  1. For business accounts implement better data management features in drive and mail.

    Add a data management console in Proton Drive at the account management level that allows the account holder or users flagged as part of the business' compliance team to review the data hosted by proton for audit/ATIP/regulatory/statutory compliance purposes.

    Features like access logs, versioning, and permission management would be key.

    A toggle allowing a business to select a predetermined standard (such as GDPR or the UK Privacy standard) for their organization or user groups within their organization would be ideal. Only a few standards would be necessary overall, as smaller countries and regions usually follow a bigger regime.

  2. iPad Proton Pass: Inconsistent tab navigation behavior

    The iPad edition of Proton Pass doesn't always respond well to the tab key when navigating UI elements.

    For example, when using an official Apple iPad physical keyboard, then pressing the tab key inserts a literal tab into the Proton Pass login item title, rather than navigating down to the next element, the email address field.

  3. Not to save app login in data in iCloud backups

    This has happened multiple times on all of my proton apps. I have an iPhone and if I delete an app and reinstall it, the log in information is still saved. If I do a complete wipe and restore from backup, when I open the apps they are still logged in. This has to be a Proton thing because banking apps, for example, are all logged out and need to be logged in again.

  4. Confusing Proton Drive Web upload queue processing order

    When I drag & drop multiple files into the Proton Drive Web queue, then I expect the queue order to be consistent. But I'm seeing the "queue" process in a random order, which makes it harder to understand.

    Update:

    The queue processing order appears occur in the order that the files are dragged & dropped into the Proton Drive Web client, after watching several transfers complete. However, the visual order of the queue is what is out of whack. Some part of the Web app is losing information about the queue order before the elements are presented on screen.

  5. Proton Drive: Desktop uploads not as reliable as Web uploads

    For some reason, Proton Drive desktop uploads keep failing over and over, indefinitely. Whereas the Proton Drive Web client is able to successfully upload files (and show basic information about transfer rates and ETA's).

    This happens with large files on slow networks.

    I find it surprising, because normally a native application has more opportunity for control and tapping into performant, reliable code than Web apps.

    Unfortunately, the Web client was never designed to automatically sync the local Proton Drive directory tree. So although it is able to upload files, manually dragging & dropping hundreds of files creates more labor compared…

  6. OS / App parity

    Acheive functional parity across all OS and Apps within an individual OS

    macOS:
    Mail, Drive, Pass are all missing a 'Settings" menu option (cmd+,) VPN has it.
    Menu bar - Drive and VPN minimize to the menu bar, Pass keeps it's dock icon. Mail has no menu bar icon option at all
    Update checks - Only Drive on macOS has an option to check for updates within the app.

    Specifically looking at macOS - across the different app teams they've implmented this functionality, that just needs to be shared.

  7. Proton Drive keeps creating duplicate files

    Proton Drive very often creates duplicate files. The duplicates are not visible on desktop, but they are visible in the Proton Drive website.

    Stop creating duplicates with the exact same file path. When an upload succeeds, then at that time, overwrite the old entry.

  8. Hi team!, new paid plan with Proton Sentinel and Dark Web Monitoring for less than $3.50 with same features as free account?

    I am a basic user, no need for larger than 5GB storage or more than 4 email aliases, could a new plan be implemented?, Basically the free proton mail features with Proton Sentinel and Dark Web Monitoring included. for about $2.50/month It would be a great way to bring in more revenue and for us, users. a great way to stay safe and pay for those two extra features :)

  10. Proton Pass not autofilling Google Chrome on iPadOS

    For some reason, Proton Pass never seems to autofill authentication forms for websites on iPad Chrome, only on iPhone Chrome.

    To the best of my knowledge, I have enabled Proton Pass as the primary password manager. If anyone has tips to fix this problem, lemme know.

  12. Proton Drive: Bad behavior when attempting to sync identical files between desktop and cloud

    I've been having trouble syncing files using the Proton Drive desktop client.

    As a workaround, I am using the Web client.

    However, when I relaunch the desktop client, then Proton Drive appears to get confused about my files. They are already in the Proton Drive cloud, but the desktop client doesn't understand that. It keeps trying to slowly replace the remote file with an identical local copy. After several minutes, it fails (!) And then it just loops and retries and fails again, and again, forever.

    Since the attempt to desktop upload an identical file to the cloud continues slowly…

    • Proton can't use huge companies services and at same time say it works for user privacy and communication / information security !

    • at the moment at least Proton mail uses google services as part of android app functionality - also one can not participate beta testing of the app without using google play shop, which i and huge number of other geegs is never gonna do

  14. Stability enhancements for Proton Drive transfers

    Proton Drive sometimes encounters a high transfer error rate. This can happen in disconnected, interrupted, and low bandwidth environments, even for files < 30 MB.

    When this happens, Proton Drive shows a long list of transfer errors. Proton Drive automatically retries the files, but because it tries to transfer too many things at once, then the transfers can continue to fail again and again.

    Keeping the host awake overnight doesn't help. Pausing and resuming sync doesn't help. Quitting Proton Drive and relaunching doesn't help.

  15. Publish apps for Proton Wallet

    Hi,

    Proton Wallet looks interesting. I'd be more likely to use this cryptocurrency product if it expanded platform support beyond the website, to include desktop and mobile apps on the relevant app stores for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, and Android.

    For comparison, other cryptocurrency services already support these platforms with native applications.

  16. Get Proton back on the Minds Network

    I would love to keep up with the same updates that Proton posts on X over on Minds. They already have an account, but if they were to set up accounts for each of their products like they have on X, Minds has a feature where you can set it up to auto post straight from X. Zero effort.

  17. Proton Calendar Description - display the HTML correctly on iPhone

    Hi! I have enjoyed using my calendar across desktop and mobile.

    I have noticed that my calendar HTML description does not display correctly on my iPhone (leading to some difficulties finding details). I resolved to correct it when I was at my desktop and I realize that the HTML seems to display fine on the desktop.

    It will be helpful to me when the mobile app (specifically for iphone) can do so as well.

  18. Invitations

    At the moment, if I schedule a recurring event and invite a member to attend, they are automatically invited to attend every event in that sequence. I want to be able to choose to add them for a single event in the sequence or else choose whether or not and when to send out an invitation on a weekly basis.

  19. Proton Mail: More options for image tracker exclusion persistence

    Every time I open an email with tracker warnings for images, I have to manually re-allow the images.

    Please provide an option to remember the setting (per sender domain).

    More advanced options like remembering tracker exclusions per URL domain would also be helpful.

  20. Proton family with user permissions and monitoring

    I really want to use proton family, however I have young children. They will need an online identity at some point and I want to start teaching them now, but they are not old enough to have that own unmonitored email.

    My proposal is to have an option in proton family for the admin to treat accounts as users within an organization, similar to how the business suite functions.
