Create event in shared calendar from mobile app
I need to be able to create events in a shared calendar from the iOS app. Currently, it's only available on the web.

My partner and I use shared calendar's in a duo plan to organise our lives. It's super critical that we're able to both edit the calendar, but seems backwards that it works via the web but not the iOS mobile app?!

I finally have bothered my family long enough that they are considering to try a switch to proton, even though their work calendar is still in the microsoft-claw and it's a nuisance for them to operate two calendars. Please please prioritize this, as they will never log into their calendar in the browser just to add an event to the family-calendar on their phone.

It looks like this feature has made it into the iOS beta!

This feature is essential for us. We are switching away from US tech companies but the inability to share a calendar is a daily problem.

I have to wonder if anyone from Proton actually reads this thread. If they did, any sensible business would make this a top priority update.

I honestly couldn't believe my eyes that this feature apparently isn't possible?! We've already booked the family plan. I really wish I had known this beforehand. It makes the whole concept absurd, doesn't it?!

Like many other users in the comments, I'm trying to move my family over to Proton Calendar. We have a Proton Family subscription, The ability for us all to add and share events via mobile is critical.
Please prioritize this on your backlogs. I would suggest that unless there are critical internal changes that need to happen, you should really focus on something your users have been asking you for repeatedly for more than 2 years. Losing customers over missing features (and the subsequent bad word of mouth) is far worse than missing a deadline on a feature no one's been asking for.

We switched to proton as a family to get away from USA based companies, it this is really critical in a family to have !

We made the switch to Proton Duo to get away from US based ecosystem. Please make editing available to invited users, we really need this.

This functionality should be available in the app. Can this be developed soon, please?

Is there a roadmap for this?

This feature is highly needed to bring my wife to Proton. If not, we are forced to stay with Google Calendar.

Unbelievable - two years on and still no action to remedy this. The only possible explanation is that Proton developers don't use Proton apps.

This is a must have to be able to actually used shared calendars together. Please implement this soon!

Finally got my wife to switch over to Proton from Google and immediately find out that we can't create events under the same calendar on the iOS app. This is definitely not a good feature to be missing when trying to bring over new users.

We started a family plan as well.
Now only the creator of a calendar can create events. The purpose of the family calendar is to let everyone create their own events, obviously….not working in the ios app though… -

I moved my family to proton and moved all my calendars. Only today did I find out that iOS mobile app users can't add events to our shared family calendar. Ugh.
