery that Proton could develop.
Importantly, add buttons, ability to click through to hyperlinks, and that both these features continue to function correctly if a notification is missed but then user-actioned via the lingering notification that's collected in the Windows Notification sidebar (WindowsKey + A).

When I receive an email notification from a calendar event it is hard to remember what it was for since at times, I have multiple events on or near the time of other events. I would like a way to include certain metadata in the email notification of an event. The title, description, date/time (already there) and the recurrence summary.
This would eliminate the need to open the calendar to see what I am getting a reminder for.

I support this 100%. I typically use the email reminders as a way to keep track of tasks done or not done yet, and this cannot work out if the automatic reminder email does not include the title of the calendar event in the subject line. This is one of the features I miss most, and that is blocking me to move away from GCalendar + GMail at the present time.

I worry when Proton Community Team states that a request has been started because Proton User Voice is full of requests stated as "started" for almost a decade and still not done yet and also why only iOS first? 🤔

This improvement would:
Save time of opening and reading email body X 1000 events = approx 1 hour
Increase coherence of the reminder
Increase convenience which will promote greater use
Efficiency gain would elevate Calendar to time management functionality -

I would also like to see the time at a glance (besides the actual date). As Cody M already wrote an option in the settings to enable/disable would be enough. It's really cumbersome to click Replay in order to see the date including time when a mail was received.
