Lumo Plus subscription should be completely independent from existing Proton subscription
Make it possible to subscribe to Lumo Plus independently from an ongoing Unlimited/Duo/Family subscription. As it is, I cannot subscribe to Lumo Plus for one month while keeping my ongoing 24-months subscription. The only option is to convert my 24 months subscription to a 12 months subscription and add a 12 months Lumo Plus subscription. That is not what I want, so I will not try Lumo Plus for the time being.

My challenge is not the syncronization of subscriptions, but rather that I want to have the Lumo Plus only for 1 of the accounts in the Family.
If I try to buy it, it will ask me to pay for everyone in the Family subscription. I need it just for 1 of the accounts.
This stops me currently for buying the subscription.
The solution to the problem as described by J would probably also resolve my issue. -

Lumo plus is also available as a gplay subscription in the app but I don't want to give a big cut to google so I checked the options directly from proton. There I'd have to switch my Proton Plus 2Y to the more expensive Proton Plus 1Y, just to buy Lumo Plus for the same price as through google.

I am with you. Proton is losing my business on this in favour of ChatGPT. I currently subscribe monthly to ChatGPT. However, I am not comfortable with ChatGPT. Despite paying a subscription, I am now getting Advertising. I want to subscribe monthly to Lumo Plus. However, I have an Annual Proton Duo plan. I don't want to switch that plan to a monthly plan. I don't want to subscribe to an annual Lumo Plus plan (yet...maybe in the future). I don't want to create a separate account to access Lumo Plus, I have enough accounts as it is. So I am completely with the poster on this. While I am a proud supporter of Proton, it seems they won't be getting my AI support until this changes. I'll continue to use the free version but get frustrated with the limitations of this and just return to ChatGPT.

I don’t think I’m understanding the issue. If I’m missing what you folks are getting at, I apologize.
I just paid for 24 months of a Family plan, then I saw Lumo+, and then bought 24 months of Lumo+. I didn’t have to give up or convert or downgrade anything.

100% or bundle Lumo into our so called “Unlimited” plan for no additional charge. One or the other.

Totally agree. I am not continuing with Lumo Plus for exact this reason. I may want to sign up for a limited time to Lumo Plus, rather have it linked with my Ultimate account.

Currently I would probably need to create a new Proton account for Lumo Plus to prevent it affecting my current plan and payment schedule.
