  1. Proton drive should remove "my computer" feature on PC and have a single default sync folder like MEGA.

    When I use mega, I can upload my document on my mobile phone and it immediately gets downloaded on my PC mega folder. Vise versa.

    Proton drive should do the same.

    The "My computer" folder sync feature on PC is completely useless. Your ios app don't even have the "my computer" folder. It means I cannot access information on my mobile when I upload documents on my PC. You should make a default cloud drive folder like MEGA. Let users drag their documents to that folder, auto sync, and it should be available on all platforms. More user friendly.

    A service that allow me to create phone number aliases to protect my real phone number.

    also allowing me to decide whether to apply a supplementary charge rate to incoming calls on specific alias number or not.
    All unwanted calls will be charged at a higher rate than a normal call.

    A mobile application to keep an eyes on our family, love one, children, parents but with the privacy of proton.

    The application could provide with approbation :
    - precise gps position tracking
    - current batteries level
    - current network level
    - general important alerts (terrorism, disaster)
    - panic message / button
    - alerts (an airtag is following you / scam detected)
    - accident / fall detection
    - medical reminder

  8. Develop a 2FA application

    Create a 2FA application to be used with Proton applications as well as 3rd party systems that require authentication. It would also be great if you could import settings from a different authentication provider such as Google, DUO, Microsoft, etc.

  10. Don't forward Gmail spam to Proton Inbox

    When Proton Mail connects with Gmail, it sends Gmail spam to the Proton Inbox. This carries phishing security risks.

    Junk mail should route to the Proton spam folder. Or just skip importing it at all.

  11. Desktop App Packaged for Arch Linux and Others

    I see that there is a desktop app packaged for Debian and Fedora based distros. It would be great to have a desktop app that could be installed directly as an Arch package. Alternatively, a flatpack, AppImage, homebrew package, or some other distro agnostic binary would be useful, too.

    Dear Proton,

    You guys are amazing and I really enjoy using your products.

    What I enjoy about your approach is that you guys are extremely thorough in terms of privacy, security and configurability.

    This idea is a little bit different than your normal activities perhaps, but how about Proton router and Wi-Fi access points? So Proton network infrastructure products.

    Proton could explore designing Proton secure home and business routers and Wi-Fi access points / extenders.

    There are many suggestions on a topic. Each suggestion has its own votes.
    In such cases, can you combine the suggestions and votes?

    This way, the votes are combined in one suggestion and thus gain more importance.

  15. Make the reply window movable.

    When I reply to an email, the compose window is stuck to the bottom. I can either maximize it to full window, or minimize it. But it is still stuck. I would like to be able to move it to my other monitor, or even just move it out of the way to re-read the email I am responding to while I am typing my response. It is always in the way, and I have to keep minimizing it to read the email, then enlarging it to type more response. I want to be able to move it around with…

  16. Split Tunneling for localized gaming

    Have two separate people with authentication log into the same account and use that VPN in conjunction with a hotspot feature on the phone at both locations to be able to have 2 people hook up via LAN to play a game. CIV 6 and other games like Mario kart work easier with LAN vs online infrastructure

    This place is getting some bot account promoting various stupid adverts.

  18. Swipe for next/previous e-mail

    On Android, on other mail clients (like Aqua Mail) once you open an e-mail you can swipe left and right to switch to next or previous mails in the same folder. That is a fast way how you can swipe through multiple new e-mails that you want to read without needing to go back to the list of e-mails in the folder.

  19. To-do list

    Create a to-do list app similar to todoist. With reminders and linked to our Proton agenda. That'd be really a killer app. You want to protect privacy. Can you imagine the private data companies get out of personal todolists? They know so many things we do!

  20. Report commonly used passwords

    As a security minded user, I want to be warned when my password matches one from a breach, even if the username / email address is unrelated, so that I can protect my accounts from credential stuffing.

    Example username agnostic password lookup service:

    I imagine that Proton Pass can add some new, ID decoupled queries to its existing breach data sources that would fulfill the same need.
