Could you please work to incorporate task manager features in Proton calendar? This is critical to be able to replace apps like Todoist.
The current way to enter events is fine, but it's a bit archaic. We also need to be able to add tasks that can be checked off. AI could be used to streamline data entry for both of these processes.

Ability to Search for Contacts by Phone Number
Hi! I have been using Contacts within ProtonCalendar more lately and would really like the ability to type in a phone number (or partial phone number) and see which contact it belongs to. Some people I only have emails for, so the search by email is great! I think expanding it to allow for searching by phone number would be super helpful and also allow Proton Contacts to better compete with the likes of iCloud/Google Contacts but with all of the awesome E2EE on top :)

Invite Participants via Link in Proton Calendar
I would like to suggest adding a feature to Proton Calendar that allows users to invite participants via a shareable link. This would simplify the process of inviting others to events and make it easier to manage invitations without needing to manually enter each participant's email address.

Modify existing events in the mobile app
If an event is created with participants, this event cannot be modified at all from the mobile app (iOS in our case). Regardless if the event is recurrent or a one-off, it is not possible to modify it after it's been created w/participants in it. Single events that I create without additional participants can be modified.

Decline a single instance of a recurring event from an external sender
When an external sender invites me to a recurring event series, I would like to be able to decline single instances of that event.
Desired MVP user experience:
1. Person invites me to a recurring event series
2. When I need to decline a single instance of an event, I go to that event on my calendar and set my "Attending?" status for that instance to "No, I won't attend"
3. I am prompted whether I'd like to decline just this event, all future events, or the entire series. I select 'this event'.
4. The single instance of the event…8 votes -
Calendar app for iPadOS respecting screen size
Please make a proper iPadOS app for the Calendar. Today it's possible to use the iOS - butt - yeah, it's kind of useless given it's screen size. Making the app respecting iPadOSs screensizes would be nice.

Duplicate Event on Mobile Apps
It's now possible to duplicate events on the web app. This request is specifically about hastening the deployment of that feature in the mobile apps. This is a core function for me and many users and needs to be available on mobile apps ASAP.

Proton Mail/Calendar snap application for Linux users
It would be really great to have Proton Mail/Calendar snap application for Linux users. That would potentially give us automatic updates and single app for all distros, among other benefits of snaps.

Refresh Calendar Feed
There does not appear to be a way to force a refresh of a calendar feed. For example, I have a Google Calendar that I share with my partner. I deleted items on that calendar, but they remain in Proton, even after several hours and multiple force browser refreshes.
As a thought, you could put the refresh option in the three-dot, drop-down menu that appears next to each calendar name.

menstruation tracking
In today's socio-political environment many women are in danger of having their menstrual tracking data used to jail or kill them for "crimes" such as using birthcontrol or having a miscarriage. Having this data in a secure encrypted place will save lives. If menstruation specific events / data tracking could be added to the calendar it would be extremely helpful.

video call integrations should hold up to privacy standards of proton
"Zoom has been criticized for its privacy and corporate data sharing policies, as well as for enabling video hosts to potentially violate the privacy of those participating in their calls." From Wikipedia.
There are plenty open source and privacy conscience alternatives!

Integration with Private Self-hosted Personal Knowledge Management Apps (Obsidian, maybe Logseq)
Given the encryption standards for Proton Calendar, I think to push/pull data to other PKM apps would require integration built by Proton vs. what a fan-made plugin could do.
Apps like Obsidian have gotten fairly popular, using standardized formats like markdown for constructing notes and managing data, all while self-hosted and private.
It would be neat to be able to construct tasks for your Calendar time-blocks, link comprehensive notes to recurring events, all while having Proton Calendar provide system-wide notifications without any data being tracked like many other calendar apps.

Allow for syncing Proton Calendar with Thunderbird, which is the client I use for PM emails on my iMac.
Proton calendar currently does not have support for 3rd party apps, such as Thunderbird. I use Thunderbird with all of my PM email addresses and do not want to have another app open it is convenient from my personal and freelance work emails to be all in one place.

Use SimpleLogin aliases in Proton Calendar
I have been using SimpleLogin aliases with a custom domain and forwarding those emails to Proton Mail, which has been working fantastically. The only downside is that I cannot use these aliases for calendar events, which is a major usability issue. In order to actually use Proton Calendar I would need to expose my actual email address which defeats the purpose of using SimpleLogin in the first place. I would love to be able to have Proton Calendar integrate with SimpleLogin aliases.

Video Conferencing tool (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom alternative)
While a video conferencing tool was mentioned in the 2024 survey, I wanted to emphasise the value this would have. For those of us who try to stay away from Big Tech providers, video conferencing for things like scheduled catch-ups with friends is one area where existing alternatives are limited.
Signal have done a great job with their video chat option, however this is fundamentally different from a conferencing tool that can be integrated and managed from a calender, and scheduled with invites in advanced.
IMO this would be a great addition to Proton Calender, which is a cool tool,…
